Cool Video: A look at “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2”, a preview…

This isn’t really a trailer, just a short behind the scenes look, but you can see some of the footage from the new film. The new film looks intense, dark, and action packed. It’s probably going to be the darkest Harry Potter film of them all.

I’ve been reading the Harry Potter books, and I’ve just started reading, “The Deathly Hollows”. Since I already saw “Deathly Hollows part 1”, that’s only half the book, obviously. I’m looking forward to the rest of the story in the book. I’m just starting it, I’m a little over a hundred pages in already.

It’s amazing. I wasn’t that much of a Harry Potter fan before, but now I’m all of a sudden, a Harry Potter fanatic. I fucking love these stories. Pretty amazing stuff.

In my opinion, J.K. Rowling should write three more Harry Potter books. Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t want to do it anymore, but Harry Potter can pass the torch to someone else to be the series leading star. Maybe pass the torch to Hermione Granger or Ronald Weasley. Keep the stories going, it shouldn’t end at 7. Maybe J.K. Rowling would create some kind of Harry Potter spin-off? Possibly.

Enjoy the video.

Report: Stephen King in talks to write an episode for “The Walking Dead” Season 2…

At this year’s “C2e2” (Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo) convention in Chicago, Laurie Holden who plays Andrea in “The Walking Dead” spoke at the IGN panel. She revealed some big news that the master of horror, Stephen King will write an episode for “The Walking Dead” Season 2 which is pretty exciting news. It’s no surprise to me that Stephen King could be a fan of the show ’cause I figure he would be.

It’s nice to see that “The Walking Dead” TV series finally picked up Stephen King to do something for the series. The series could use a writer like Stephen. He could make an episode that would actually be very scary.

See the full story here, at IGN.

As you can see in the video, they reveal some plot points for Season 2. Season 2 will start off right after where Season 1 ended. The main focus of the story will be about Andrea, she will deal with the aftermath of her suicide attempt from the CDC building explosion in the episode, “TS-19”. The article says she will have feuds with Dale and Shane. Rick Grimes and his friends will go travel to Hershell’s Farm, probably another place for safety for them away from the walkers. The article also says the next season will get darker and more gruesome. So I can’t wait!!!

I’d like to see John Carpenter or George A. Romero direct an episode for Season 2, maybe even Rob Zombie. I hope Season 2 will be good and won’t disappoint. I’m sure it will be just as good as the first season.

What I do music for…

I posted this in a facebook status yesterday:

“I don’t play music for fame, popularity and money which so many musicians seems to be obsessed with playing music for. I play music for the passion of it. To enjoy myself and be happy. Just wanted to put that out there.”

There are too many unsigned musicians and bands these days, wanting to make it to the big time or become well known or make lots of money playing music. That stuff maybe nice, but like I always say, I honestly don’t care about any of that shit. I’ll repeat myself, I play music for me. To be happy and be proud of something I’m doing.

Bands shouldn’t worry about fame, popularity and money too much, when it should be about the love of music.

Report: Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s “Dark Knight: Rises” character revealed, Juno Temple as a street-smart Gotham girl?

Wow, Christopher Nolan is on a roll. He’s a hard working man. Going back and forth from “Batman” and “Superman”. First Nolan hires Diane Lane and Kevin Costner for the new “Superman” flick. Next here comes two new castings confirmed for, “The Dark Knight: Rises”.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is indeed signed on to the new Batman flick, WB’s kept quiet on what role he will be playing, but his character has already been leaked to the web. Gordon-Levitt will be playing, the Holiday Killer, Alberto Falcone from, “The Long Halloween” graphic novel.

The role for Juno Temple is still being kept secret, but they gave us a clue that she will play a street-smart Gotham girl. That’s a hint that she’ll be playing a costumed character, either a villain or a hero.

See the full article at, Variety.

I was thinking Juno Temple will be playing Harley Quinn, but since the Joker won’t be coming back, it can’t be possible. Harley Quinn only works if Joker is around.

There are two other young characters in the Batman comics that she would be most fitting for. She could be playing Stephanie Brown, the female Robin or Batgirl. If you knew the Batman comics, Stephanie Brown was both Robin and Batgirl. I bet that’s who Juno will be playing, Stephanie Brown. Obvious prediction.

I have read, “The Long Halloween” graphic novel. I have it in my book collection. It seems Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy have been borrowing a lot of plot ideas from that novel. They still continue to borrow stuff too, I’ve noticed.

A look at Pee Wee Herman’s successful comeback…

The Pee Wee Herman character was first brought to fame on HBO for the “Pee Wee Herman Show” in 1981. The Pee Wee character started off as a stand up comic at first. How did Paul Reubens create the character? Where did Pee Wee come from? The Pee Wee Herman character was inspired by an improvisational comedy team that Reubens used to be in, way back in the 70’s. The character went from there. Paul wanted the character to be an adult man that acts like a child. After the “Pee Wee Herman Show” aired on HBO in 1981, the character became hugely popular quickly. The character wasn’t just made for children, the character is mainly aimed to entertain adult audiences.

Since the characters success, the character became a little more mainstream in pop culture when Reubens teamed up with Tim Burton to bring the character to the big screen with a film titled, “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure”, about a man out to find his stolen bicycle. The film was a major hit. The movie inspired a new TV series that is supposed to be aimed for children titled, “Pee Wee’s Playhouse”, which is supposed to tone down the adult content and make it a family friendly series. The show was very successful and lasted for 5 seasons, it went from 1986 – 1991.

In 1988, another Pee Wee film was brought to the big screen, titled, “Big Top Pee Wee”, directed by Randal Kleiser. The film is about Pee Wee wanting to become a famous singer in front of screaming fans, so he does it by joining a circus in which he falls in love with a trapeze artist named, Gina. The film flopped in the box office.

In 1991, Reubens was arrested for masturbating in a adult porno theater. This forced, “Pee Wee’s Playhouse” to be canceled and Paul retired the Pee Wee character. During the 1990’s, Paul still acted in a variety of films while not in the Pee Wee character. He had roles, in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, “Batman Returns”, “Matilda”, “Blow”, and many other films.

In 2002, Reubens was arrested again being accused of collecting child pornography. Reubens pleaded not guilty and charges were dropped in 2004, clearing his name from the law. In 2004, Reubens father died of cancer.

In January of 2009, Reubens suddenly announced that he is finally giving Pee Wee Herman, a huge comeback. Now that he finally got his personal life straightened out, he figured this would be a perfect time to bring the character back to the mainstream. To hype up his return, he appeared in a slew of late night talk shows such as Jimmy Kimmel, Letterman, Conan O’ Brien, etc. to announce a four week show schedule at Club Nokia to bring his character to the stage. The shows were a major success, which gave Pee Wee an opportunity to bring Pee Wee’s Playhouse back to the stage on Broadway in New York City.

The New York City Broadway show aired last night on HBO for the first time. It was a very entertaining show. I loved it. I laughed all the way through and had a smile on my face, the entire time. I’m happy for Paul that he came back with Pee Wee in a huge way. All the characters from Pee Wee’s Playhouse, made a return last night, the whole gang. Cowboy Curtis, Captain Carl, Miss Yvonne, The King of Cartoons, Jambi, Chairry, Mr. Window, the Ant Farm, Penny the Claymation cartoon, etc. Yes, the whole gang.

Paul Reubens did a great job. I’m proud of him. What’s next for Pee Wee after this? Hopefully another big screen movie for the character. I think it’s time for a third Pee Wee film, don’t you? Pee Wee is successful enough that he deserves another film. Him and Judd Appatow are working on a script for another one, so that’s good news. Whether the next Pee Wee film will be based on the Playhouse show or another Tim Burton styled movie, I don’t care, either way is good for me. I just want him back on the big screen. I’ll see the new film, no matter what the material is. Congrats Paul!

Lifting heavy all the time is not good…

Another funny thing that goes on at the Greenwich Y, is that every time I work out there, everyone wants to lift heavy. I don’t see too many people lifting light. I was giving the advice for “muscle” confusion before and I’ve been following it. One week I lift kind of heavy, the next week I’ll lift everything light, next week I’ll lift medium, then heavy again. You want to mix it up. You see too many guys lifting over 200 lbs. of weights or more and they don’t even look that strong to lift that heavy yet.

In my opinion, lifting heavy all the time, you won’t get the results you want. It might give you more strength, yes, but doing nothing but lifting heavy will make you real sore all the time. It’s a risk for future injuries as well. You may think you won’t get injured now, true, but down the road, you will.

“Muscle” confusion is a great technique. If you mix it up, you can get muscle gains and strength both at the same time, and that’s what you want, in my opinion. Bodybuilding is not really all about trying to lift the heaviest weights possible, that’s what people think. When it really should be about looking great and feeling healthy.

Report: Was Lindsey Vonn robbed or was it fair? You be the judge…

At the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, in Switzerland, Germany’s Maria Reisch ended up winning first place, because they canceled the final race due to bad weather. Maria was in a 3 point lead, and Lindsey was pretty close behind. Lindsey had another chance to take the lead, but she can’t have that chance since they canceled the last race. They ended up letting Maria take the win. Lindsey is a three time World Cup winner and her chance of winning the fourth have been ruined.

I think Lindsey was definitely robbed. They couldn’t wait to have the final race until the weather settled down? There are other ways to handle this. I don’t think it’s fair. I think she was robbed because she’s an American, and they were tired of American’s winning it. I feel bad for Lindsey. I’ve admired her since the Winter Olympics the last time. She is a talented ski’er.

I used to go downhill skiing all the time when I was younger. It’s a fun thing to do.

Hang in there, Lindsey. I find this total bullshit. It was all done out of ego and politics.

RIP: Randy Rhoads

29 years ago today, the world of music lost one of the greatest guitarists of all times, Randy Rhoads. He was obviously Ozzy’s best guitarist. Ozzy can have other guitar players but no one can top Randy, ever. If Randy was still alive today, I’m sure he would still be playing with Ozzy. Ozzy wouldn’t let Randy go if he was still with us, because, Ozzy loved Randy too much as we all know. The Randy Rhoads era of Ozzy’s career has always been my favorite as well. Randy, a true guitar legend.
