Report: Drew Peterson is in the news again, says he can’t explain 3 deceptive questions in polygraph test…

Drew Peterson who is a former Illinois police sergeant who is named a suspect of the disappearance of his 23 year old wife, Stacy Peterson passed a polygraph test against her but failed against three questions. One of them being if he knew the whereabouts of Stacy, when he said “No”, the result came out deceptive.

There will be a book released this week titled “Drew Peterson: Exposed” written by Derek Armstrong, Drew complains that the book focused on the negative side of things of his life when he said it should focus on the positive.

More on it here:

I’ll probably buy the book and give it a read. The book is full of negativity on Drew Peterson for a reason and I think the asshole deserves the bad publicity.

Him getting all this fame over the missing Stacy Peterson is just pathetic. Everyone knows the loser is responsible. He is not in jail yet because there is no hard evidence proving that he did anything.

I think Stacy will get found either dead or alive. I would prefer she’s alive like everyone else but if she’s dead at least her family members would get answers.

Good to see the Nuge on the Palin/McCain side.

Report: J.K. Rowling vs. Steven Vander Ark/RDR Books feud to continue…

J.K. Rowling may have won the rights over the Harry Potter Lexicon lawsuit against Steven Vander Ark and RDR Books, but it seems as though Steven and RDR aren’t backing down.

They’re planning an appeal on the judge’s decision sometime this week. They are hoping that if the “Harry Potter Lexicon” gets edited, it’ll get published that way without violating copyrights.

Book Review: “New Moon” by Stephenie Meyer…

I’ve just finished reading “New Moon” part 2 of 4 of the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer this afternoon.

The story of this one revolves around a young Bella Swan who celebrates her birthday with the Cullen family, a vampire family who is the family of Edward Cullen. Bella accidently cuts her finger on a piece of paper which she starts bleeding. A new member of the Cullen family, Jasper, attacks Bella after he noticed he couldn’t stop thirsting for human blood.

Edward Cullen, Bella’s vampire boyfriend, then finally realizes that he is too dangerous to be around her. So Edward basically leaves her and he isn’t in the novel for mostly the whole story. Edward is only in the beggining and toward the end of the novel. Bella meets a new friend named Jacob Black, who helps Bella made a motorcycle get working again. She wanted to get a motorcycle working and learn how to drive one so she can travel around and find Edward. Jacob kept a dark secret from Bella, she later then discovered that Jacob is a werewolf. Jacob introduced Bella a group of friends which they are his pack of other werewolves, they enjoy cliff diving.

Later in the novel, Bella tries to go cliff diving herself, Jacob saved her life. Edward thought she was dead from the cliff diving incident so Edward travels to Italy to see the Volturi, a group of peace keeping vampires who are able to kill Edward. Bella and her vampire friend Alice, travel to Italy to stop Edward to save his life in return. The book once again ends (without giving any major spoilers) with speculation whether Bella will turn herself into a vampire. Does she turn into a vampire this time?

As far as my thoughts on “New Moon” goes. Not as good “Twilight” the first one but still a good read. I like the mix of werewolves and vampires. There are quite a bit of shocking twists and turns toward the end that I liked. While the novel is aimed directly at the teenage generation, there is still a little more violence, blood and the gore is starting to kick in some. I really liked the novel.

Stephenie Meyer, great writer. It’s great to finally read a vampire story that is different than all the others. Many vampire stories are all about evil and turning other people into vampires, but the Twilight series is a different thing. The Twilight series are aimed at young adults, but hey, isn’t the Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Harry Potter are aimed at young adults too? Yep. You’re never too old to read these things.

Score for “New Moon” by Stephenie Meyer = *** (3 stars as in good)

BREAKING NEWS: J.K. Rowling wins copyright infringement lawsuit against Steven Vander Ark’s “Harry Potter Lexicon” encyclopedia…

Die hard Harry Potter fan Steven Vander Ark had planned to publish a Harry Potter encyclopedia titled the “Harry Potter Lexicon”. She filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Steven Vander Ark and the RDR Books company who planned to publish it.

The judge made a final decision in court today that J.K. Rowling has successfully proven how publishing the encylopedia without her permission would harm her rights. The judge permanently blocked publication of the encyclopedia and awarded Warner Bros. studios the makers of the Harry Potter films $6,750 in damages.

The Associated Press reports:

It’s no surprise to me that she was going to win it. I already predicted it. She must have good lawyers that she was getting laid with to get out of this one.

Words of advice to Steven Vander Ark, tell her to fuck off and don’t support Harry Potter anymore.

Report: Stephenie Meyer puts 5th Twilight novel “Midnight Sun” on delay due to online leak…

Stephenie Meyer the author of the popular Twilight series wrote an open letter to her fans. She complains about her 5th Twilight novel to the series getting leaked online and she immediately puts the book release on hold because she feels her copyright of the novel been violated.

In “Midnight Sun”, it’s just another version of “Twilight” telling the story in the third person of Edward’s perspective, not Bella. She even posted the first chapter to “Midnight Sun” in her website in the link here:

http://stepheniemeyer.com/midnightsun.html

If you’re a writer or a musician, this is why you should never give out your work early before release, because what if they leak ’em online? You may trust that person well, but you don’t always trust anybody.

If you’re a  fiction writer or a musician, copyright all your work before making them public. I’ve just started writing short fiction stories again and I ain’t posting anything in the blog until I get ’em copywritten first.

Book Review: Twilight…

So I just got done reading the novel “Twilight” written by Stephenie Meyer. Stephenie Meyer is an author who currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Other than her writing career, she is also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, which this makes her Mormon. Since this a vampire novel written by someone with religious beliefs you will not see any profanity or nasty blood and gore in this novel. Although the novel “Twilight” was strictly written for young adults in their teens, the book has attracted to readers in all ages.

The story is about a girl named Bella Swan who moved to Forks, Washington to live with her father Charlie. Bella’s parents are divorced while her mother lives with her new husband back in Phoenix, Arizona. Bella goes to Forks high school and makes new friends while there. There is a teenage boy named Edward Cullen who she finds very strange, she didn’t like him at first but became friends later in the novel. She didn’t know what he was until she researched herself and found out that Edward was a vampire on her own. Edward wanted to be a good vampire, not an evil vampire like most are. Edward refuses to drink blood from humans, he only drinks and feeds on animals so Edward just hunts for wild animals out in the woods.

Later in the novel, Bella runs into some vampire evil, by running into something called a vampire tracker. A vampire tracker where he follows her every move just for sport. Bella then expresses her feelings of wanting to become a vampire herself so she can be out of her troubled life and be with Edward forever. Edward would not allow this to happen. Does it happen? You’ll have to read the book for yourself to find out.

As far as my thoughts on the novel goes. I’ve read it while I was on vacation in San Diego on the plane to there and back home. The book was hard to put down. Stephenie Meyer is a good writer. I enjoyed the pacing and the storyline is actually really good too. It’s actually more than just a love story, it has storylines in there that makes you wonder what is going to happen next. It has action and a little bit of horror in it as well. The movie is going to be great and now I’m glad I read the book before seeing the movie. I’ll start reading the next book “New Moon” (which is part 2 of the Twilight series) soon. This book is reccomended.

Score for Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” novel = *** 3 stars as in good

Report: Rollingstone magazine to shrink…

Jann Wenner the longtime editor in chief for Rollingstone magazine plans to make it shrink to a regular magazine size. For over 40 years the magazine has been in business, the magazine is known for it’s large and wide size. Jann feels that time is over.

The smaller size of Rollingstone will hit newstands Oct. 17th.

That’s a good thing they are doing! It’s about damn time too! I always hated that large size and it’s hard to read the magazine like that. Now the sentences and paragraphing in the magazine won’t be so wide, lol. The smaller magazine will make it much easier to read. Kudos, I like that idea.

Report: Stephen King delivers “N” animated comics to your mobile cell phones…

At this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, the festival revealed the big news that Stephen King will publish a new comic book “short story” series with Marvel that will be delivered to your cell phones. A short story comic titled “N”. Starting Monday, 25 episodes of the short story “N” will be delivered to your cell phones 5 times a week until Aug. 29th. Each episode will be two minutes long and the whole story is 54 pages.

A book version of the story will be released in bookstores Nov. 11th. Stephen King has been experimenting with comic books as of late as he always been a fan of comic books. In fact, comic books is what made the man want to become a writer in the first place because when he was a child, he started reading horror comics like “Tales from the Crypt”, “Tales From the Vault”, etc. His first comic book released was “Creepshow” which was later made into a major motion picture.

Now King is releasing the Dark Tower series into comic book versions with Marvel. Soon he will release “The Stand” into comic book versions with Marvel too. While Stephen King himself wasn’t there in person at the San Diego comic con, he was at the New York Comic Con to promote the Dark Tower graphic novels with Marvel.

Stephen’s comic work is great, I read the first Dark Tower graphic novel, I need to get the new one now.

Thought: If there was ever a Dark Tower film…Hugh Jackman would be perfect for Roland Deschain…

Most all Stephen King novels have been made into films, everything from TV mini series to major big screen pictures. While Stephen King movies are still being made to this day, one book series I would like to see get made into big theaterical release films is “The Dark Tower” series. Everytime I read the Dark Tower novels or the graphic Marvel comics of the series, I always picture in my head actor Hugh Jackman playing Roland Deschain the Gunslinger. Hugh Jackman is just a perfect fit for the character, in the 7 novels you’ve seen drawings of Roland and through the comics, if you look at the pictures and compare him to Jackman, you can see they both look almost exactly alike.

If there was ever a Dark Tower film series in the future, I can see no one else playing Roland Deschain but Hugh Jackman. The character seems to belong to Jackman just like Wolverine belongs to him. So anyone in Hollywood out there who plans to do the “Dark Tower” films, I would strongly suggest Jackman in the leading role as Roland Deschain. It would work and the first “Dark Tower” film would be a box office smash if Jackman was in it.

The Dark Tower films need to get made soon. The Dark Tower series are so damn popular that the movies would make the Harry Potter films look bad.
