BREAKING NEWS: Kurt Angle will NOT make the London Olympics due to serious knee injury during training…

For a long while now, Kurt Angle has been trying to make a big comeback to amateur wrestling for the Olympics, this year in London. In 1996, Kurt won a gold medal even though he had an injured neck (fracturing two of his cervical vertebrae, herniating two discs, and pulling four muscles), but he won the bout anyway against, Abbas Jadidi, an Iranian wrestler.

Kurt’s been trying really hard to make the Olympics again, but now his dream of an Olympics comeback looks to be over. During training sessions, he tore an MCL in his right knee and tore his right hamstring muscle. He was going to try out for the Team Trials in Iowa, in hopes of making the London Olympics, but he decided to pull out. The injuries look serious.

More on the story, here.

Well, after years of Kurt working for professional wrestling companies like WWE and TNA, and when you’re getting older, your body can’t take it anymore. Amateur wrestling is real wrestling. Not fake wrestling like you see in entertainment. Even though entertainment wrestling is fake, you still have to be physical and yes, it’s still a “sport”, in professional wrestling, no matter what you think of it.

While I feel bad for Kurt, this was expected to happen, so I’m not surprised at all. He shouldn’t have worked for TNA after all these years and put his focus on the Olympics instead. His years of working in the professional wrestling industry is what put his Olympics dream to an end.

It would be cool to see Kurt make it in the Olympics and see him win another medal. He should have seen this coming.

How about that Eli Manning, hey???

The Superbowl last night was great. I just got a little more respect for Eli, saving the day, when the Giants came close to losing.

Now to hit the gym this afternoon and burn off all the Superbowl cheat meals. Yep, I ate quite a bit. I had cheese, pepperoni & crackers for snacking, a few slices of pizza, and then a hot fudge sundae after. There was a little Superbowl party with family members.

Hope you all enjoyed yourself last night too.

Superbowl Sunday is the perfect day to pig out…

While my fitness nutrition is mostly healthy, it is not that perfectly healthy. It’s not like, I’m ever going to have a professional looking bodybuilder physique, anyway, so my meals aren’t that 100% strict. I do eat mostly healthy for the most part. I just had to get in decent shape so to do that, I had to change my nutrition to healthier like I always say.

Pretty much the only junk food I would touch are pizza, ice cream, chinese food and sometimes Mexican food like tacos/buritos. Sometimes fast food too. I gave up everything else like soda, potato chips, sugary snacks, etc.  Again, you can’t ignore junk food completely, it’s still okay to have like once or twice a week. Just don’t over do it. On the weekends, I’ll eat whatever I want, and I’ll never lose the muscle and the six pack.

So tomorrow on Superbowl Sunday, I’m planning to eat whatever’s on the table. I’ve been eating good most of this week anyway so I deserve a day off of the healthy nutrition. What am I doing for the Superbowl? Staying home watching the game. Possibly having a little party with some people coming over. So there’s definitely gonna be all kinds of food and stuff.

Looking forward to the game and of course, I want the Giants to win. I always root for our home NY team. GO GIANTS!!!

Report: Joe Francis of “Girls Gone Wild” fame wants to block Madonna’s new song…

Madonna is planning to perform one of her new songs on her upcoming new album at this Sunday’s Superbowl game, a song called, “Girls Gone Wild”, but Joe Francis happens to own the trademark for his business name. He sent her a, “cease and desist letter”, trying to stop her from playing the song.

Oh give me, a fucking break. I think Madonna, legally has the right to use the song, so she’s safe. There are plenty of songwriters and musicians from the past who used the same title.

If he’s going to sue Madonna, then he may as well sue country singer, Travis Tritt.

Report: And Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s opponent for May 5th is…

Miguel Cotto.

Manny Pac rejected Floyd’s challenge again, but my question is, why won’t Manny fight Floyd? Why is boxing keeping these two away from each other? Manny shouldn’t be afraid to fight Floyd and I’m sure Floyd is calling Manny a coward right now.

Miguel Cotto looks like a pretty tough dude. Looking at his record, he only has two losses. Hopefully, Miguel has what it takes to end Floyd’s undefeated streak. I doubt Miguel will beat Floyd ’cause it will probably be another victory for Floyd again. Floyd will figure out a way to beat him.

I won’t be watching this fight ’cause I don’t watch boxing anymore as much as I used to. If Miguel can actually beat Floyd, that would be amazing but I don’t think it’ll happen.

Even though I don’t watch boxing anymore, I still like the sport and still respect it.

In defense of Steven Tyler’s “National Anthem” at the AFC Championship game…

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, is getting a lot of negative critiques toward his performance of the “National Anthem”, at the AFC Championships game with the Patriots vs. the Ravens. Some of you may be wondering what my thoughts are on his performance.

What are my thoughts? I thought it was an average performance. It didn’t suck, wasn’t great, just average. As in, “okay”.

You see here’s the thing, when special guest famous singers sing the National Anthem at a Football game, everyone expects the performance to be an in your face, great performance. Everyone expects the singing to be absolutely perfect.

This is fuckin’ Steven Tyler here. He’s a rock n’ roll singer, you see. You’re not going to hear an opera or classical voice out of this guy if that’s what you’re expecting. He clearly sang the National Anthem in a rock n’ roll kind of way. He always performed that way, whether he’s performing a band or acapella. That’s just the way he sings. You’re not going to hear a Barry Manilow or a Luciano Pavorotti out of this guy.

True, Steven could have sang it a little better in the beginning but I thought he rocked it some toward the middle, he hit the high notes pretty well which is what I bet nobody else could do.

Still, you need to give him credit for singing for real and not lip syncing. He also didn’t forget the lyrics and didn’t mess up any of the words. It was a little better than Christina Aguilera’s performance that’s for sure.

Steven even did a little scream toward the end there, which is pretty ballsy since it was freezing cold out there, probably, you can see the cold breath coming out of his mouth. I mean, the fans seem to have a good time with him ’cause they were singing along with him toward the end.

The performance wasn’t all that bad, in my opinion.

Will Manny Pac accept Floyd’s challenge???

Floyd Mayweather Jr. jail sentence is not ’til June, but he is scheduled for an HBO ppv fight on May 5th, yet, he has no opponent. Today on twitter, Floyd is calling out Manny Pac. This is a fight that everyone wants to see, I want to see it myself, and I will watch it on PPV if the fight happens.

See Floyd’s tweet, here.

Pacman still haven’t responded yet, but hopefully we’ll hear from him soon. Just one thing to keep in mind though guys, that just because Floyd and Pacman are iconic fighters, doesn’t mean it will be a good fight. It could be a boring as hell fight and it could suck. Maybe Floyd will even win again.

Floyd is off to jail for domestic violence, beating up his girlfriend. Floyd needs to be taught a good lesson and maybe Manny will teach him a good one, to never hit a woman ever again. I’d love to see Manny put Floyd’s undefeated streak to an end, but it’s tough to tell if he can do it.

I’m tired of Floyd’s undefeated streak like everyone else. I don’t watch boxing anymore, but the only fight I watched was Floyd’s fight against, Shane Mosley. I hope Floyd vs. Manny Pac happens too. If Manny refuses to fight Floyd, not sure why he would. I’m sure Floyd would call him a coward and all that if he refuses, though.

This fight will definitely help HBO PPV get a lot of buy rates for sure. Boxing needs to get popular again. I think Boxing lost it’s popularity ’cause UFC overshadowed the sport, big time.

Tim Tebow makes me hope the Denver Broncos make the Superbowl this year…

I haven’t been following NFL much this year as much as I did last year, but I ended up watching the last Bronco’s game over the weekend and I was very impressed with it. That was one of the best games I’ve seen in years. Especially the way Tebow ended it, quite amazing. I missed it the last time he did that incredible run, but I caught his second one, the Broncos vs. the Steelers.

People online have been having mixed opinions on what he did. Some liked it and some didn’t. I thought that was pretty incredible running. He has pretty amazing cardio. He must be doing a lot of running at home.

After seeing that one game, makes me want to follow the rest of the Broncos games to see if they make the Superbowl. I’m really rooting for the Broncos now. Incredible stuff. Like Tebow or not, you’re looking at a future Hall of Famer legend here. Tebow’s 80 yard touchdown pass, will be a historic thing, no matter what you think of it.

GO TEBOW!

Report: Madonna confirmed to perform during Superbowl halftime, she will perform with Cirque Du Soleil…

NBC announced their performer for this year’s Halftime Superbowl gig. Last year it was the Black Eyed Peas, this year it’s going to be none other than Madonna, the Queen of Pop. This pop legend and Rock n’ roll Hall of Famer will be performing with the entertainment act, Cirque Du Soleil.

More on the story, here.

I don’t think Madonna has ever performed the Superbowl before, and I guess it’s her time. I’m not much of a Madonna fan, though, I only liked her stuff from the 80’s. This is better than the Black Eyed Peas, I can deal with Madonna than any other pop act. She would be enjoyable and entertaining. I’m sure she’s gonna do a medley mix of all her hits over the years.

RIP: Dan Wheldon 1978 – 2011

Okay, I am not into car racing much. I don’t watch any of it. I’m not into Nascar, Indy racing or any of that stuff. I’m posting this out of respect. Dan Wheldon, is a British race car driver who races for the, Indy 500. Dan Wheldon was a very popular driver who is considered an icon in the sport.

In today’s race in Las Vegas, the final race for the IZOD IndyCar Series, there was a multiple car crash on lap 12. Most drivers survived, but one of them was killed. The one that was killed happened to be, Dan Wheldon. A young driver at the age of 33, who is married and has two sons.

While this is very sad and tragic, he died what he loved doing, racing. This was a horrible accident. RIP Dan.
