Cool Video: Frank Underwood spoof of the White House Correspondents Dinner…

Netflix’s original series, House of Cards, has gotten so popular that Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) is becoming a favorite character for everyone. The show decides to spoof the White House Correspondents dinner by having Frank Underwood join in. “House of Cards” is a political drama that has a bit of dark comedy in it as well. The show can also be humorous.

I laughed pretty hard at this video. Especially the Anthony Weiner comments which really did it to me.

“House of Cards”, really is a great show; wish they would get season 2 green-lighted already. Enjoy the laughs.

Cool Video: Showtime confirms, “Dexter – Season 8”, is it’s last season…

Sad. Two of my favorite shows on TV are ending completely this year. They are: “Dexter”, and “Breaking Bad”. It’s sad that Dexter have to end this soon ’cause I believe there is much more of a story to be told. There is too much more. Just before Season 7, I remember Michael C. Hall almost retired from the show but Showtime talked him out of it by offering him a deal he couldn’t refuse so he can come back for two more seasons. Michael really wants to move on from this show and he’s finally decided has had enough. I can’t blame him though. He’s been working on this show for years, and he is probably all burned out. He wants to move on to other projects.

Here is a clip from the Season 8 premiere. The clip features Dexter having this bizarre conversation with his adoptive-sister, Debra. Debra and her usual potty mouth. She’s been like this throughout most of the show over the years. Her constant “F Bombs” is what makes her character awesome.

It is going to be interesting to see how Dexter is going to end, though. Will Dexter give himself up and turn himself in or will they finally catch him? Maybe Dexter will get killed off before anything even happens. It’ll be interesting, and I’m looking forward to it. Sad this is the last season. One of my favorite shows on TV. Michael C. Hall is a very talented actor; he deserves to move on to better things.

I’m so happy I didn’t pay $70.00 to watch Wrestlemania last night! Glad I skipped it this year!

I didn’t watch last night’s Wrestlemania but I was reading all the results as it was being posted in facebook, twitter, live blog feeds, etc. As expected the card for Wrestlemania this year was going to be very very predictable. You knew who was going to win every match and what was going to happen. I knew that Triple H would win against Brock Lesnar, I knew the Undertaker would win against CM Punk, and I knew John Cena was going to walk out with the belt last night. *Yawn*. I read the full results and sounded like it wasn’t a very good, Wrestlemania. I’m really starting to dislike WWE and the way it’s headed. Wrestling is not wrestling anymore. It changed over the years. That goes for TNA too. The whole wrestling industry is no longer the same anymore in general. Wrestling used to be great in the 80’s and the 90’s, but it’s so different today. Therefor, wrestling is dying.

It’s going to be interesting to see what the buy rates results will be from last night. I bet a lot more people stopped watching Wrestlemania this year too, ’cause of the price raise. Will WWE bring the price back down for next year once they learn that a lot of people stopped watching? Hopefully, but I doubt it!

Anyway, I watched, “Game of Thrones”, and the new “Vikings” episode last night instead, which were way better than, Wrestlemania. “Game of Thrones” and “Vikings” are both getting intense and both episodes were pretty EPIC. I’ve been watching a lot of season 2 of “GOT”. “Game of Thrones” the books & the show are both so good ’cause George’s stories are pretty addicting. George R. R. Martin can tell stories like no one else. “Game of Thrones” whether the books or the TV shows are so amazing. I love them so much.

NBC finally confirms Jimmy Fallon is taking over for Jay Leno, but can you trust them???

I hope Jimmy Fallon is skeptical of taken over for Jay Leno. Is Jay Leno really retiring this time? For good, hopefully? After all that Conan O’ Brien debacle, Jimmy should be a little worried. Jimmy hosts the new show for a few days, and the next thing you know, Leno, comes out of retirement again.

I can’t stand, Jay Leno. His show always sucked. Jay is not a funny guy (Jimmy is way funnier), and Jay is just boring as hell. If Jay is gonna be gone for good, I’d say good riddance. Now I wonder who’s going to take over Jimmy Fallon’s show, and what’s gonna happen with, The Roots?

I like Jimmy Fallon. I try to stay up and watch his show, but I’m asleep by then, these days. So I’m glad Jimmy will be on an hour early pretty soon. Lets hope NBC will stick to their word this time, and not have Jay Leno take over again like with all that Conan drama. Hopefully, it won’t be de ja vu, all over again.

Cool Video: Stephen King’s “Under The Dome” teaser is here!!!

Stephen King’s “Under the Dome” teaser hit the web. It’s not really an official teaser, just a first look kind of thing. With footage from the series, behind the scene stuff, and of course, interviews with, Stephen King himself. “Under The Dome” is one of the best books Stephen King has written in the last 10 years. It’s a long book, over 1,000 pages thick, but I read through the whole thing. I really hope they do a good job with the show ’cause it looks interesting. I’m always skeptical of Stephen King TV shows, mini series or big screen movies ’cause King hasn’t made that many good films over the years. I’ll watch the first episode of “Under the Dome”, to see how it is.

Check out the video, here.

Walking Dead – Season 3 finale *****MAJOR SPOILERS*****

I just want to talk about last night’s “Walking Dead” Season 3 finale, a little bit, but with spoilers, of course.

Last night’s episode, kind of proves my point that people don’t turn into walkers with bite marks, you turn no matter how you die. Rick may have already told everyone that everyone is infected with the virus, but try to remember, that’s all he told them. He never really told people how they turn when they die. When Andrea was found laying on the floor with bite marks all over her neck, covered in blood, they still think bite marks is the way you turn. I’m pretty sure you don’t become infected after a zombie bite ’cause you are already infected. Makes a lot of sense, right? They’ve been giving us small hints about that throughout the first 3 seasons of the show. Look for clues, and you can find ’em. Jim’s death from season 1 is the big one. So was Amy’s death was the biggest clue, as well. Another big hint, is why do you think Hershel is still living after the walker bite on his leg, right?

The Walking Dead creators, and writers wants to trick us that bite marks is the way you turn, when it isn’t. As soon as you die, everybody turns. Rick only gave us a small portion and hint about the virus, he didn’t tell us everything…YET! Look like they’re saving that for season 4.

From the “Walking Dead” wikia:

“Following classic Romero-rules, everyone who dies, for any reason, will re-animate as a zombie. Even someone killed by a gunshot wound with no zombies involved at all will re-animate as a zombie. Zombie bites are not how the “infection” is spread. Instead, zombie bites and saliva cause infections that are 100% lethal. Characters have speculated, but cannot confirm, that whatever causes zombies to re-animate is some sort of virus that everyone in the world is technically infected with but is only triggered by death. It is known, however, that upon death, it can take anytime between three minutes and eight hours for the corpse to reanimate.”

So in reality, Andrea could have lived if Michonne didn’t agree to shoot her. Jim could have lived and survived, if the crew didn’t leave him behind. Amy could have survived the bite, if they didn’t leave her laying there and suffering.

They’re saving Rick’s, “We are all the Walking Dead” speech for later in the seasons, possibly for Season 4. I’m glad they didn’t kill off the Governor yet, so look like we’re getting more Governor for Season 4 as well. The Governor is a cool character, sick and twisted. Maybe they are saving the Michonne rape for Season 4, too. Anything is possible. Last night’s show, was good, though. Look forward to Season 4.

Just a warning before everyone gets all excited for “Game of Thrones – Season 3″…

Yes, so “Game of Thrones – Season 3” premiere is coming this Sunday, Easter night. This Sunday night on Easter will be a great night for TV for sure. Not only the premiere of “Game of Thrones” will be on, we also have “Walking Dead – Season 3 finale”, and Episode 5 of “Vikings”. I love all three of these shows, but I still stand by it that, “Walking Dead – Season 3” was pretty disappointing and went downhill for me. Back to “Game of Thrones – Season 3”, I can understand everyone getting stoked for the  new season but…

… this season of GOT, is not going to be what you expect. I’ve just finished re-reading Book Three, “Storm of Swords” in which, this Season is going to be adapted from. There’s going to be some big and shocking moments this Season. Just to warn you there is not going to be happy endings for some major characters of the series. This Season will for sure, piss everyone off so much, that you will be pulling your hair out of your skulls. Hint: A few of your favorite characters are gonna get killed off, and I’m not saying who. This is gonna be a big season and controversial, for sure. It will be a ratings booster for HBO, and this season will get everyone talking. I’ve read book 3 and I know what happens with the main characters. Don’t worry though, Daeny and Tyrion don’t get killed off, but big things happen to them too. I don’t want to give too much away. Just wanted to warn you all that this is not gonna be an easy season to watch.

I’m looking forward to it, though. It’s gonna be interesting to see how they’re gonna pull this off. This Sunday is gonna be a good night of TV. I’m looking forward to seeing how the Walking Dead will end and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s gonna happen next on “Vikings” after episode 4 last Sunday. If you haven’t started watching, “Vikings” yet, they have all the episodes of Season 1 so far on the History channel website, if you want to catch up. “Vikings” is becoming addicting and starting to get intense.

TV used to be garbage but it’s slowly starting to improve with all the good shows coming out. We still have the final season of “Breaking Bad”, and “Dexter”, coming this Summer, so I’m looking forward to those too.

Report: The Wachowski siblings, to make sci-fi series exclusively for Netflix streamable…

Netflix was extremely successful on their first original TV show, “House of Cards”. You can expect Netflix to make a lot more original shows and movies. They are already on the move for their next original show for the streaming service. The makers of the Matrix trilogy, the Wachowski’s are set to make a sci-fi TV series titled, “Sense 8”. This will be considered their TV debut for these two iconic film makers. Their latest film was, “Cloud Atlas”, which stars Hugh Grant and Tom Hanks.

I’m not trying to sound sexist, but we’re gonna have to get used to not calling them the Wachowski Brothers, because remember, one of them got a sex change operation.

Since “Sense 8” is going to be sci-fi, I expect a lot of over the top special effects, and Matrix like slo-mo effects. I haven’t even seen, “Cloud Atlas” yet, but I do LOVE their film, “V For Vendetta”, though. They’re good film makers and story tellers. I’ll check out, “Sense 8”, to see how it is.

More on the story, here.

Last night’s “Walking Dead”, and my prediction for Season Finale… ******BIG SPOILERS******

So I watched last night’s “Walking Dead”, and once again, it ended with a huge shocker that got everyone talking. I’m going to talk about last night’s episode and my prediction for the Season Finale, for this coming Sunday, but I will do it with a spoiler warning for those who didn’t see it. The big spoilers are under the lines. If you haven’t seen any of it this season, then I suggest you not read any further.

Here we go…..

The Governor have offered, Rick and the gang complete immunity if they would bring in Michonne. Of course, that offer is a lie, and the Governor is not to be trusted. Rick was going to do what the Governor requested, by bringing Michonne to the Governor, but Merle Dixon ends up leaving the prison with Michonne. Why? Simply because Merle didn’t want Rick giving Michonne to the Govnernor. Merle knows the Governor better than anybody, and he knows that the Governor’s immunity offer was a trick. He knows the Governor’s plan was to kill Rick and everybody else. As Merle and Michonne traveled, Merle sends Michonne back to the prison, announcing that he has to do something alone. After Michonne takes off, Merle decides to take matters at his own hands and take down the Governor and his men himself, but of course, The Governor, already killed Merle, before he even got to him.

As Daryl went searching for his brother, the area where Merle and the Governor had a big shootout, there were bodies of the Governor’s men all over the place, so Merle already killed some of the Governor’s men. Daryl finds Merle as a Walker, eating one of Governor’s dead men. Last night’s Walking Dead ended right there. Last night’s episode, never showed how Merle was killed by the Governor. I think there is a good reason for that. They want to keep Merle’s death a mystery until the end of Season 3.

How do I think Season 3 is going to end?

Well, judging by the books, there is another major shocker coming, that hasn’t happened in the show, yet and that’s how I believe the Season 3 finale will end. In the books, Rick had a major announcement that he will announce to his friends. He kept a secret inside of him that he didn’t want to reveal until later. What is this big secret that he kept? Well, Rick revealed that everybody is “The Walking Dead”. Yes, that means people who are still alive and walking. It doesn’t matter how you die, everyone will get turned into a walker. It’s not by another walker bite, is what makes you turn. Remember back in Season 1 at the CDC building, where Dr. Jenner whispers in Rick’s ear, and nobody knows what is said? That was the secret that Jenner told him. Rick held that into him after all this time, and I think he will finally tell his friends that in the Season Finale.

The show did hint you throughout the first two seasons of Rick’s secret. In Season 2, Glen and Daryl finding a dead walker with no bite marks, is the big clue. Another one, Rick shooting Shane and Shane turns. Merle’s death in Season 3 will finally lead Rick to revealing the secret.

As far as Season 3 goes, it’s okay. Slightly disappointing. I was hoping they would use Michonne getting chained up by the Governor, instead of Andrea like it was in the books, but I understand why the TV show couldn’t use Michonne getting chained up and raped by the Governor, ’cause it would be too controversial and dark for TV. I kind of figure they weren’t going to use Michonne for the rape scenes, for that reason. If they used Michonne instead of Andrea, the film makers of “The Walking Dead” would be accused of being racists for sure, and we don’t want that do we? It could get the show cancelled.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Season 3 is going to end this coming Sunday, and I’m pretty sure, my prediction is going to be right. Just wait.

What I miss about the Star Trek franchise…

I do like what JJ Abrams is doing to the “Star Trek” reboot, and I know a lot of new fans like what he has done, but a lot of new Star Trek fans don’t understand what the franchise is really about. Will the new Star Trek fans who support JJ’s work, go back to the older Star Trek series like the original Trek, TNG, and all the others? No probably not. The newer fans will probably stick with JJ’s Trek. They won’t understand the older series. Which is sad.

Remember, Kirk and Picard’s opening voice over intro when the shows start, “To seek out new lives and new civilizations”, that’s what Star Trek is about. That’s what JJ Abrams seems to be forgetting with the new movies. Star Trek is about politics, and exploration in space. JJ’s movies has a little bit of that, but JJ turned his Star Trek movies into epic fantasy action/adventures. I miss the actual storytelling with the Star Trek, franchise. Where’s the science fiction? What made the earlier Star Trek series worked ’cause they were true science fiction stories. JJ’s “Star Trek”, isn’t true science fiction. They’re action movies, in my opinion. Star Trek stories also had a mix of drama and humor. JJ’s movies has some of that, but not enough.

Star Trek was never about violent action scenes and big special effects. They were about telling science fiction stories. Telling stories similar to what Isaac Asimov and Ray Bradbury has done. That’s why I love Star Trek. I just loved the storytelling, the science fiction part of things. That’s why a lot of people believe that Star Trek is boring because the pacing of the movies and the earlier TV shows were pretty slow for them, yet, the non-Trekkie’s find Star Wars better. Now that JJ has turned Star Trek into Star Wars, people now had a change of heart with Star Trek. How ironic is that, right?

I like the earlier Star Trek series, the original Trek, TNG, Voyager, Deep Space Nine, and Enterprise. I loved all of the movies except for “Star Trek: Insurrection”, and “The Final Frontier”, which were pretty bad films. With that being said, I’m looking forward to “Star Trek: Into Darkness”, the new Trek movie by JJ Abrams, but I’m still going to miss the old school way of Star Trek. I never really wanted the re-boot to happen, honestly. I was hoping the TNG cast would get one more film or the “Voyager” cast would get their own movie ’cause that would be cool.

Also, when is there going to be a new Star Trek television series? That’s what all the Trekkie’s wanna know too. There haven’t been a new Trek series in a while. I hope they come out with something new myself, but I hope they don’t re-boot any of the older series and they should come up with something new.

Speaking of Star Trek: TNG, I’ve been watching it a lot on Netflix. Just at the end of “Season 3”. I still remember all of these episodes like yesterday, ’cause I used to watch “The Next Generation”, obsessively when it used to be on TV back in the day. “The Next Generation” is a great show, and am glad to be re-watching it again. Thanks to Netflix for uploading all the Trek series made to stream. Yes, I’m a die-hard Trekkie, and very proud of it. Again, I do like JJ’s take on Star Trek, I just miss their old way of telling Star Trek stories, and that’s the point I’m trying to make in this post.
