Cool Video: Stephen King’s “Under The Dome” teaser is here!!!

Stephen King’s “Under the Dome” teaser hit the web. It’s not really an official teaser, just a first look kind of thing. With footage from the series, behind the scene stuff, and of course, interviews with, Stephen King himself. “Under The Dome” is one of the best books Stephen King has written in the last 10 years. It’s a long book, over 1,000 pages thick, but I read through the whole thing. I really hope they do a good job with the show ’cause it looks interesting. I’m always skeptical of Stephen King TV shows, mini series or big screen movies ’cause King hasn’t made that many good films over the years. I’ll watch the first episode of “Under the Dome”, to see how it is.

Check out the video, here.

Walking Dead – Season 3 finale *****MAJOR SPOILERS*****

I just want to talk about last night’s “Walking Dead” Season 3 finale, a little bit, but with spoilers, of course.

Last night’s episode, kind of proves my point that people don’t turn into walkers with bite marks, you turn no matter how you die. Rick may have already told everyone that everyone is infected with the virus, but try to remember, that’s all he told them. He never really told people how they turn when they die. When Andrea was found laying on the floor with bite marks all over her neck, covered in blood, they still think bite marks is the way you turn. I’m pretty sure you don’t become infected after a zombie bite ’cause you are already infected. Makes a lot of sense, right? They’ve been giving us small hints about that throughout the first 3 seasons of the show. Look for clues, and you can find ’em. Jim’s death from season 1 is the big one. So was Amy’s death was the biggest clue, as well. Another big hint, is why do you think Hershel is still living after the walker bite on his leg, right?

The Walking Dead creators, and writers wants to trick us that bite marks is the way you turn, when it isn’t. As soon as you die, everybody turns. Rick only gave us a small portion and hint about the virus, he didn’t tell us everything…YET! Look like they’re saving that for season 4.

From the “Walking Dead” wikia:

“Following classic Romero-rules, everyone who dies, for any reason, will re-animate as a zombie. Even someone killed by a gunshot wound with no zombies involved at all will re-animate as a zombie. Zombie bites are not how the “infection” is spread. Instead, zombie bites and saliva cause infections that are 100% lethal. Characters have speculated, but cannot confirm, that whatever causes zombies to re-animate is some sort of virus that everyone in the world is technically infected with but is only triggered by death. It is known, however, that upon death, it can take anytime between three minutes and eight hours for the corpse to reanimate.”

So in reality, Andrea could have lived if Michonne didn’t agree to shoot her. Jim could have lived and survived, if the crew didn’t leave him behind. Amy could have survived the bite, if they didn’t leave her laying there and suffering.

They’re saving Rick’s, “We are all the Walking Dead” speech for later in the seasons, possibly for Season 4. I’m glad they didn’t kill off the Governor yet, so look like we’re getting more Governor for Season 4 as well. The Governor is a cool character, sick and twisted. Maybe they are saving the Michonne rape for Season 4, too. Anything is possible. Last night’s show, was good, though. Look forward to Season 4.

Game Review: “Tomb Raider” (2013)

So today, I just finished the new, “Tomb Raider” game for the PS3. A game made by the company of , Crystal Dynamix. The new game is a re-boot, starting the series over again. It focuses on the origins of Lara Croft. A new era of the franchise.

The story is about Lara,  who planned to travel to an Island near Japan called, Yamatai, in search of lost relics and to investigate a lost kingdom. To get there, she travels aboard on a huge   salvage vessel called, The Endurance, but the ship was destroyed before she even got to the island. Of course, Lara survives and so does several others who survived from the Endurance destruction. While on the search for the lost kingdom on Yamatai, Lara discovers that there is a team of evil cult members who try to kill her. So she uses combat skills and various weapons to survive. Lara’s best friend, Sam, was kidnapped by the cult leader, Matthias, so she must rescue her friend so she and her Endurance survivors can get off the Island alive.

Okay, I was pretty impressed with the game. Story line is nice. I like how the game takes on a new and different direction for Lara Croft. The graphics are pretty insane for the new game, so that’s a huge plus. As far as the game play goes, there’s a lot more action and violence, more than the puzzle solving and exploration. What made the Tomb Raider games important, is because they were mostly known for solving puzzles and exploring archaeological  landscapes, and different locations. I have noticed there was a lot less than that in this new game. Plus, in the older games, you had to figure out Lara’s acrobatic moves, and there is a lot less of that as well. This one was more of a survival, action/adventure, and third person shooter (much like Uncharted, Dead Space, etc). The new game franchise wants to give it a current feeling with the other game franchises. I understand the makers of the game, wanted the Tomb Raider franchise to have more violence and action, but the whole point of Tomb Raider is “archaeology”.

My other gripe about the game is how Lara just wears a tank top throughout most of it. They had her wearing the tank top even in the freezing cold weather and areas where there’s a lot of  lava, and fire. How much punishment can the girl handle? Ah well, it’s just a freakin’ game, right?

Even though, the new Tomb Raider game, had a few minor disappointments, I was pretty impressed with the game. It was phenomenal, and they did a great job for the most part. I just wish there would be more puzzle solving, exploration, and acrobatic moves. Maybe, there will be more of that in the sequel, hopefully? This was just an introduction. So you don’t need to play the earlier Tomb Raider games if you’re just getting into them ’cause this would be a good one to start off with.

I was kind of hoping they would continue the story after “Tomb Raider: Underworld” the last T.R. game, ’cause that game was beautiful. That game was a true Tomb Raider but of course, Crystal Dynamix had to re-boot the series. I’m good with the new game, though. “Tomb Raider” (2013) was great. Gameplay was a blast. It was a pretty long game too. It was also pretty challenging actually. It was a real bitch trying to get past these gun battles. I didn’t use guns that much for weapons. Most of it was bow and arrow. That’s what made the new game fun, a lot of archery. Lara never had a bow and arrow before and it’s a new thing for the Tomb Raider franchise. Of course, they had to make her hot looking with nice boobs and all.

I was most impressed with the game’s sound. Turn your surround sound on while playing this game, and it’ll be better than watching a movie in the theater. Expect a lot of loud explosions, that you will feel the floor vibrate under your feet.

It was a pretty sick game, and I’m already looking forward to the sequel. Hopefully, they fix those minor things. More puzzle solving, exploration, and acrobatics. I only completed 81% of the game ’cause I couldn’t find all the artifacts and diaries. I found most of them, though. I could go back and find the rest of them if I wanted, but they just help unlock more rewards and extras for the game, so that’s not important. It is recommended for all. Even for longtime Tomb Raider fans and newbies.

Happy Easter…

Hope you all will have a great Easter today.

Later tonight, there is going to be three TV shows on. “Game of Thrones – Season 3” premiere, “Walking Dead – Season 3” finale, and “Vikings” episode 5. Gonna try to stay up late and watch all 3 of them.

I know I’ve been ignoring, the “Film of the Day” topics, but I’ll get back into doing them first thing tomorrow.

There’s a couple of topics I need to get off my chest today. I’ll get to ’em later this afternoon.

Gay marriage discussion rant…

I’ll say it once more, that it really is difficult having differences of opinion on gay marriage. Since the topic of homosexuals, gay rights, and marriage equality is so huge in the media, and gays seems to be taking over the world. It’s hard for anyone to have a difference of opinion these days. I understand that people want to support gay people even if they are straight as a way to have heart  and to feel all special, and all that stuff, blah blah blah. All that is fine and good. I’ve repeatedly stated, that I totally respect gay people all the way myself, but that doesn’t mean, I have to agree with gay marriage. Gay people seem to be a huge thing in the news, because why? The gay community is growing. It’s getting bigger. I don’t understand why they have to campaign for gay rights, when quite honestly, they have already have them. They can feel free to be open about it, and love who ever they want to, sure, but I’ll always believe in traditional marriage. It’s just my opinion. I have that right to believe in that.

Sure enough, people are going to be hurt and offended. If they disagree with it, they will reply and defend gay rights. It’s like, those who believe in traditional marriage are not allowed to believe in it anymore. The moment someone says a marriage  should be between a man and a woman, the marriage equality supporters, will call them an evil homophobe and all that stuff. That’s how it goes these days, ya know?

Having a disagreement on gay marriage doesn’t make us evil, (I’m referring to the traditional supporters). The real evil are the ones who lash out at others for having a disagreement on gay marriage. The more you reply back and debate about it, the more it shows how crazy people can be. Everybody should have a right to believe in traditional marriage. I don’t see what’s so wrong about it. I have no problem with bills like DOMA, Prop 8, and others ’cause they are trying to save traditional marriage. I have no problem people starting campaigns and protests against gay marriage ’cause they are trying to save traditional marriage. I have no problem with professional politicians being against gay marriage in the USA, ’cause they believe in traditional marriage. If they can believe in traditional marriage, we can too.

It’s ridiculous how this is ’cause no matter what the traditional supporters say or believe, it seems that the marriage equality backers always win. I’m sick of it. When will the traditional supporters are gonna start to act tough, fight back, so we can save traditional marriage? The traditional marriage supporters are getting weaker, and the gay rights supporters are getting stronger, in this day and age.

If the equality supporters get to fight for what we believe in, we get to do it too. I warn ya. If marriage equality is victorious in Washington D.C., there’s going to be an even bigger fight by the traditional supporters. There’s going to be all kinds of lawsuits, repeals, protests, etc. You get the deal. Making gay marriage legal in the US is a very risky thing. You have to learn that it’s not for everyone.

RIP: Reid Flair 1988 – 2013…

This is very sad news, that I feel that it’s worth posting the obit here. Reid Flair, who is a young professional wrestler, also known as the son of wrestling legend, Ric Flair (pictured above), has passed away. Reid Flair never wrestled in the WWE, but he was an independent wrestler, who worked for different indie wrestling companies, and All Pro Wrestling Japan. While he never made the WWE, he did wrestle two matches in WCW and sat at ringside for his father’s match at Wrestlemania 24. Reid Flair was found dead at a residence in Charlotte, North Carolina, when he just arrived home from Japan. He was 25 years old.

New “Evil Dead” movie, will I see it next weekend? Yes, probably…

The reason I haven’t reviewed any new movies out in theater in a long while is because the Wilton Mall in Saratoga Springs, a mall that is near me, has no movie theater anymore. The theater closed down. So I haven’t been seeing that many flicks in a long while. I am planning to see the new Evil Dead movie next weekend, though, for sure. Gonna go with other people at a different mall, I think.

Could the new “Evil Dead” movie be just as good as the originals or could it be better? I know everyone wants Bruce Campbell to be a part of this movie, but it makes kind of sense for him to move on. The man is aging, he isn’t getting any older, and he just wants to pass the torch to younger actors. Remember now, Bruce was pretty young when he did the originals. I believe   Bruce was around 20 years of age when he filmed the first and second Evil Dead, flicks. Even though Bruce isn’t starring in the film, I’m sure we’ll get plenty of Ash references, though! We’ll  still get the old school Evil Dead B-Movie style but with a current feeling of today’s technology. The film was made low budget, just like the earlier films.

Everyone mistakenly believes this new film is a re-boot/remake, but it isn’t. It’s a continuation. It’s actually a sequel of the first film, ’cause the new film takes place 30 years after the first one. Maybe the new film can work without Bruce Campbell. If you knew what happened at the end of the first Evil Dead movie, it wouldn’t make sense to bring Ash back. I don’t mind a new Evil Dead film without Ash, as long as the original team are still behind it: Sam, Rob, and Bruce. I’m sure the new film will be scary and gory as hell, but will this film top the original? I’ll have to see for myself first.

I am a huge  fan of the original trilogy, though. Can’t wait to see the new film, though. I’m sure they will do it justice.

Just a warning before everyone gets all excited for “Game of Thrones – Season 3″…

Yes, so “Game of Thrones – Season 3” premiere is coming this Sunday, Easter night. This Sunday night on Easter will be a great night for TV for sure. Not only the premiere of “Game of Thrones” will be on, we also have “Walking Dead – Season 3 finale”, and Episode 5 of “Vikings”. I love all three of these shows, but I still stand by it that, “Walking Dead – Season 3” was pretty disappointing and went downhill for me. Back to “Game of Thrones – Season 3”, I can understand everyone getting stoked for the  new season but…

… this season of GOT, is not going to be what you expect. I’ve just finished re-reading Book Three, “Storm of Swords” in which, this Season is going to be adapted from. There’s going to be some big and shocking moments this Season. Just to warn you there is not going to be happy endings for some major characters of the series. This Season will for sure, piss everyone off so much, that you will be pulling your hair out of your skulls. Hint: A few of your favorite characters are gonna get killed off, and I’m not saying who. This is gonna be a big season and controversial, for sure. It will be a ratings booster for HBO, and this season will get everyone talking. I’ve read book 3 and I know what happens with the main characters. Don’t worry though, Daeny and Tyrion don’t get killed off, but big things happen to them too. I don’t want to give too much away. Just wanted to warn you all that this is not gonna be an easy season to watch.

I’m looking forward to it, though. It’s gonna be interesting to see how they’re gonna pull this off. This Sunday is gonna be a good night of TV. I’m looking forward to seeing how the Walking Dead will end and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s gonna happen next on “Vikings” after episode 4 last Sunday. If you haven’t started watching, “Vikings” yet, they have all the episodes of Season 1 so far on the History channel website, if you want to catch up. “Vikings” is becoming addicting and starting to get intense.

TV used to be garbage but it’s slowly starting to improve with all the good shows coming out. We still have the final season of “Breaking Bad”, and “Dexter”, coming this Summer, so I’m looking forward to those too.

Report: Christopher Nolan interested in Matthew McConaughey for, “Interstellar”???

Christopher Nolan, seems to be already on the move to his next movie, “Interstellar”, a sci-fi film, and look like he wants Matthew McConaughey to play the leading role. No deal yet, Nolan just asked him. What is it with Nolan’s obsession with big name actors in his films? Still no plot details for “Interstellar”, yet, but you probably won’t be hearing of a plot synopsis for a while ’cause like always Nolan is also obsessed with secrecy. He likes to keep everything quiet until the actual movie comes out. Matthew is a talented actor, though, he’s one of the best in the industry. I like Matt’s southern accent. His speaking voice is cool.

Deadline reports.

Happy 27th Birthday, Lady Gaga!

A lot of people don’t know that I’m a huge fan of Lady Gaga, ’cause I don’t talk about her too much. Why? It isn’t because I’m afraid to say that I like her, it’s because she gets so much hate. If I talk about her publicly, people will reply back with hateful and negative comments about Lady Gaga. I look at all that, and I’m like, why? Why hate, Lady Gaga? I’ve been observing her career over the years, and I’ve never found anything wrong with her at all. She seems like a very friendly, down to Earth, and a very positive lady to me.

Yes, she dresses up in weird clothing and fashion, but so what? It’s her way of expressing herself. She’s an artist. Just like David Bowie and Elton John were back in the earlier days. Lady Gaga is an inspirational lady. Plus, her music is good. I have her first three albums and I look forward to her next one. She wants to help people in a positive way.

She’s having a lot of health problems right now, but I just wish her well.

I posted about her in facebook today, and there was a few who were shocked that I liked her. I may listen to strictly rock n’ roll and metal music, but honestly, I listen to a little bit everything else. Yes, I listen to blues, jazz, classical, folk music, bluegrass, country, dance, pop, techno, punk, and even rap/hip hop. I listen to ALL genres of music, but the genres I listen to the most are obviously rock and metal.

I may not like today’s music, but there are a few of today’s artists that I like. Gaga, Katy Perry, Adele, and Mumford & Sons are just a few that I love. Gaga’s the real deal, better than most music that’s out today.
