“Oldboy”… both the American and Korean versions…

Over the weekend, I just watched, “Oldboy” the films based on the Japanese manga which tells the story about a man who gets held captive for 15 – 20 years and when he escapes, he tries to find the people responsible for his kidnapping and tries to get revenge. I watched the Korean version first and then the American version which was directed by Spike Lee.

Both version were honestly pretty good. The story for both of them were pretty intense. Both versions were pretty similar but a little different. While the American version was pretty good, I like the Korean version way more. The Korean version was more powerful and deep. The violence in the Korean version was more graphic than the American version plus the Korean version has more nudity. Wanna see naked Korean women??? That’ll be the version to see.

I’m glad I finally got around to checking the Oldboy films out. I’m not a big Spike Lee fan but I wanted to see his version of “Oldboy” so I can see the difference with the Korean version. Spike Lee did an okay job with his version, though, just could have been better. I didn’t think Josh Brolin fit as the main character, although he is a great actor.

This makes me wanna read the manga series of “Oldboy”. Next time I go to Barnes and Noble, I’ll see if they have them ’cause they do have a manga section. I don’t read manga too much.

Both the American version and Korean version are streamable for Netflix if you subscribe to it. I’d suggest you check out the Korean version, though. That’s the one I’d recommend. If you’re looking for something to watch on Netflix, here you go.

Weird Al brings back 80’s stop motion animation with “Lame Claim To Fame”…

So far, out of Al Yankovic’s 8 videos, I think this is his best one. Weird Al Yankovic brings back 80’s styled stop motion animation that is done pretty much in the style of Peter Gabriel videos. The new song, “Lame Claim To Fame” is great and the video is great.

What I loved the most of this video is that he gave Dr. Demento a shoutout. If you don’t know who Dr. Demento is, he is a legendary radio DJ who plays comedy music and novelty songs. Dr. Demento was responsible for launching Al Yankovic’s music career. If there was no Dr. Demento, there would have been no Al Yankovic. Dr. Demento was the one who discovered Weird Al and got him a record contract.

This is video no. 7. Final video will be tomorrow. I hope Al’s final video will be the polka medley on the album.

Your political facebook meme for the day…

10425378_779931102067021_4517614498624711550_n

This just came up in my newsfeed this morning and it’s worth passing around. I agree with what Thomas Sowell said here.

Like I said repeatedly, I find it pretty insane that too many people on the left support Hillary when there is no reason at all to be supporting her. I don’t see what she have done in the past that was so great. What is the reason people are so obsessed with wanting her president? I am almost positive they wouldn’t be able to think of an answer.

If Hillary runs for president in 2016, people are probably gonna vote for her anyway even if her policies and political issues are gonna be really bad. They’ll still vote for her even if she’s gonna lie her head off during the Presidential debates. Even though I don’t like Hillary, her presidential debates will be entertaining as hell, though, I’m sure.

That’s the problem with America. They’ll vote for our first woman president and our first black president no matter how bad his/her policies and political issues are.

I’m positive that there will be other women running for president in 2016 besides Hillary. Sarah Palin, Elizabeth Warren, Michelle Bachman, and I’m sure we’ll get new women we’ve never heard before running for President. 2016 will be the year for women in the presidential race for sure.

No matter how many women will decide to run for President, America will have their eyes set on Hillary no matter how good the policies and issues  of other women candidates will be.

I’m honestly okay with our first woman president, just NOT Hillary please. If a different liberal woman gets elected, I’m fine with that too just as long as Hillary don’t get elected. Anybody but Hillary.

She doesn’t deserve the oval office. We can’t elect a murderer.

I’m not sure who I’ll vote for yet. Too early to say. If Rand Paul runs for president, then him maybe. If Sarah Palin runs, then I’ll think about her too. One thing for sure, though, I won’t be voting for Hillary.

I can’t wait for the 2016 elections. If Hillary does decide to run, just you wait. I’m gonna shove Benghazi in everyone’s faces when it comes election time. Liberals need to learn who they are about to vote for. 🙂

Why unsigned bands and artists don’t really need to release albums anymore…

There are tons of local and unsigned bands and artists spending lots of money on studio time and CD manufacturing but they don’t really need to do all that anymore. To save a lot of money on music recording and releasing your music should be pretty easy. Since technology in music recording is a big deal these days, musicians don’t really need to rely on local studios anymore. All they really need is a good home recording rig: Pro Tools, Cubase, Cakewalk, Garageband, etc. A good enough microphone and if you want to, you can turn your home into your own studio, a home studio. You can be your own producer and recording engineer. They don’t need to spend 100’s or thousands of dollars on studio time.

In this day and age of technology and digital music… you don’t really need to release albums anymore. Bands and artists are always releasing like 12 – 15 songs an album a year but they don’t need to do that anymore. The internet is a powerful tool to get your music out there. They don’t realize it. The internet can get your music out there a lot faster than release an album a year. Releasing an album a year and forcing people to pay $10 for your album is just a lot slower to get your music out there. You don’t need to make albums. You don’t need to make people pay for it. Share your music and get it out there asap. The internet is a tool to make your music go viral a lot quicker.

This is probably why I never really cared to do “album” releases ’cause I find it a bit silly. When you’re unsigned and a local musician, you have the complete freedom to release music how ever you want to. So I think I’m gonna scratch the internet album idea and just release everything. I’ll release my songs on youtube first and then I’ll find a place for you to download my songs for your Ipods and stuff, for free of course.

Bands will never take this idea into consideration because they get so obsessed with making money off of music. That’s why they do what they do. That’s what a lot of them do this for is make music for the money. I never cared about money when making music ’cause I never did music for that. I’m not worried about money at all. I do it for the love of music. I love putting my music out there. Sharing it and people giving it feedback, good or bad.

There are unsigned bands and artists who believe in sharing their music exclusively for the internet only and for free but there’s not enough of ’em. Most everyone is into it for the money.

Unsigned bands don’t need to release albums. They just do it for “marketing” and to make themselves feel like a rock star, that’s why they do it. Period. Just my opinion.

I don’t think I’ll keep people waiting for my new upcoming songs. I’ll upload them as soon as possible. Probably next week, I’ll upload the rest of the 6 songs that I have and I’ll keep writing new ones.

Technology is a wonderful thing in this day and age. I don’t know why bands still obsess with studios and physical CD releases. They don’t know what they’re missing with the power of the internet. Be honest, nobody’s buying physical CD’s anymore to begin with and I’m almost positive not many people bought their albums on physical CD… these bands will never admit it.

MH17 is just Obama’s opportunity to go after Vladimir Putin…

Predictably, Obama is already pointing fingers and playing the blame game about the MH17 take down. Like I said before, the last thing you wanna do is trust Obama on this. After the Bergdahl trade-in, the illegal immigration stuff and the capture of Khatallah for the Benghazi attack… you shouldn’t trust Obama on the MH17 take down. It’s already looking like the U.S. is trying to make Russia look bad over this. Everyone knows that Obama never liked Putin too much and this is just Obama’s opportunity to go after him. Since Obama and Putin never really get along too well… it was only a matter of time that Obama is gonna make Putin look bad in some way. I think the White House have framed Russia.

Even though I don’t like Vladimir Putin either, I think he’s gonna retaliate in some way and it won’t be good.

Like I said, the last thing you wanna do is trust Obama. All he does is lie, every word that comes out of his mouth and he’s probably lying about Russia being responsible too. On top of that, Obama shouldn’t be pointing fingers already until he knows something and have hard enough evidence to prove that Russia was behind it.

This is just Obama trying to be tough guy over President Putin.

You may think I’m crazy but I mean well and sticking with it.

We could be going to war against Russia over this.

Metallica plays “St. Anger” live in concert for the first time in a long time…

As part of their Metallica by request thing, fans in Prague have requested the song, “St. Anger”, to be added to their set list by popular vote. Everyone knows that the critical reception for Metallica’s album, “St. Anger” wasn’t well received by fans. It was the band’s most hated album but apparently, Prague happens to love the album. Since not many people liked the album too much, Metallica stayed away from playing songs from that album at their concerts over the years. The band played songs from the album at their concerts when the album first came out, of course but that’s about it. Metallica by request is an opportunity for fans to choose obscure Metallica songs in their sets. “St. Anger” is one of those obscure songs.

Even if “St. Anger” had mostly negative reviews, I thought it was a great album. It was pretty tight and really heavy. It had James’s best rhythm playing in many years. I never saw what was wrong with the album. The band just wanted to do something different since they’ve been doing the speed metal thing for years.

Metallica haven’t played any “St. Anger” stuff on their shows in a long time but they still seem to do a good job. The audience seem to like it and the band themselves even seem to be enjoying playing “St. Anger” again.

In the opening of this video, I love Kirk’s response. He was pissed that “Ride The Lightning” didn’t make the set list but of course, he’s just having fun and joking around.

This was a great performance. I watched this whole video. Metallica kills it like they always do. They should keep playing songs off of “St. Anger”. It’s not a bad album as many made it out to be.

As predicted the Benghazi attacks will make Hillary even more rich and famous…

There is a new show coming out for CBS titled, “Madam Secretary” which is supposed to be a Hillary Clinton biopic made for the small screen. Actress Tea Leoni will be playing Hillary. Actor Morgan Freeman doesn’t have a role for the show yet but he is one of the producers.

As I’ve said repeatedly before her Benghazi attack will make her even more rich and famous than ever before. Yeah sure, she already had some fame before the Benghazi attack but that’s because she got it because she was first lady. Famous for being famous.

Then the Benghazi attack happened in Sept. of 2012 in which she was heavily involved in the attack and she was a big part of the cover up. The left doesn’t want to make her look guilty so they defend her with whatever they got. The Benghazi attack will lead into releasing more Hillary Clinton books, more documentaries, TV shows, movies, etc. She’ll make herself a billionaire out of the Benghazi attack. The Benghazi attack may as well make her president too.

That’s all she’s known for, guys. She will always be known as the Benghazi attacker for the rest of her life. That’s not a good way to be known for. If she wants to be big and famous off of Benghazi, that’s her prerogative.

If that’s how America is gonna work… kill some Americans overseas and then become an icon for it… Wow, then we live in one messed up country. I’m beginning to think this country supports murder at least it’s starting to look that way.

It wouldn’t surprise me that “Madame Secretary” will be a high rated show and become successful.

One thing for sure, I will never watch it. I refuse to support anything that is about Hillary Clinton. She doesn’t deserve all of this fame and the “icon” status. She has all of these fans and supporters and they don’t realize who they are supporting. They don’t know what she really is yet. It’s mostly women who support Hillary Clinton. There are some men on the left who support her too but it’s mostly women.

Why do they support this evil woman? I bet you guys can’t really think of an answer ’cause there is no reason to support her. The only reason people support her is because she’s a woman and they are hoping she would be our first woman president. Period.

I really hope Benghazi ruins her chances so hopefully they do catch her before 2016. Hillary should really give herself up and turn herself in. Give us a confession ’cause she doesn’t know what kind of punishment she has coming for her. She could be looking at life in prison with possible death penalty. They really need to put her in front of Trey Gowdy. Trey will force a confession out of her with no problem… with Hillary it should be easy.

Your meme for the day…

10538656_781368101901896_4667717073977180414_n

I agree with this one.

There are plenty of things that people don’t think I can do. Like getting women in my life is one of the big one. People didn’t think I could do the bodybuilding thing… well I did it and am doing it. There are many other things that people don’t think I can do like get my license and car. Get a good paying job and all of that stuff.

There are many that badly judge me like if I’m a sort of loser.

What makes other people think it’s okay to judge me like that? I’m almost 100% positive that their life isn’t all the way perfect even though they claim to be. They just try to be better than you and try to make you feel bad. They try to make you jealous.

Whatever your goals and dreams are… don’t let people doubt you. Whether you want to be more successful with the opposite sex. Whether you want to be more successful in music. Whether you want to be successful in life and career. Whatever it is you want to do.

Fuck everybody and do it. If they talk down on you and make claims that you can’t achieve your goals and dreams, fuck ’em. Do it and become successful. Make them look ridiculous is how you want to do it. When you become successful at whatever you want to do, you’ll be the one to make them jealous and envious of you instead.

People don’t think I can hook up with a great looking woman but watch me do it. I’ll try to hook myself up with a nice one before the year is over with. Shouldn’t be that hard to do.

Tim McGraw getting aggressive with fans at concerts is nothing new… this guy is a douchebag…

This news is all over the internet. Tim McGraw, a country star who slapped a woman in the crowd while performing on stage. These things are nothing new with Tim McGraw. He’s been well known to fighting with fans for years. Youtube it. There are all kinds of videos of Tim McGraw fighting with fans at his concerts.

Of course, McGraw’s lawyer claimed that the treason he slapped the woman ’cause she grabbed his leg and wouldn’t let go ’cause he didn’t want his pants to rip apart, lol, seriously??? I watched the TMZ video and it’s hard to see whether the woman touched him or not so there’s really no proof on whether she did or not.

Tim McGraw is a douchebag. There’s a guy who don’t treat his fans well at all. He jerks himself off too much and he thinks he’s that important.

A lot of ladies have the hots for him and this is how he treats them? Shows he’s into music for the money and doesn’t care about the fans. Hitting a woman is never cool. He shouldn’t even have a career in music to begin with ’cause his music is garbage.

Twin Peaks reunion just happened last night in Los Angeles…

To celebrate the Blu Ray release of “Twin Peaks – The Entire Mystery”, David Lynch himself and the cast of “Twin Peaks” did a huge event in Los Angeles last night to have a premiere to show deleted scenes from the show and the feature film, “Fire Walk With Me”. Guess who showed up? Most everyone from the TV show showed up. Take a look through these photos in the links below and you’ll see a lot of familiar faces from the show… all of these guys showed up: Dr. Jacoby, Leland Palmer, James, Albert, the Log Lady, Lucy, Josie Packard, Shelley, etc.

There are people from the cast missing who didn’t show up though… there’s no Kyle Maclachlan who played Dale Cooper and no Dana Ashbrook who played Bobby… look like they couldn’t make it.

I’m thinking about buying the Twin Peaks Blu Ray set. Probably will.

Good to see the cast again. If David Lynch was successful at reuniting the cast… then he could reunite them for a continuation of the series of some sort. Maybe a third season or another big screen film with the same cast??? Is that where this is all headed to? Will there be a sequel of this show?
