Confirmed: Ryan Reynolds is the Green Lantern…

Warner Brothers and DC Comics has finally found their Green Lantern for the upcoming superhero movie. Ryan Reynolds was the former star of the TV show, “Two Guys and a Girl”. He has also starred in many comedy films over the years. Ryan Reyolds, looks like he is a bodybuilder as well because he is a big and tough looking dude if you search for his pics in google.

The Green Lantern character is a muscular guy and they needed to find a fit actor to fit the superhero.

The film will be directed by Martin Campbell who did the 007 film, “Casino Royale”.

Very cool. Good choice for the Green Lantern. Most superhero movies aren’t that great, I only like a few of them here and there, lets hope they’ll make the “Green Lantern”, a good one.

BREAKING NEWS: Warner Bros. and DC Comics win legal battle over “Superman: Returns”…sequel is now definitely possible…

Warner Bros. and DC Comics has won the legal battle over licensing fees accused by the heirs of Jerome Seigel, “Superman’s” author and creator. It has something to do with money over the TV show “Smallville”. It was also discovered that Warner Bros. owns the rights to the Superman character which DC Comics transfered ownership to.

However, the Seigels vow to fight for full ownership of the Superman character, they aren’t backing down… and they warn they will get full ownership in 2013. Attorney Marc Toberoff said, if Warner Bros. doesn’t start production on the next Superman sequel by 2011, the Seigels will be able to sue to recover their damages.

Variety Reports:

Warner Bros. will probably continue to defend themselves so they won’t get sued by the Seigels. You can’t take down the movie companies because they are powerful people in the movie industry. I agree that Jerome Siegel deserves full ownership of the Superman character since he created it, but the man is dead…he would want Hollywood to make movies on Superman. I think the Seigels are jealous that the Superman movies make more money than them and that’s what this is all about. Money, money, money.

If a “Superman: Returns” sequel gets greenlighted soon, lets hope Bryan Singer, and Brandon Routh will return.

I thought “Superman: Returns” was a great film. I hope Bryan will come back. Congrats to Warner Bros./DC for winning the battle, for now…

Report: Remo Williams is returning to the big screen, but will be based on novel, “The Destroyer”…

Columbia Pictures and Sony will be bringing the Remo Williams character back to the big screen. The Remo Williams character first came to us in Hollywood back in 1985, with “Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins” that originally starred, Fred Ward as the leading character. This new Remo Williams movie will be adapted from the first novel, “The Destroyer”, it is NOT a remake of the Fred Ward film.

More on it here:

Fred Ward is too old to reprise his role, but they’ll probably give him a cameo role in the new movie.

I really liked, “Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins”, used to watch it all the time when I was a kid.

They’ll probably want a better and more exciting, Statue Of Liberty, action scene for the new movie.

Report: SNL’s “MacGruber” coming to the big screen, with Val Kilmer and Ryan Phillipe in talks to join cast…

Will Forte’s popular character on SNL, “MacGruber” is coming to theaters near you. Of course, Will Forte will be playing MacGruber, which is a parody of the classic TV series, MacGyver, obviously. Actors Val Kilmer, and Ryan Phillipe are in talks to join the cast of the film.

It is no secret that Hollywood makes films adapted from SNL characters over the years. With films such as “The Blues Brothers”, “Wayne’s World”, “Coneheads”, and the two Roxbury brothers in “Night at the Roxbury” that starred Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan, the two guys that bop their head to the “What Is Love” song.

Very cool. I like MacGruber, funny stuff. The film ought to be funny too if they do it right.

“It Might Get Loud” music movie that stars Jimmy Page, Jack White, and the Edge…

Ok kids, put down your plastic Guitar Hero toys and get ready to focus on playing some real guitar by getting ready for another new music documentary coming soon in theaters on Aug. 14th. A film titled, “It Might Get Loud” that stars the guitar greats: Jimmy Page, Jack White, and The Edge.

The film looks great. This film totally focuses on nothing but guitar playing throughout most of it.

Check out some videos about the film below including the trailer.

Report: Robert Rodriguez’s “Predators” director found, it is Nimrod Antal…and Brock doesn’t want Stallone in the leading role in this…

Well, it looks like Robert Rodriguez himself won’t be directing the, “Predators” reboot. Turns out Robert got a different guy by the name of Nimrod Antal. Nimrod’s most well known film is titled, “Vacancy” that starred Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson.

If you look in the AICN talkback, they are talking about who will star the lead in, “Predators”.

See it here:

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/41590

Most of the talkbackers in that link are begging for Sly Stallone to star the lead in, “Predators”. Sorry to say, but even though I’m such a huge fanatic of Sly, I don’t want Sly in “Predators”. It doesn’t fit him. “Predator” belongs to Arny.

Robert Rodriguez has been saying he’s been trying to get Arny in the lead as Dutch again, so maybe they are saving this film for when Arny is all done with politics. I think Dutch needs to return. I fucking loved the first, “Predator” film, it was an amazing flick and I would love for Dutch to return.

If Arny says no and turns it down, here are my picks of the leading role: Matt Damon, Dwayne Johnson, Antonio Banderas, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, and Michelle Rodriguez if they pick a female lead.

Report: Will Megan Fox star in “Transformers 3”? She’s in a feud with her own director, Michael Bay…could Fox quit the series or would she get fired by Bay?

Megan Fox may not be able to continue with the Transformers franchise because as of now, she’s in a heated feud with her own director, Michael Bay. She could either quit or get fired by the director.

Megan gave her honest opinion to Michael Bay himself that the Transformers series should focus on the acting skills of the cast, not the action scenes and special effects. Of course, the typical and egostitical director, Michael Bay, got self destructive, saying nasty things about Megan, with things like, “She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23, she needs to grow up.” Also, “Nobody in the world knew her until I got her in Transformers”.

Geez, relax, Mr. Bay and chill. She only gave an honest opinion and she has the right to do that! Isn’t that what actors do is give their honest opinion to directors? Isn’t that how movies are made? He was only nasty to her ’cause she’s young and beautiful.

If it was Shia Labeouf that said Bay needs to focus on acting, not the special effects, Mr. Bay would take his opinion would respect, but not with Megan Fox.

Whose side am I on for this? Megan Fox definitely. All she did was gave an opinion and Mr. Bay, got defensive.

More on it here:

http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/us-magazine-megan-fox-bay.html

Sorry, Mr. Bay, but I gotta agree with Megan, that Transformers needs to focus on the acting and not being a popcorn flick. She actually has a valid point. Michael Bay is a douche.

Thought: Brock doesn’t think Johnny Depp would make a good Michael Jackson for biopic movie…

Johnny Depp has expressed interest in playing Michael Jackson in the biopic film and rumours already hit the net hard that Depp is on for the role, but sorry to say, I don’t think Depp is a good choice for Jackson. Depp doesn’t look like MJ, and Johnny is too big and muscular, when Jackson is short and skinny.

To play the young version of Michael Jackson in the biopic, they would need a young black actor that fits his looks. For the full grown white skinned version of MJ, the face would need to be similar, the actor won’t have a white face of course, but that’s what the makeup artist is for in Hollywood.

So I would guess in the MJ biopic, MJ won’t be played by the same actor all the way through, I’ll think they’ll have different actors since MJ had so many different looks and styles over the years.

It’ll be hard to find an actor to play MJ that’ll match his looks ’cause MJ is unique in his own ways. I don’t know who will be good actors for MJ’s biopic ’cause MJ can’t be copied by anybody else.

As for who to direct it, I’m going to think someone at the top of my head and get it out of the way, it’ll be no one other than Sylvester Stallone to direct the MJ biopic. You may not agree with this choice, but I think Sly will do a good job since Sly knew MJ personally and they were friends. Who knows, maybe Sly will actually get that opportunity, that be great if he did.

If not Sly Stallone, I would also say: Spike Lee, Cameron Crowe, and Martin Scorsese. Spike Lee would probably be the best choice, since he knows the black community more than anybody. I picked Cameron Crowe because he has a strong knowledge for music and would know MJ’s history very well since he used to be a Rollingstone writer.

Anyways, the MJ biopic will get a huge Oscar nod, it’s aiming for the Oscars, everybody knows it.
