“Ghostbusters: The Video Game” is finally here!!!

The wait is finally over. “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” is finally on video game shelves everywhere. I will indeed be getting my copy tomorrow. I would get it today, but I have to cash my check from my job this week, then I’ll get it tomorrow afternoon.

Surprisingly, this game is getting so many great reviews online. Everyone is saying that this new Ghostbusters game is such a blast to play.

I’m really looking forward to it. Only thing though, I must beat, “Resident Evil 5” first, then I’ll start, “Ghostbusters” next. I’m glad the game is finally out.

Report: Alec Baldwin admits to feeling bad about phone tirade to daughter, slams TMZ for posting it publicily…

When celebrities do interviews with Playboy, it is well known that it is a no holds barred, anything goes interview where celebs can speak on any topic they please and they can reveal anything they want about their lives…whether it’s about sex, drugs, personal stuff, etc.

The latest Playboy interview which features “30 Rock Star”, Alec Baldwin, is the most revealing and honest in a long time. Alec admits to being suicidal for his temper tantrum on a cell phone with his daughter that was leaked on TMZ by Harvey Levin. In the Playboy interview, he also bashes the hell out of Harvey and says a lot of negative things about him.

Sounds like an entertaining interview to read. Maybe I’ll get that Playboy issue myself.

Harry Knowles of AICN to visit “Expendables” set this week…

According to Sheryl Main’s “Expendables” twitter page, Sly Stallone has invited AICN owner, Harry Knowles to the filming set…

http://twitter.com/marialascala

My guess is that Sly is going to give Harry some exclusive pics to post on “Aint It Cool News” and maybe Harry will be the first one to announce who Church is before anyone else?

Although there are rumours that Bruce Willis is on board for “The Expendables”, Bruce could be playing a different character though, not the Church one. It could be Bruce, but you never know, Sly could put a surprise on us and it could be someone totally different.

Look like Church is filming the scenes this week and the crew of the Expendables is not revealing who it is later this week, probably.

Top candidates on who Church could definitely be: Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Jean Claude Van Damme, Josh Brolin, and Tom Cruise maybe?

The reason John Travolta makes the list is because according to recent entertainment reports, Travolta is back to work in Hollywood, so he could definitely be the top pick.

AICN will probably have the Church exclusive soon. This Church role sounds huge and may shock the world.

In response to article about Weird Al’s homage to the Doors…

Read this:

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13577_3-10265362-36.html

I agree that the music of the song itself is very dead on with the Doors. Al Yankovic’s vocals is surprisingly almost close to Jim Morrison, but I think there is a reason that Al’s lyrics aren’t the same as Jim’s styles.

I think there is a legal reason for it. Al respects other people’s work legally and takes it very seriously. Maybe Al didn’t parody one of the Doors songs because Ray Manzarek wouldn’t allow it, for a legal reason. Maybe Al didn’t copy Jim’s writing style because Mr. Manzarek wouldn’t allow it. So I believe it was Ray himself that suggested Al to write something new and different for a Doors homage. I bet it was Ray himself that instructed Al how to perform this song in the studio.

Why would Al want to copy Jim Morrison’s writing style anyways? I wouldn’t like that. Al respected the late Jim Morrison and put Al’s own style in lyric writing for the song.

Al Yankovic made it clear before, his next album is going to be very topical, songs that will be about real events. He’s doing exactly that. His first single before this one which was T.I.’s parody is about the economic times we are having.

Those who are curious about the lyrics of “Craigslist” the new Weird Al tune, here it is here:

http://lyricwiki.org/%22Weird_Al%22_Yankovic:Craigslist

In my opinion, I think the lyrics are pretty funny. If you read it carefully, understand what Al is trying to say in it, you would find it hilarious.

Even the craigslist founder/owner found it funny as well!

Again though, I think there is definitely a legal reason behind why Al didn’t write the lyrics on how Jim Morrison would have wrote it. Ray was probably very strict about it. Ray has always been protective of Jim Morrison and the Doors music from day 1 ever since they started.

BREAKING NEWS: Sean Penn pulls out of “Cartel” and “The 3 Stooges” for personal reasons…

Sean Penn has pulled out of two major Hollywood films he was confirmed to star in. They are: “Cartel” and “The 3 Stooges”. It has nothing to do with Hollywood or the films itself, he is pulling out due to personal and private reasons.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118005035.html?categoryid=10&cs=1

Well, Sean is having an on and off divorce battle against his wife, Robin Wright. That’s probably why. Maybe to straighten things out with his wife or maybe it’s something worse, that the couple could be divorced officially soon?

I was looking forward to seeing Sean as Larry of the “3 Stooges”. Well I’m sure the Farrelly’s will find a replacement very quickly.

Cool Video: OMG!!!!!! Weird Al homage to the Doors to make fun of “craigslist”, with Ray Manzarek on keyboards!!!

“Weird Al” Yankovic has done it again. This time, he did a style parody of the Doors. This is an original song written by Al Yankovic, it’s not a parody of the Doors, but a style parody. Al Yankovic collaborates with the Doors keyboardist, Ray Manzarek in this song. This is “Weird Al’s” latest official video. It looks like Al is finally coming out with a new album soon.

This is just brilliant work. It’s nice to see Al Yankovic finally release an original song for a single, which he doesn’t do very much in his career. Most of his hit singles are all parodies of other work. This song is an original one written by Al himself.

Which I’m sure he got tons of advice and help from Ray Manzarek himself to make this song sound exactly like the Doors.

Enjoy this. Amazing job, Al. This is your best new work in a long time! Al is a musical genius, period. 🙂

Report: Eddie Van Halen is Hot For Nike…sues shoe company for trademarking guitar design…

The two handed fret tapping guitar god, Eddie Van Halen, has filed a lawsuit against, Nike, the legendary shoe company. He claims they stole the design of the new shoe they just made from his well known custom made guitar called, The Frankenstein.

Eddie filed a federal lawsuit against Nike accusing them of trademark infrigement, using the design without Eddie’s authorized permission.

TMZ reports:

http://www.tmz.com/2009/06/16/so-shoe-me-van-halen-takes-nike-to-court/

It isn’t trademark infrigement if the design is exactly the same which it isn’t. The colors are the same, yes, but the black and white X’s on the shoe are different on the Frankenstein guitar.

So who is safe in this lawsuit? I’m on Nike’s side on this one. Sorry Eddie. Nike wins. Eddie just needs to get rid of his delusional big fat ego.

Report: WWE and wrestler The Big Show, sued by SoBe…

The WWE and wrestling superstar, The Big Show (Real name: Paul Wight), has been sued by SoBe Entertainment. SoBe is looking for $2 million as a result from a return of the Big Show to the WWE, back in the Spring of 2008 when he came back to feud with iconic boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr. for Wrestlemania 24. SoBe claims the WWE has cancelled the Floyd Mayweather vs. The Big Show match which never happened, the match happened anyway.

The reason Paul Wight (Big Show) was sued ’cause Sobe claims he refused to perform and owes the IRS tax money. The reason Sobe associated with Paul Wight is because they offered him to buy a house back in 2006.

More on it here:

http://www.ifight365.com/2009/06/wwe-and-big-show-hit-with-multi-million-dollar-lawsuit/

The WWE always seems to be getting sued for something these days. They already lost one lawsuit for a trademark of the “WWF” name when the World Wildlife Fund took it from them.

Thought: Spinal Tap, “Back From the Dead” and their performance on Conan O’ Brien last night…

“This is Spinal Tap” is one of my favorite movies of all time. I love that film to death, the film is so hilarious and one of the best comedies ever made, in my opinion. I’m so glad that these guys are making Spinal Tap a real band now. If the Monkees can do it, why can’t Spinal Tap, right?

Last night on, “The Tonight Show” with Conan O’ Brien, Spinal Tap was the musical guest and my god, they played one fucking amazing performance, I was blown away! The original lineup playing their original characters: Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer, all in character last night! I was most impressed with Christopher Guest’s guitar skills. He played a killer solo during that song they were playing.

After that performance, I’m thinking to myself, why would a talented guitar player like Christopher Guest mostly direct movies instead of the music? It looks like Christopher wants to concentrate on music more now because Spinal Tap released a new album this week and they are on a summer tour in support of it.

Spinal Tap are funny guys and talented musicians as well. I’m definitely picking up their new album, “Back from the Dead” this week. Along with the new Ghostbusters video game for the PS3 and the “Friday the 13th” movie on DVD. I plan on going to the mall this Thursday to get all those.

Back to Spinal Tap, I’m glad they are back. Is this a sign that they are planning a new movie in the works for the big screen? Is this why they released a new album and tour so they can document it all for another film? Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what they are planning.
