Chris Jericho… why I respect the hell out of him…

I may have stopped watching WWE for a long while but I’ll never stop loving all the wrestlers and I will always respect the company’s superstars. Chris Jericho who is also known as, Y2J is one of those wrestlers who I respect a whole lot. I just read his first two books, “A Lions Tale” and “Undisputed” (both of these books are really good, btw). I haven’t read his third book, “The Best In the World” (which just came out not too long ago) but I will get around to it soon. I’ve been a Jericho fan for many years. Pretty much followed his entire WWE career. He’s a great wrestler, great performer and great entertainer.

Most importantly of all, he seems like a good guy in real life too. Why do I look up to him so much? I  just like the way he talks and the way he thinks. He’s a pretty intelligent guy and very honest. I just think he tells the best wrestling stories than any other wrestlers out there. Yeah, other wrestlers tell wrestling stories but Jericho is the best at it. If you want proof of that… listen to his podcast show, “Talk Is Jericho” and read his books. After I read his first two books and listening to his podcast show, this stuff is bringing back a lot of memories from the old days of wrestling. So far, I remember all of this stuff. I also enjoy listening to Jericho’s conversations on music and metal.

His podcast show “Talk Is Jericho” is very good. Ever since IOS 8 was made, the new Podcast app came up. “Talk Is Jericho” is the only podcast show I listen to and so far, I listened to the first 59 episodes. The podcast is addicting. Seriously, it’s the only podcast show I listen to. I don’t listen to other podcast shows. Jericho’s podcast is the only one worth listening to, in my opinion.

I respect this man a whole lot ’cause I admired him for making his dreams come true and working hard to entertaining people. He has a passion for it and he’s very good with his fans too.

I haven’t gotten into his band Fozzy yet but gonna plan on getting their albums soon. I just respected him for his wrestling career. I hope to get my chance to meet the guy sometime if he’ll ever do an autograph signing around here sometime in the future.

This guy is an icon in wrestling and we have a future WWE Hall of Famer for sure.

If you ever asked me who my favorite wrestlers of all time are, here are my top 5 in no order:

Chris Jericho Y2J

Ric Flair

Mick Foley

Ultimate Warrior

The Undertaker

Even though I stopped watching WWE… I haven’t been watching for over a year now… I will always be a wrestling fanatic, though. I just prefer the older days of wrestling like 80’s through the 90’s. I don’t like today’s wrestling at all.

How to put on a successful award show that the Capital District will be more supportive to…

In this post, I’m gonna give some advice to the organizers of “The Cammy Awards” (http://www.thecammys.net/) which I know they will never take but if they want this show to be taken seriously, they should listen up.

Here is a little step-by-step:

  1. Spend lesser time patting each other on the backs: If you want this show to be taken seriously spend less time jerking each other off and kissing each other’s asses. This turns a lot of people off. You know that old sayin’, “Leave your ego at the door”? You should treat the talent in this area with more respect instead of this show being all about yourselves.
  2. Make the nominations more fair: Instead of nominating all your friends and your sponsors, you should nominate bands & musicians that truly deserve it. Nominate people that this area likes, instead of nominating the people that you guys like.
  3. Be able to handle constructive criticism: When you guys want to put together an award show for the Capital District… one thing to keep in mind that this is a VERY public event that you guys are running. Which also means that this opens the doors for public criticism. You guys behind this award show… TierOneTalent and all those other idiots have been very defensive of any kind of criticism. You guys refuse to debate people about this. Instead of getting into an adult discussion with us about this show, you have to threaten us and censor us. My 2cents, if you can’t handle constructive criticism, then YOU don’t have what it takes to run a show like this. If you won’t let people speak their minds and be realistic, then people will be less supportive of this event. Act like professionals. Let people speak their minds and maybe people will be more supportive and caring.
  4. Make the winners go to the right people: People who are part of the voting panels should not be getting nominated or winning awards. We’re not dumb, we know how you guys have been doing the voting process in your anonymous panel. It shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how you guys do it. Anybody that wins an award is probably part of your anonymous panel. We don’t have to be at the show to see how you guys do it. If you guys knock it off and play more fair, then the Capital District might be more supportive and caring toward this show.

That’s about all I can I come up with. I know those guys will never take this advice ’cause they really are desperate for this kind of attention. I know this post might anger some and some guys from the organizers of this crap show will try to defend themselves but I don’t give a shit. I’m not backing down.

Some might say if you don’t like this show, just ignore it? Sure, I could if I wanted but I find it’s fun to pick on it and criticize it. I’m also a realist and all I’m pretty much doing is trying to warn the Capital District about this show. Just trying to warn people not to trust it and to tell the truth that this isn’t a legitimate award show. This show is being run by frauds and amateurs and I’m not afraid to say it. Just trying to save people from disappointment and to save people from getting hurt and destroyed by these assholes.

I’m still blown away by the “Interstellar” movie… it really was amazing…

Could Christopher Nolan finally win his first “Best Picture” for his sci-fi epic, “Interstellar”??? I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see. The Academy have never been all that friendly with sci-fi movies over the years with the Oscars. There were several sci-fi movies that got nominated for Best Picture such as “Gravity”, “Inception”, “District 9”, “Avatar”, “E.T.”, “A Clockwork Orange”, “Her”, and the original “Star Wars” movie. Yes, they all got Oscar nominated for Best Picture but of course, none of them got the win. So technically a sci-fi film never won a Best Picture nod before.

Could the Oscars this year make history and give their first sci-fi Best Picture win to “Interstellar”??? Like I said we’ll have to wait and see. I can see “Interstellar” winning for other categories such as Best original screenplay, best sound, best musical score, best cinematography, etc.

I also forgot to mention in my “Interstellar” review that the score to the film was killer. I’ve been impressed with Hans Zimmer as of late. He’s the best musical composer for movies today, in my opinion. I think I’m gonna end up buying the soundtrack for “Interstellar” pretty soon.

I would like to see it in theater again but the new “Hunger Games: Mockingjay” is coming out in a few weeks so I’m probably gonna see that instead. “Interstellar” really was a mind blowing masterpiece.

I’ve followed Christopher Nolan’s movies for years. The man’s a fucking genius for sure. Christopher Nolan is smart and honest. He knows what he wants. He’s very good at trying to get from what he sees in his head to the screen.

I think there’s gonna be a sequel to “Interstellar”, though ’cause the ending kind of left open for another movie. Could “Interstellar” end up being a trilogy of some sorts???

You should really go see the movie before it stops playing. It’s a long one but worth sticking through, trust me. So far, this is the best movie of 2014.

Trey Gowdy not the hero congressman we all want him to believe???

Right-wingers looked up to Trey Gowdy ’cause we all expected him to take down Obama over Benghazi and his imperial presidency. Turns out that’s not what Trey’s intention is gonna be. Trey seems to be another Republican disagreeing with impeachment much like Speaker Boehner.

For the past couple of months, Trey seemed to be too kind toward Obama. With his Benghazi “Select Committee” investigations, I’ve noticed they haven’t questioned Obama once. Obama was never brought up during the public hearings. Everything about Benghazi so far have been more about Hillary than Obama.

Also when Trey was questioning the Secret Service during the fence jumping incident, he even seemed concerned for Obama’s safety.

http://nation.foxnews.com/2014/11/14/watch-trey-gowdys-soon-be-classic-one-liner-against-impeaching-obama-have-you-met-joe

So after all of the above, Trey is another slimey Republican protecting Obama???

I just can’t understand why Republicans don’t agree with impeachment. I just think it’s because of a race issue. They don’t wanna risk being called a racist if they impeach their first black president, ya know?

There are some Republicans that agree with impeachment but not enough of ’em. I’m starting to lose respect toward Trey Gowdy myself. Like I said before, even some Republicans are protecting Obama.

Even Dave Grohl knows that music doesn’t have to be for the money…

Dave Grohl is an awesome guy. While he does play in one of the most iconic rock bands on the planet and while Dave is a pretty wealthy guy, he doesn’t really care about the money when playing music. When asked about the debate with Taylor Swift removing her music from Spotify, he just responded with a simple, “I don’t fucking care”. Then he goes on saying how he doesn’t care how much money people pays for his music, he just wants people to listen to it.

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/dave-grohl-wades-into-the-great-spotify-debate-i-dont-fking-care-im-playing-wembley-9860408.html

Dave knows what being a true musician is all about. That’s a great attitude to have and that’s what being a humble musician is all about. If all you wanna do is make music for the money, then you’re playing music for all the wrong reasons, in my opinion. Playing music is about the love of it and the passion. Playing music is also all about getting people to listen to the music that you make.

As far as my opinion on Taylor Swift getting rid of her music on Spotify, while I’m a big fan of her music, I disagree with her move. She claimed that Spotify is free and technically it’s not a free service. It’s not the old-school Napster and that’s probably what she was thinking.

I never cared about money when making music either. I do enjoy money like everybody else (who doesn’t???) but playing music I just do it for the love of it and try to get people to listen to my music.

If you don’t play music for free or don’t want your listeners to listen to it for free, then you gotta be greedy and egotistical, in my opinion.

The new Foo Fighters album, “Sonic Highways” is pretty fuckin’ sick, by the way. I listened to it a couple of times already and I think it’s their best album in their career. I did end up buying the album after all, couldn’t resist it.

To Bowie fans, new and old…

David Bowie is coming out with a new greatest hits compilation titled, “Nothing Has Changed”. The compilation has his greatest songs spanning his entire career pretty much. I’ve been listening to David Bowie for years so I’ve already heard most of these songs on the compilation.

Why did he name this compilation “Nothing Has Changed”???

Well, since he took a 10 year hiatus before he released the new album, “The Next Day”, I would have to say the reason for the title of the compilation album, “Nothing Has Changed” is just David’s way of sending a message to the fans that David is still here. It means he hasn’t gone away from the music business. He had too many fans wondering if he’ll be done with music during his 10 year break so this is his way of saying that he’s not done.

I read that he’s planning on releasing another new studio album after this compilation. I just knew David wouldn’t retire from music completely. I think he’ll be in the music business until he’s dead. So he’ll always be with us.

Will David ever play another concert or even go on tour? Who knows. He never said anything about that yet so never say never. I’m hoping David will perform live again ’cause he’s such a good live performer. I love watching his older performances on youtube.

I’m really am such a big Bowie fan. I’m trying to collect all of his music the best I can. I have most of his newer albums but don’t really have any of his classic albums admittedly but I’ll start getting them from Itunes at some point.

Bowie rules. He’s one of my favorites and he’s a huge inspiration for my own songwriting as well.

If Obama is so supportive of illegal immigrants then…

… Obama is probably an illegal immigrant himself. Think about it and read between the lines.

This immigration stuff is pretty scary. You should be scared of it. Illegal immigrants have no place here and Obama’s doing all he can to welcome them here. Obama wants to give them better opportunities than us. Obama wants to give them good jobs. Wants illegal immigrants to make more money than us. He wants to give them all the goodies while the rest of us pretty much have nothing and suffering.

Obama’s immigration plan is just the beginning of his transformation of America like Dinesh D’ Souza have tried to warn us in his films “2016: Obama’s America” and “America: Imagine The World Without Her”.

This immigration stuff and amnesty is not good for the country at all. Of course, delusional liberals are all for it and worshiping Obama over this.

How is Obama’s immigration plan gonna help the country and make it better? How is granting amnesty is gonna help?

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/11/13/obamas-immigration-plan-10-executive-actions-being-weighed-by-president/

Obama knows how we feel about his immigration plan and we don’t want it. He doesn’t care. Nothing’s stopping this man until impeachment or criminal charges stops him.

I think this stuff is part of his plan in turning us into a Muslim state.

How is allowing illegals to stay here a good idea??? They are undocumented people for a pretty good reason which means they could be dangerous and violent. Crime would be on the rise and it already has because of the open border in Texas.

If this isn’t a good enough sign to tell that Obama is not born in this country, then I don’t know what else it is. It’ll be nice to find a way to deport this egomaniacal asshole back to Africa where he belongs.

I do hope and pray that Republicans will be successful at stopping Obama. This is pretty scary stuff and you should be too. Obama needs to get impeached or even better arrested.

David Bowie’s new song really blew my mind… WOW!!!!!

This new song that David Bowie released today is absolutely incredible. Probably one of his best original songs in many years. The song has his best singing too.

Bowie has a greatest hits compilation coming out called, “Nothing Has Changed” and he will have a few new originals on it. This song is one of them.

I’m happy that Bowie is still making new music.

I wish he would perform live again, though. He should put on one last concert for us just like Led Zeppelin did. I wonder if David misses performing on the stage?

Pretty crazy how this Jonathan Gruber stuff isn’t all over the news when it should be!!!

One of Obamacare architects, Jonathan Gruber is making claims that the ACA has been passed due to the stupidity of the American voters. Sparked a lot of controversy in right-wing media. Right-wing media maybe all over it… but what about left-wing media? I don’t see this story being reported at all through the big three: NBC, ABC, and CBS.

I think Gruber just exposed the truth by accident that the ACA is fraudulent and illegal. Anybody who thinks the ACA is a good health law and legal is delusional. It needs to get repealed and all the architects behind the law needs to get thrown in prison along with the guy who made it… that’s Obama, of course.

If liberal media wasn’t on one side, this would have been all over the mainstream news.

In reality though, if Gruber wants to talk the “stupidity of the American voters” that title belongs to the people who voted Obama twice.

Film Review: “Interstellar”

Starring: Matt McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, John Lithgow
Directed by Christopher Nolan

Today, I’ve just seen “Interstellar” and here is my review…

Plot/Synopsis: In the near future, Earth has been devastated by drought and famine, causing a scarcity in food and extreme changes in climate. When humanity is facing extinction, a mysterious rip in the space-time continuum is discovered, giving mankind the opportunity to widen its lifespan. A group of explorers must travel beyond our solar system in search of a planet that can sustain life. The crew of the Endurance are required to think bigger and go further than any human in history as they embark on an interstellar voyage into the unknown. Coop, the pilot of the Endurance, must decide between seeing his children again and the future of the human race.

Like I said before, I am a huge fan of Christopher Nolan movies. I’ve seen all of his movies even “The Prestige” and “Inception”. Finally, the long-awaited, “Interstellar” hits the theaters and I just saw it today.

Like I predicted, “Interstellar” is another winner for Nolan. No surprise because all of his movies are amazing and so was this one. I would say though that “Interstellar” is definitely the best film of his career. It’s very rare in Hollywood that the writing in movies would be perfect… well the writing in this movie was perfect. In order to appreciate this movie and to be able to understand it, though, you must be a fan of sci-fi.

In this film, you’re not gonna see a popcorn action film. This isn’t Star Wars or a Michael Bay movie. This film is 100% sci-fi. This movie will remind you of films such as “2001: A Space Odysey”, “Solaris”, “Close Encounters”, “Starman”, “Enemy Mine”, “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”, etc. “Interstellar” is gonna be like those kind of movies. So don’t expect “Interstellar” to be full of laser guns and trying to survive against aliens.

I thought the acting by everyone was phenomenal. Like usual, Nolan is genius at choosing his casting. I thought this was Matt McConaughey’s best role. John Lithgow has a very short role in this movie but he still killed it like usual. Lithgow have been one of my favorite actors for a long time. There’s also a surprise cameo appearance by an actor named William Devane who is mostly famous for James Heller in “24”. Matt Damon also has a role. I’m not a big Matt Damon fan but his role was pretty interesting in this film. I actually liked Matt in that role that he played. I don’t wanna give too much away.

The movie was 3 hours long… yeah, it’s a long one but I wasn’t bored one bit. I didn’t yawn at all and kept my eyes on the screen throughout the whole thing. I didn’t fall asleep, thankfully. This film has Nolan’s most impressive film making, yet. The visuals and cinematography were mind blowing. Do you think the visuals and cinematography were impressive in, “Inception”? Well, you haven’t seen anything yet!!! Wait until you see what “Interstellar” looks like.

This is also a pretty sad film, though as I’ll admit it… I almost had tears myself walking out of the theater. This was a beautifully made film and it’s a masterpiece by Nolan. It’s gonna get some Oscar nominations. Not sure if it’ll get a nod for “Best Picture” but ya never know. I hope it’ll at least get a nomination for “Best Picture”. This film was definitely way better than “Gravity”.

The story to “Interstellar” maybe hard to follow and the story will get weird but like I said, you have to be a fan of sci-fi in order to get it. You shouldn’t just see this film just because your favorite actor is in it. I thought the film was amazing. So far, this is definitely the best film of the year and I’m definitely gonna get the BluRay when it comes out.

Definitely go see this one. I’ll give “Interstellar” a score of 5 out of 5 as in excellent!!!
