Report: Kevin Bacon set to star in a serial killer TV series, but he won’t be playing the serial killer…

Kevin Bacon is heading back to the small screen to star in a serial killer TV series, which will air on FOX. Kevin is mostly known for playing villains on the big screen in movies, but he won’t be playing the serial killer in this series. It looks like he’ll be playing the FBI agent. If all good with Warner Bros., the 1st season will have a 15 episode run.

More on the story, here.

I like Kevin Bacon as an actor but it seems that he’s been staying away from big screen movies and doing TV work more. Is this a sign that he’s about ready to hang up and retire from acting soon?

Kevin’s a great actor. Some of my favorite films that he’s been in are: The River Wild, Sleepers, Stir of Echoes, Death Sentence, and he was good in X-Men: First Class.

Report: Alan Moore, angry over “Watchmen” prequel announcement by DC, lawsuit coming???

DC Comics recently announced the huge news that they plan on making a 7 part prequel series to Alan Moore’s hit graphic novel, “Watchmen”. Alan Moore, the creator of “Watchmen” himself is not happy with this and he wants this project to get stopped.

Read what Alan Moore have to say, here.

I’ve read, the “Watchmen” graphic novel, and it’s way better than the movie by Zack Snyder. I also agree that the prequels shouldn’t happen. They shouldn’t happen without Alan Moore being a part of it, at least.

Thought: Um, why are people mourning, Don Cornelius???

I don’t understand people feeling sorry for the death of, Don Cornelius. He was a legend and an icon for creating the popular show, “Soul Train”, but the guy doesn’t get my respect. What made him want to shoot himself? Well look at his history. The guy was a woman beater. Remember his 2008 arrest for a felony domestic violence charge? I’m pretty sure his ex-wife, Victoria, is now relieved that he’s gone. Plus, suicide is a pretty selfish thing to do. He maybe a legend and a talented man, but that doesn’t make him a good guy. Therefor, this guy doesn’t deserve an obit here on my site.

Kev

EDIT TO ADD: I don’t mean to be an ass, but you gotta look at reality, people. I used to watch “Soul Train” when I was a kid, I used to respect him, yes, but the man had a lot of problems in his personal life. Gotta look at reality, folks.

Report: Adam Sandler is set to star in “Candyland” movie, while Hasbro is in negotiations with Universal to switch film to Sony instead…

I used to be a big Adam Sandler fan, but I lost interest in the guy because his movie choices as of late has been really weird. I stopped watching Adam Sandler movies after “Punch Drunk Love” in 2002. “Punch Drunk Love” was a great movie, it was his best performance, but everything else he did after that film, what happened to him? I loved all of Adam’s comedies in the 90’s. I loved, “Billy Madison”, “Happy Gilmore”, “The Waterboy”, “Big Daddy” was good, and so was, “Anger Management”. Most of his new movie roles have been garbage lately and I have no interest in seeing, “Jack and Jill”.

He’s still a good guy and funny as hell, but I wish he would get back to choosing good movies again and him agreeing to do, “Candyland”, is even more questionable.

The Hollywood Reporter, reports.

I used to play the “Candyland”, board game a lot when I was a kid. I won’t judge the movie when not seeing the trailer yet though.

Thought: About the Royal Rumble and the upcoming Wrestlemania…

Yes, I did end up watching the “Royal Rumble” last night Sunday night and it was real good. I actually enjoyed it. I’m glad the WWE is finally giving the younger stars the push and recognition they deserve. Even though I don’t care for the PG rating, I still respect all the performers, because they work hard for what they do and they’re good at it. Like professional wrestling or not.

The matches before the 30 Man Rumble match, were pretty good too. I actually enjoyed John Cena vs. Kane, that was actually a well played match. Kane is back to wearing the mask and he’s more evil than before.

As for the 30 Man Rumble matchup, that was pretty exciting like always. A wrestler named, Sheamus, ended up getting the win. He’s the redheaded Irish wrestler who has the white skin. There was a couple of surprise returns though: Road Dog (of the New Age Outlaws), Kharma (formerly known as Awesome Kong), and Hacksaw Jim Duggan were the surprise appearances. Most of the wrestlers in the 30 Man Rumble matchup were, young guys and pretty new to the WWE. I’m glad they gave the newer and young stars, a chance. Sheamus, is a pretty new and young wrestler, and it’s about time they gave the Rumble someone new to win, ya know?

As for the upcoming Wrestlemania, I’m looking forward to the Rock vs. John Cena match. A dream match that everyone wanted to happen and now it’s happening soon. As much as I don’t like John Cena myself, I know Cena and the Rock are going to put on one hell of a match.

I did watch RAW last night, and the Undertaker returned, the night after the Royal Rumble. It looks like Undertaker will have a third match against Triple H, again.

I’ll get back to watching RAW every week leading up to Wrestlemania to catch up. Looking forward to WM-28. I watch Wrestlemania every year.

Report: Neil Young announces new album with Crazy Horse, listen to new song called, “Horse Back”…

Neil Young just posted a new song he recorded with his Crazy Horse band. The song is called, “Horse Back”. Warning, the song is 37 minutes long, just letting you know before you listen to it. Neil’s singing doesn’t start until like 23 minutes into the song, most of it’s just an instrumental jam. I just got done listening through the whole thing. Yes,  I stuck through the entire song from start to finish.

Some of you may or may  not know this that Neil hasn’t released a new album with Crazy Horse since 2003’s, “Greendale”. Yep, it’s been a long time.

The video to “Horse Back” itself is pretty cool. The camera will show you around Neil’s home studio where he recorded that song in. Look like Neil still records everything old school. A lot of old school recording equipment in that studio. You don’t see any computers with Pro Tools rigs at all.

If you look closely in that video toward the middle, the camera will move to a music stand with a microphone in front of it. On the music stand has a bunch of papers with chord charts and lyric sheets, showing you that’s the spot where Neil usually performs his songs in the studio.

I’m a huge Neil Young fan. Not much on Neil Young’s site for now, but look like he’s changing it to announce some big news. He’s probably going to announce the return of Crazy Horse. I’m always looking forward to new music by Neil, so you can betcha, I’m looking forward to his next album.

Listen to the new song, here.

– In 1967: The Beatles spent a second day at Knole Park, Sevenoaks, Kent, England to complete filming for the ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ promotional video. The film was shot in colour, for the benefit of the US market, since UK television was still broadcasting only in black and white. Taking time out from filming John Lennon bought a 1843 poster from an antiques shop in Surrey which provided him with most the lyrics for The Beatles song ‘Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite’.

– In 1970: The Jackson Five went to No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘I Want You Back’. The song was originally written for Gladys Knight & The Pips and was the first of four No.1’s for the group. It made No.2 in the UK.

– In 1981: Blondie went to No.1 on the US singles hart with ‘The Tide Is High’, the group’s third US No.1, also a No.1 in the UK.

– In 1987: Paul Simon went back to No. 1 on the UK album chart with ‘Graceland’, the album stayed on the chart for 101 weeks.

– In 1988: Janet Jackson started a two week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘Together Again’.

– In 2007: Jim Morrison was enlisted to help fight global warming more than 35 years after his death. ‘Woman in the Window’, a previously unreleased poem written and recorded by The Doors frontman shortly before he died in 1971 was being set to music and used to publicise the Global Cool campaign.

Cool Video: “The Cold Light of Day” trailer is here!!!

The “Man of Steel” star Henry Cavill is creating a lot of buzz in the movie industry lately. He starred in the epic Greek mythology movie, “Immortals”, which was a great film and here’s Henry next action movie. It’s called, “The Cold Light of Day”. The film also stars, Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver. This looks to be a fun action film even if it’s PG-13 rated. I guess you can add this film to the list of my most anticipated movies of 2012. I’m definitely there to see this movie.

See the trailer here at AICN.
