Report: Why Zack Snyder was hired to do “Superman” and plot possibly revealed?

Ok, here is the real reason why Zack Snyder was chosen to do the next, “Superman” movie. The reason is, David Goyer’s script was rushed and it was still a huge mess. They needed a director who can get things done quickly and not take their time. Zack Snyder is known to do everything quickly, so that’s why he was hired so he can help David and Chris complete the story quickly. They need to get things done quickly because remember, the lawsuit thing by the original Superman heirs, they must get a new Superman movie in production by 2011, or they could get a nasty lawsuit.

The plot has been leaked. The plot to the new “Superman” movie is rumored to be similar to “Batman: Begins”. Clark Kent is a journalist at the Daily Planet in Metropolis and he is just trying to decide whether or not to become, Superman.

If that’s what the plot is for the next movie, that’s pretty cool. I honestly, really like it. The plot is getting a lot of flak online, but Clark Kent trying to decide whether to be Superman or not, has NOT been done before in a film or a TV show. So that’s an original idea. I’m sure there is more to that story ’cause Zack Snyder himself hinted at what the plot could be about, “Why Superman?”.  Doesn’t sound like a remake of the TV show, “Smallville” or “Superman: The Movie” to me. Keep in mind that this a rumored plot so it’s not official. I’m not believing anything until either Zack or Chris starts talking about the story to the media.

If most of the movie is going to be taken place at the Daily Planet, where Clark Kent works, he’ll get harassed and bossed around by Perry White most of the time, would be an entertaining movie. Sounds like the story is just going to have Clark Kent throughout most of the movie, and Superman won’t actually show up toward the end. I hope Superman won’t show up toward the end, we need Superman throughout most of the movie.

I’m sure Zack or Chris will soon confirm if this plot is true or not once this news hits the internet heavy enough. Maybe they’ll reveal the real plot after?

In other casting ideas, I’d love to see Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard of Star Trek: TNG) get the role of Jor-El. Patrick could easily give it a Marlon Brando feel.

Thought: Teen suicides and cyberbullies…

So teens killing themselves because they get picked on for being gay is on the rise, and this is making the news both locally and nationally. While this is sad and horrible, I personally think stuff like this shouldn’t even be making the news. Cyberbullying or kids getting picked on at school, happens all the time. So the question you have to ask is, who is the guilty one here? Is it the bullies or is the teens who committed suicide ’cause of the bullying? I’m going to take the blame on the teen and not the bullies. The thing is, when you put yourself out there on the internet, you’re going to get a lot of cyberbullies and haters. Whether you put yourself out there in facebook, myspace, etc. Where ever, you’re going to expect a lot of harassment from anonymous people. That’s just the way the internet is. Those kids who killed themselves for over some computer, they are probably childish people themselves who couldn’t ignore the bullying.

Anybody can become a victim of anonymous cyberbullying. Not just gay teens. Straight people can get cyberbullied too, both straight men and women. If you’re going to get yourself on social networking sites, you gotta have guts and “IGNORE” all harassment and drama. It isn’t that hard to do. Suicide is a pretty selfish thing to do, so the kids who killed themselves over this stuff, didn’t have the balls to ignore cyberbullying and didn’t have what it takes to defend themselves.

Anonymous cyberbullies just go around looking for things to pick on and look for things to laugh at. Gotta be an adult over this stuff, not take bullying seriously, and not care what anybody thinks or says about you. When will these kids take the blame on their suicides, maybe it was them that started it all that got them to bully them. This is why underage teens shouldn’t even be using the internet.

I get my share of cyberbullying, but that’s alright, I’m cool with it. I can deal with it like a man and act like internet drama is nothing to me. Period.

Thought: Leo Dicaprio could get the Superman role, don’t be surprised folks!

Well, I’ve heard that Brandon Routh and Tom Welling of “Smallville” TV show is out of the new Superman, they are definitely not doing it. Jon Hamm is rumored to be a possibility now. Don’t be surprised that Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan has their eye on Leo Dicaprio for Superman. For many years, comic book superhero films has tried to get Leo to play a super hero, but a deal never fell through for Leo to star in a superhero film. Could Leo actually be Clark Kent/Superman? “Inception” was such a huge hit, and keep in mind, “Inception” was a Warner Bros. movie too. I know I had a post before about Leo could possibly get a role for the new “Superman” movie, but I’m going to rewrite it again to remind you all. If Leo is not Superman, maybe he could get a different role, Leo could be Luthor or maybe Jor-El. Leo will definitely get a role for either the new “Superman” film or the next “Batman” film either way. Would everybody go see Superman, if Leo was Supes?

I’ve been reading articles online that the film makers are already casting for Superman. We’ll know who it is real soon.

Look like the Governator has been training his own 17 year old son, Patrick, and teaching him fitness/bodybuilding! Patrick is at a good start. If he keeps at it, he could be ripped and huge like his father was back in the 80’s. Patrick could have that Mr. Olympia look like his father when he turns 30 years of age. Is Patrick, pursuing a career in bodybuilding and movies like his old man? Look at Patrick’s face, he looks just like Arnie. Patrick could be the next upcoming action star!

Thought: In defense of Zack Snyder being picked as the next “Superman” director…

As expected, Zack Snyder is getting so much flak and getting a bit of a backlash for being chosen to direct, the next Superman, currently titled, “The Man of Steel”. I know I said before, I didn’t want Snyder to direct the film in a blog post, but I changed my mind, took it back and decided to go for a more positive direction. If you think about it, Zack is a perfect fit for the next Superman.

Why did Christopher Nolan and WB’s choose him? Well, like I said before, Zack has a strong knowledge with comics and superheroes. Mr. Nolan probably admired him for that. Plus, Zack probably knows the Superman character better than anybody. I think Zack Snyder is a wonderful film maker, he is not terrible that the haters out there are making him out to be. I thought “Watchmen” was an amazing film. I didn’t like it the first time I saw it in theater, but after watching it more than once, “Watchmen” is one incredible story. If any of you have seen the movie, “Watchmen”, it really did feel like a Superman movie. Maybe that’s why WB’s picked him. What are other reasons WB’s picked Zack? Probably because he’s good with action and storytelling. People accuse “Watchmen” of being a live action video game with all the slow motion special effects Zack is known to doing all the time. Maybe that’s why WB’s picked Zack, ’cause he’s good with slow motion and that’s what Superman would need in certain flying scenes.

People are so quick at judging that Zack is going to ruin the Superman franchise and destroy it, not gonna happen. Zack knows all about the Superman stories, he will stay true to the comics. Just give Zack a chance. I think he will make a beautiful Superman movie, and I honestly hope this one will get Oscar nominated if he’s lucky enough. Zack is not going to make the next Superman flick similar to “Watchmen” or “300” at all, so people need to relax.

I don’t think the next Superman flick will be a sequel, to “Superman: Returns”. Since General Zod will be the villain for the next one, sounds like the next one will be taken place either before or after “Superman II”. Zod was killed at the end of “Superman II”, and before the film, he was in the Phantom Zone on planet Krypton. Whatever Nolan and David Goyer has planned for that story, is gonna be very interesting.

There’s a lot of people out there that want Brandon Routh back as well. It wouldn’t surprise me at all, if WB’s and Chris Nolan decided to bring back, Brandon Routh. I personally don’t want Routh back as I would like someone else to get the opportunity to play Superman, but it don’t bother me at all if Routh does happen to come back. Zack won’t dissapoint. I believe in him and Christopher Nolan. Of course, the new Supes flick will definitely have plenty of CGI and action, but it will focus on the story mostly. People accuse Zack of making the next Superman movie full of 3 hours non stop action, but I don’t think he’s going to do that. Like Zack said himself in the Deadline article, he’s a huge fan of the character. He knows Superman stories are told with heart and feeling, Zack will tell the next film in that way just like he did with the “Watchmen” movie. “Watchmen” wasn’t all action, it was mostly story.

I’m looking forward to seeing Zack’s take on Superman. Zack is keeping quiet on the storyline ’cause Chris Nolan and Warner Brothers probably don’t want him talking about the storyline until the time is right. I’m very excited that they are quickly moving forward to the next Supes flick, and you bet your ass, I’ll go see this film in theater. Believe in Zack, trust him, he’ll make a great Superman movie.

Report: General Zod will be the next Superman villain…

While the story of the next “Superman” movie is being kept under wraps for now, the film makers announced that General Zod will be the film’s main villain. So does this mean, no Lex Luthor at all? The Hollywood Reporter, gives the exclusive news.

I’m all for Zod being the villain again, but as long as it’s not a remake of “Superman II”, I’m cool with it.

Terence Stamp would obviously be too old to reprise this role, so they’ll need a younger actor to fit the look above.

BREAKING NEWS: Zack Snyder is directing the next Superman film!!!! It’s Confirmed!!!

Congratulations to Zack Snyder! This will be a huge opportunity for him! Warner Bros., Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas has chosen, “The Watchmen”, “300” and “Legends of the Guardians” director to direct the next Superman movie. See the article here at, Deadline.

Honestly, he is a good pick. I really loved “Watchmen” and “Legends of the Guardians”. I didn’t care for “300” that much though.

Now that they officially have a director for the next, Supes flick. Now they have to start casting for, Superman/Clark Kent.

Billy Crudup, the leading star of the “Watchmen” movie, wouldn’t make a bad Superman/Clark Kent if you think about it. Crudup has got that look. We’ll know who the new Superman is soon and I’m sure we’ll hear the plot/synopsis soon as well.

Zack Snyder himself, took to his twitter to post a 32 cent Superman stamp to announce the news. Pretty cool. 🙂 “Watchmen” was a really good movie, I’m sure his take on “Superman” will be great too!

Report: Jason Bourne 4 director found…film will be directed by Tony Gilroy…

Universal Pictures, has officially found their director for Jason Bourne 4. The new director is Tony Gilroy. Gilroy also did, “Duplicity”, and, “Michael Clayton”. Don’t count on Matt Damon coming back for Bourne 4 ’cause it looks like it won’t happen. Damon won’t do it without Paul Greengrass. So look like we’re gonna get a different actor for, Jason Bourne. It also sounds like they are re-booting the entire franchise as this article said they are going back to the beggining, not continuing from the last Bourne movie.

Could the franchise be successful without Matt Damon? To be honest with you, yes it could be successful easily. Hope they find a good actor for the next, Jason Bourne. I’m a big fan of the Jason Bourne stories. Huge fan. If James Bond and Jack Ryan can go through so many different actors, the same will happen with the Jason Bourne movies.

Who should be the next Jason Bourne? I hope it won’t be Jeremy Renner or Channing Tatum.

I would like Jason Ritter from NBC’s “The Event”, to be the new Bourne. That show, “The Event” is almost Bourne like, Jason Ritter might be a good pick.

Report: Tony Danza doesn’t like getting his picture taken with fans, no matter how old you are!

The former star of “Taxi” and “Who’s the Boss”, Tony Danza, hates getting his picture taken with fans. He doesn’t even like getting his picture taken with young children. He claims that it’s too much because everyone has a camera on a cell phone.

Tony doesn’t seem like a friendly guy that everyone thinks he is. All celebrities are different, people. Some celebs are great with their fans and some aren’t. That’s just the way Hollywood is. It’s not like they don’t enjoy getting their picture taken, all it takes is one or two quick seconds for a simple photo. It’s just that some celebs has a huge ego that they think they are more important than getting a photo taken with a fan. In other words, what celebs are really saying when they refuse to take a pic, “You don’t deserve a photo with me ’cause I’m bigger than you are”.

John Cena heel turn on the way? Sorry folks, I just can’t see it happening!

I didn’t watch last night’s WWE “Hell in a Cell” ppv for a few reasons. One reason, I’m trying to cut down on ppv’s. Another reason, I was worried that John Cena will win and become the hero again like he usually is on WWE ppvs. Turns out, I was wrong. I’m sure everyone else thought John Cena was going to win his match against Wade Barret. The thing is, if John Cena loses the match, he is forced to join Nexus. If Cena won, Nexus would be over. Turns out that Wade Barret won, and Cena will have to join Nexus tonight on RAW. Will Cena wear the black t-shirt with the N symbol on the front of it? He probably will. Some may think that Cena maybe turning heel very soon, but I don’t see it happening. Cena will pretend to be heel for a little while, then one day, he will stab them in the back and become a hero again. Cena is too popular with children. He sells a lot of merchandise, plus, Cena is doing movies. Maybe Cena will be a full time heel for a long while, don’t know, I don’t think it’s possible.

I read the results of “Hell in a Cell” ppv last night and it didn’t sound like a very good ppv. Glad I didn’t watch it.
