Report: Sly confirms Wesley Snipes is on board for Expendables 3??? Mel Gibson to direct and star???

Sly tweeted that Wesley Snipes is officially on board to join the cast for, “The Expendables 3”. I went to Sly’s twitter page, but it looks like he removed it, for whatever reason. Sly then teased, that he plans on asking Mel Gibson to direct and have a starring role in the film too.

More on the story, here.

Well, it’s no surprise that Wesley Snipes would be returning to acting right away, after getting released from prison. He needs to get his financial income back in order somehow, since he refused to pay his taxes right? He’s probably broke, by now. Other than that, it’s great to see Sly and Wes team together again since 1993’s, “Demolition Man”.

As for Sly trying to ask Mel Gibson to direct and star? Heh, good luck on that one, Sly. I don’t think Mel would jump on board unless he gets a hand on writing duties. I can understand why Sly would want Mel since Mel is great at action films. Mel is a very talented director and screenwriter, but it seems that Mel does his own thing with directing. Mel is good at making violent and gritty scenes, and the Expendables could use something like this. Mel is still starring in violent action movies to this day, but I’m sure Mel is a difficult guy to deal with. If Sly can actually get Mel on board, that would be surprising, but I don’t see it happening. Mel would probably turn it down.

I won’t talk about my personal life online…

For some weird reason there are too many people wondering what my life is like off the computer. The last thing I want to do is talk about my personal life. Why? Because it’s none of your business but my own, that’s why. I won’t talk about my financial income, sex life or any of those things. The only thing I don’t mind talking about in my personal life are the things that I like to do. For example, all the hobbies that I have like movies, music, fitness, and all that stuff. That stuff I can talk about. Other than that, I just can’t respond to people questioning my personal life, and it’s very rude, disrespectful that people do that. I never get into everyone else’s business, and people should stay out of mine.

It’s a good thing, to keep personal things off the internet; if you don’t want the whole world talking about it. That’s why I do nothing but talk about entertainment stuff, current events, and politics.

If you want to get to know me better, you can do that, by reading my blogs or listening to my music. Or even better, meeting me in person. That’s the only way you’ll get to know more about me. That’s as far as you’ll go. I like to keep my life private. The only thing I make public are my likes and interests.

Kev

From this point forward…

Anybody who just comes here to treat me in a negative direction or just to dick me around for fun, those kind of people will no longer be allowed to post. I don’t accept trolls or hateful people here. There’s a few certain idiots who has really nothing positive to say here, but they just continually like to fight and argue with me on here, all the time. It’s getting old and tiresome. I try to make my blog fun, entertaining and positive the best I can, but like usual, there’s always gonna be people who will still treat you negatively. I just want fun and joyful conversations. Talk to me like you would talk to me in person. Treat me like how you’d like to be treated, and your comment will be approved publicly. It’s easy, right?

I don’t appreciate people coming here criticizing my personal life and things like that, when you guys know nothing about me at all. Try saying the stuff you say to my face, I dare ya.

I’m trying to change this blog in a different direction, by talking about movies more, and reviewing local bands, all that stuff. Yet, the trolls will find their way around to find something to bash me about.

The first comment that appears on this site planning to attack me or argue with me on this site, it’ll be removed and you’ll be done commenting on here permanently. That’s it. The trolls and hateful people are done here, for good.

Just finished re-reading, Stephen King’s “Carrie”… ***Spoilers beware***

I just finished re-reading Stephen King’s, “Carrie”, novel. This was obviously the first novel, King has written in his career. The story was originally intended to be a short story for a magazine, but King has decided that this story was garbage, so he throw it out. His wife, Tabitha King, dug the story out of the trash, and she read it. She loved it too much that she begged him to finish it. Stephen finished it, but expanded it into a novel instead of a short story. Now look, where the book got him. He is the world’s most famous writer, all because of,”Carrie”. If he threw out “Carrie”, and if his wife haven’t found it, then King wouldn’t have gotten where he is today.

On with the story, I really hope the new “Carrie” film with Chloe Moretz, would stay more faithful to the book. I’m going to talk a little bit about the story, with spoilers of course.

The reason I hate Depalma’s version of “Carrie” so much is because for the most part, most of it didn’t follow the book. I thought most of that film was pretty whacky to begin with; even though, I thought Depalma’s version of the Prom scene was terrific. That was the only good part about that movie.

However, in King’s book, “Carrie”, Carrie White just didn’t go in total destruction mode of the Chamberlain High School. She destroyed the whole town. In the book, she already knew she had telekinetic powers, while the movie acted like she was trying to figure it out. At the end of King’s book, Carrie actually dies because she used way too much kinetic powers to kill Chris Hargensen and Billy in a car, (I think they showed the car destruction in the new “Carrie” trailer, that was just out). In Depalma’s version of the movie, they let Carrie survive at the end. Will they actually let “Carrie” die, in this movie?

In King’s book, the book ends with another girl named, Melina, having telekinetic powers, similar like Carrie’s. I wouldn’t be surprised if the new “Carrie” movie with Chloe Moretz, will let Carrie live at the end so there can be a sequel. This movie shouldn’t have a sequel ’cause King’s book didn’t end like that.

I’m hoping, and praying that the new “Carrie” film with Chloe will stay more true to this book, this time around, and looking at the new trailer, it looks like it might. While Depalma’s version with Sissy Spacek is a classic movie, indeed, it just didn’t work for me. I think Chloe’s version will make it just right, this time around.

Black Sabbath reveals track listing for new album, “13”…

Black Sabbath (minus, Bill Ward), have revealed the track listing for their new upcoming album titled, “13”. The track listing is listed, here.

A lot of people are disappointed that the album have only 8 songs. If you really think that, then you must be a new fan of Black Sabbath. Almost every Black Sabbath album over the past 20 years, only had like 7 or 8 songs. Why? Because Tony and the guys always liked to jam. They’re not just about the songwriting parts. They’re about jamming and improvisation. The songs progresses as they go along. They still have that method of making music to this day. A CD can only have like 60 or 70 minutes worth of music, so they can only fit in songs that would fit the time enough perfectly.

Black Sabbath is also getting a lot of, “No Bill Ward, No Black Sabbath”, comments from the fans everywhere. To those who say that, also must be a newbie. I’ve said repeatedly that this is not the first time for Black Sabbath, their feud with Bill Ward. Bill has been difficult toward the guys for years. The guys in Sabbath has been trying to get together with Bill for the past 20 years or so, it’s just that he’s never interested. Why can’t people understand that Bill is just a greedy son of a bitch? He’s an egotist; all he cares about is the money. Stop blaming Sharon Osbourne for this ’cause that’s so absurd.

Black Sabbath is the type of band that when a member leaves, either quit or been fired, they’ve always been the, “the show must go on”, type. So yes, the show must go on. So the band says, “Fuck, Bill Ward”, and they’re moving on without him. Despite Bill Ward, not being part of this reunion, it’s still gonna be a sick and heavy album. I’m looking forward to hearing it!

That’s what a band gets for staying together for this long. Fans will get all kinds of misinformation from them, in this day and age. The band unfairly gets blamed for Bill bailing out, when they have nothing to do with it; this was all Bill’s doing himself. The band are always willing to have Bill play with them whenever he wants, Bill just needs to stop being a greedy asshole. Fuck Bill. Let him go. This is still gonna be a cool album, and I’m looking forward to it!

Film Review: Evil Dead

Starring: Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci

Directed By: Fede Alvarez

Well, earlier this afternoon, I finally got around to watching the new, “Evil Dead” movie, in a theater, this time! Here is my review:

Plot/Synopsis: Five young friends, go out vacationing, and they discover an old remote cabin in the woods, where they decide to stay at for a few days. Mia who is David’s sister, is a recovering heroin addict, and they investigate the cabin, whether it is safe to stay there or not. When they decided to stay, they discover the Book of the Dead in the basement. One of them decided to read the book and they accidentally summoned the Deadites living in the woods nearby. The group tries to fight off these Deadites for survival.

When this project was first announced since last year, I was kind of skeptical of this film myself. I was even more skeptical when Diablo Cody, jumped on board to help write the script with these guys. Now that the movie is finally here, and I got to see it, I was pleasantly surprised. This is a true horror film, at it’s finest. I don’t mind an “Evil Dead” movie, without Bruce Campbell starring as Ash, but as long as the original team is still behind it, I’m all for it. This film was an absolute thrill ride. I had such a blast watching this film. I never felt like that watching a horror film. I’ve seen so many horror flicks over the years. Most of them don’t want to make you jump up and cheer. Get grossed out or even get scared a little bit. This film did all that. It was creepy and gory as hell, all the way through. Even though this film has nothing to do with Ash, as expected, there were plenty of Ash references, and they’re real easy to spot too!

A lot of people said that this film was very much like the original, the first one, but the way I saw it, this film was a mix of the first two Evil Dead movies. This film has a little bit of “Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn” in there, as well. Even though Sam Raimi, didn’t direct this one, and he was one of the producers, this film was still done in his style. So Fede Alvarez, obviously had a lot of help from Sam in this movie. You’re not going to see too much comedy in this film. This film wanted to focus more on the horror part of things. The goal here was to make this film a true horror film, and it was!!! This film isn’t a remake or a prequel. It is actually a continuation, taken years after the first one. There are signs throughout the film, that Ash has been in the cabin previously. This film does a wonderful job explaining how the cabin turned out to be. Getting haunted by the Deadites.

For the sequel, I hope they don’t ignore the comedy stuff completely, ’cause it was the horror/comedy bits, that is what made these films work. Even though, this film was more focused on horror, there is still bits of humor here and there. Just not too much. It’s just a new EVIL DEAD movie, using today’s technology of filming. Just a word of advice though, this film is not for the weak stomach at all. There are some major gross outs that’ll make you almost want to throw up or look away from the screen. The gore looked pretty good and more realistic looking too. Most gore in horror films have been pretty bad, but this film makes the gore look good.

The cabin and set design is very similar of the first two Evil Dead flicks. The same place that Ash was at previously, until he got thrown into a different world (the Army of Darkness world where he got sent to). So it wouldn’t make sense at all if Ash did return to the cabin for this movie. That would be a problem. Other than that, this was a pretty amazing flick. Like I said, I haven’t had so much fun watching a horror film in a long time! It is a great introduction to the Evil Dead franchise. Whether you’re a longtime fan, or a newbie, this will attract new fans to the older movies, which is the goal here.

I’m already looking forward to the sequel here. Two thumbs up for this movie. I will definitely buy the Blu Ray when it comes out.

First Elmo, and now Charlie Brown…

What is it with actors behind legendary characters that children love getting in trouble with the law? First Elmo, and now Charlie Brown. This has got to really hurt the children who love those movies, “Charlie Brown Christmas” and “A Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”. I used to love those movies as a child myself and still love them. It’s just that proof that not all actors who work for children’s entertainment are perfect people. They’re gonna turn out to be whack jobs and troubled people years later. Who’s gonna be next? Kermit? Burt & Ernie? Homer Simpson? LOL!

More on the story, here.

Congratulations to Sam, Bruce, and Rob on success of new “Evil Dead” film!!!

I’m pretty proud of these guys. The new “Evil Dead” movie, is the #1 movie in America just over the weekend. I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m going to see it today at a different mall. The original trilogy didn’t do very well in the box office back in the day, but their new “Evil Dead” film, became a hit. So that means, there’s going to be more new, “Evil Dead”, films. I read somewhere that Sam plans on making a sequel to “Army Of Darkness” (Evil Dead 4), still where it leaves off from the last one. So hopefully, Bruce decides to return as Ash in the, “Army of Darkness” sequel, ’cause it would make a whole lot of sense.

Like I said, I definitely plan on seeing the new “Evil Dead” later this afternoon, and will review it when I get back. I’m probably gonna end up liking it a lot.

I love horror flicks. I love the Evil Dead trilogy and Bruce Campbell. I’ll let you know what I think of the new Evil Dead film. I haven’t seen a new film in a theater in a long while ’cause the movie theater closed down at the mall that’s near me, so I’m going to a different one today. I’ve been wanting to see the new “Evil Dead” film, ever since this project was first announced, and it can’t wait for the Blu Ray release.

Discussing politics with people online…

It’s pretty amazing to me how people respond to my political beliefs. As some of you probably already know, I’m a die hard Republican and Conservative. I vow to stay on the Conservative side, ’cause I believe in it. While it’s interesting that people respond to my political beliefs, it’s also a pain in the ass at the same time. If you’ve noticed in my blog over the years, I totally believe everything in the right wing. Opposing to same sex marriage, supporting the 2nd amendment (and also the rest of the Constitution), me being anti-Obama, believing in smaller government, less regulation, less government spending, believing in tax cuts, being against abortion, and all that stuff. Just anything that has to do with personal responsibility and believing in this country, while all the left cares about are human rights and equal opportunity.

Hey, nothing wrong with human rights and equal opportunity, ya know? I’m all fine and good with that. It’s just that I really care about country first, kind of stuff. Anything that society sides with, I’m probably gonna be against. Of course, when you have a different opinion and different political views than the liberals, you’re all of a sudden looked at as a bad person. They don’t like others having different views.

I’ve been doing so much reading and studying on History & US Government stuff, so yeah I’ve been a big political buff for the past several years or so, if you can tell. I’ve been trying to brush up politics, studying, researching, and just trying to get a better understanding of it all. I find that I enjoy staying on the right. Why? Because I believe that’s where I fit in and where I belong. Notice how I support politicians who are Republicans (Conservative) people. Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Mitt, Santorum, Rubio, McCain, etc. I feel no shame believing in the right wing of politics. That stuff is more important than human rights/equal opportunity. I’m more interested in fixing our broken government and improving our country.

I don’t like left wingers, I truly don’t. You don’t agree with them, they’ll fight, and fight, and fight, and fight with you about it, non stop. They’ll think they’re right on everything too. It’s hard to debate with ’em but it’s kind of fun, at the same time. I like getting them fired up. I just try my best to tell my part of the truth.

Kev

I know I have been slowing down on the blogging but…

… I’ll try to blog a lot more. It’s just that I have been spending time doing other things. Like guitar playing, practicing my singing, working out at the gym, doing some reading, etc. I guess, I’m slowly starting to get bored of the blog and figure, I needed to do more important things. Things that are more worth while, and do good things in my life, ya know? There are things in my life off the computer, that needs improved on. I’ve just been doing other things. I’m trying to improve my musical talent and all that stuff.

Trying to get the songwriting thing going again. I’ve been keeping myself busy off the computer.

As for the album reviews by bands, here is another thing I need to get off my chest. The albums that come in by unsigned bands. I know there’s going to be stuff coming in, that I’m not gonna like or don’t even care for their music. I don’t know whether or not I should write negative critiques about it, or just ignore the bad albums that come in. I don’t have to ignore the bad albums that come in, so I’ll do my best to write those critiques as positive and respectful as possible. Try not to sound too hateful about it. After all, that’s what a critic does right? That’s their job. Keep things real and honest. If it’s good, they’ll write about it. If it isn’t, they’ll write about it. If bands send me albums, I don’t like, I’ll just do my best, so I won’t hurt them. You can  tell my reviews are already a little honest by the first three I just did. So it’s all good. Bands shouldn’t be hurt by negative reviews, though. They should be professional enough to take it that it’s just an opinion. They should know that bad publicity can sometimes be good publicity. Bands can’t please everyone right?

When I say I LOVE a band’s music, I don’t say just to try to be nice and polite. I say I love a band’s music ’cause I really mean it by heart. I’m real honest about music and it’s good to keep it that way. Nothing wrong with it at all.
