Report: Jeff Hardy is finally World Champion!!!

WWE Superstar, Jeff Hardy, is finally world champion. I watched last night’s “Armageddon” ppv and it was actually pretty good.

The best matches of the night were: Vladmir Kozlov vs. Matt Hardy, Randy Orton vs. Dave Batista, and the World Champ match with Triple H vs. Edge vs. Jeff Hardy in a triple threat.

And Shawn Michaels HBK turned heel by teaming up with JBL, which is going to be awesome!!!

It was a decent ppv last night. I liked it.

Cool Video: An Iraqi reporter throws shoes at George W. Bush at final Iraq visit…

George W. Bush got heckled at his final visit in Iraq. An angry Iraqi reporter, threw a couple of shoes at our president but guess what? Dubya ducked both of them!!!

See the video at TMZ here:

http://www.tmz.com/2008/12/14/bush-who-throws-a-shoe-honestly/#comments

This will be all over Saturday Night Live and the late night talk shows, indeed.

The Iraqi shoe thrower should have waited until Dubya wasn’t paying attention, so the shoes can actually hit him and knock him out.

Report: The Muppets return to TV this Wednesday night…

This Wednesday night at 8 p.m. on NBC, the peacock station will air ,”A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa”, which marks a huge return of the Muppets to TV. Will the show get strong ratings for this one? We’ll have to wait and see. I personally think this is a test to see if America still cares for the Muppets, since there is a new Muppet movie in the works.

I’ll indeed be watching since I love the Muppet characters and they deserve a huge comeback. The last few Muppet movies were terrible failures in the box office. Lets hope the new upcoming Muppet movie will live up to the “Great Muppet Caper” and “The Muppets Take Manhatten” which are the two best Muppet films.

Animal and Gonzo has always been my favorite characters out of the whole gang.

Does anyone out there enjoy the Muppets still? Sound it off in the comments below.

Cool Video: Amy Poehler’s SNL goodbye message…

Last night was Amy Poehler’s final show on SNL and she did a special goodbye message on the Weekend  Update.

See it here:

http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/update-amys-goodbye/881441/

It’s sad to see her go. Amy was one of the last remaining big name star on SNL and now the show has no big name stars with her being gone. Which is good. It’ll give other new SNL stars a chance to become a big name.

Which SNL star could possibly become the next big name? Andy Sandberg is heading up there. So is Seth Myers.

I see Amy Poehler doing more appearances on “30 Rock” with her friend Tina Fey. So I don’t see Amy leaving NBC for good. Not too worries.

Confirmed: Chris Weitz to direct “New Moon”…official…

“The Golden Compass” director, Chris Weitz, has signed with Summit Entertainment to direct “New Moon”, the sequel to “Twilight”. This means it is official. He is the next director, replacing Catherine Hardwicke.

Variety Reports:

I have mixed feelings about this, I don’t like the director choice. I do like the idea of a man directing the next Twilight movie though, I wish Summit would take their time, finding the right director. “The Golden Compass” was a terrible failure and that film didn’t look good at all. Weitz will probably fuck up “New Moon” too. I hope he makes the sequel better than the first but I doubt it.

Report: Jennifer Hudson NOT going back to work…

Reported not too long ago, Jennifer Hudson, announced she is going back to work on a music video to one of her songs. It turns out, it isn’t true and it’s just speculation. Her reps say that she has talked about going back to work, to finish what she started, but she realizes, she isn’t ready and it’s too soon. From the looks of things, she is still too heartbroken and emotional with the deaths of her closest family members.

More on it here:

http://www.usmagazine.com/news/jennifer-hudson-cancels-video-shoot

Sadly, I don’t see her going back to work on music and filming movies anytime soon. It’s going to be a long while. It could take a year or more. If you lose more than one of your closest family members in your life, it’ll take a long time to get over. In fact, I don’t see how anybody can get over this at all.

It’ll be tough for Jennifer to decide when she’ll go back to work. Question is, will  Jennifer be able to pick up her Grammy award if she wins one? Those are things to think about. I don’t see Jennifer going back to her career for a long time.

I think she’ll be ready to come back to work once the killer of her family members is found and put away behind bars for life. Even if the killer isn’t William Balfour, the real killer could possibly still be out in the running and the killer could be after Jennifer too.

This is why it isn’t a good idea at all for Jennifer to go back to work this soon for her own protection and safety.

Report: UFC fighter, Randy Couture is casted in Stallone’s “Expendables”!!!

It is no secret to me that Sylvester Stallone is a huge fan of UFC. Stallone just casted legendary UFC fighter, Randy Couture, in “The Expendables”.

AintItCool exclusively breaks the news, they also confirm that Forrest Whittaker is also casted.

AintItCool reports:

Looking great so far, Sly!!!

This movie will be a fun action ride. When this movie comes out in the future, expect UFC to promote it pretty heavily since Randy is in it.

Report: Stephen King picks his top ten best films of 2008!!!

Stephen King, the master of horror, has picked his top ten favorite films of 2008. When it comes to Stephen King, you would expect him to see nothing but horror films. Not true, in his list, you would see a variety of genres from action flicks, drama, family films, etc. He seems to be a big fan of Jason Statham, because he listed two Statham flicks in there.

It’s not surprising that he picked “The Dark Knight” as no 1. I agree with him, the movie is not only good just for Heath Ledger’s performance alone, the entire movie itself is a masterpiece.

Stephen King just released “Just After Sunset” novel in bookstores everywhere.

See his list here:

Thought: More reasons why the Academy picked Hugh Jackman as host for the Oscars…

1. “The Dark Knight” will be huge for the Oscars, since Hugh Jackman has experience playing a comic book superhero character, he played Wolverine in the X-Men trilogy and he is also starring in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, a film where Wolverine gets his own movie. The Academy figures this will help hype up “The Dark Knight” for the Oscars if Jackman hosted the show.

2. Hugh Jackman does have award hosting experience, he hosted the Tony Awards a couple of times, an award show for theatre. He hosted the Tony awards around the time when Jackman did the play “The Boy From Oz”.

3. Other than a film actor, Hugh Jackman is a theatre actor as well. He goes back and forth from theatre to films. Jackman has done musicals on stage and he can sing, I imagine the Ocars hired him for the host so he can do a singing segment to open the Oscars and to tell some jokes as well. Will he do X-Men the musical? LOL!!!

See the videos of Hugh Jackman hosting the Tony Awards below.

Report: 1, 2 Freddy’s coming for you 3,4 Better lock your door 5, 6 The reboot is a go 7,8 Shooting will begin this Spring 9, 10 Never sleep again

Platinum Dunes is definitely moving forward to the “Nightmare on Elm St.” remake, as they just got the greenlight with Warner Bros. and New Line. “Cape Fear” writer Wesley Strick will pen the script. Shooting will begin this Spring right away, and they will film in the Chicago suburbs. The greenlight was due to the fact that the “Friday the 13th” remake has got positive feedback.

The question is, will Robert Englund be back as Freddy? The answer is no, of course, but it is possible that Englund will have a role but not as the Freddy character.

Expect Platinum Dunes to find an actor for Freddy Krueger very quickly since filming will start this Spring, so hope they find somebody good.

More on it here:

http://shocktillyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=8835

Hope they do a good job with the Freddy remake and hope they find the right actor for Freddy. Sure, there can’t be a Freddy movie without Robert Englund, but the dude is getting too old to play the character. My bet, is that I think they’ll find a Robert Englund look alike to play Freddy. It’ll probably be an unkown actor, not a big name star.
