Bruce Dickinson, singer of Iron Maiden to release memoir on Oct. 19th of this year…

Iron Maiden has went through many different singers over the years but I’ve always thought Bruce Dickinson is their best singer… that’s because Bruce is Iron Maiden. Bruce’s voice fits the band’s style of music perfectly. I’m a huge Iron Maiden fan and have been listening to them for quite a long while. I don’t have a lot of albums by them but just a couple of them — I’m trying to get into their music more, though. The only Iron Maiden albums I have by them are: “Fear of the Dark”, “The Book of Souls”, “The Final Frontier” and I have an “Anthology” 2 disc greatest hits album by them. I’m definitely planning on getting more Maiden albums ’cause my respect for them is immense.

As you can see above, Dickinson is releasing a memoir/autobiography on Oct.  19th of this year. I’m sure he’ll talk about topics like how he joined Iron Maiden, how he got into singing, his love for flying airplanes, tongue cancer and all that stuff. I’m sure it will be a pretty interesting book to read ’cause Bruce is an interesting guy. If you’ve read or have seen Bruce’s interviews with the music press, you would know that he’s smart and interesting. I like Bruce ’cause he’s an honest guy. If you’re one of those people who can’t take brutal truth then you’re probably not gonna like him. That’s why I like Bruce, he just says what’s on his mind and he doesn’t give a fuck. He maybe an outspoken guy but he seems like a nice man, though.

I’m definitely gonna buy this book. I’m sure he’ll go on an autograph tour for it too.

It’s official… United States is the fattest country in the world… not surprising really…

With fast food restaurants (and non-fast food restaurants) all over the place, healthy food being more expensive than junk food, people having a problem with drinking alcohol (yes, drinking alcohol makes you fat, get over it)… I’m not really surprised that the US turned out to be the fattest country in the world. Sure other countries has an obesity problem too but the US is the worst.

In this country, you see an overweight person at every turn; there are even a lot of people who are kind of chubby too.

Top takeaways from marathon Senate hearing on Afghanistan failures

I’m not against people who are obese but I find it sad that the mere fact that America has an obesity problem. You don’t see too many people who are thin or in pretty good shape these days. I’m not a fat person at all and I feel grateful for that.

Whenever we talk about this problem, people will scream: “you’re fat shaming”. We’re not fat shaming at all. Just speaking the truth and telling it like it is. The reason a lot of people in America are obese ’cause they don’t live prolific lifestyles. Just lazy people who don’t exercise and eat a lot of garbage. People get mad at that ’cause they can’t take the truth.

You wonder why the bodybuilding and fitness industry is so mainstream, right? While I’m glad bodybuilding and fitness is huge in America — only problem is a lot of people don’t want to work out. People either hate working out or simply not interested. I try my best to try to talk people into working out and many just don’t care, lol. That’s okay ’cause I love working out. I take it seriously and dedicated. Working out can be a lot of fun once you get into it. I love it. You should too.

Justin Bieber cancelling the rest of his tour to relax and have some time for himself is pretty dumb, this kid is an egomaniac…

Justin Bieber cancelling the rest of his 14 date tour just to relax and have some free time for himself. Really? That is absurd and really arrogant of him to do as well. This caused his fans to be infuriated and they’re disappointed in him too. Is there a special reason for him to cancel the tour suddenly? Apparently, no. He felt that he was burnt out; and he just wanted a long break. That’s pretty much it really. There’s nothing wrong with him or anything.

http://www.tmz.com/2017/07/24/justin-bieber-talks-about-canceling-purpose-tour/

I think the kid is a bit of an egomaniac and narcissist for sure. I don’t think he’s into the music business for the fame or the fans… I think he’s just into it for the money alone. The kid is so rich that he doesn’t need to work in the music business if he doesn’t want to.

You see, being a professional performer and touring artist is a pretty big responsibility. Just ask the guys in Metallica. The boys in Metallica doesn’t believe in taking vacations or long breaks. Metallica tours pretty heavily all year and all year round. When they do decide to take a break, the band will hit the studio to make a new a record. There’s no slowing down with Metallica at all.

It’s sad what the kind of music kids are listening to nowadays. When I was a kid.. I was listening to stuff like the Monkees, Twisted Sister, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Jethro Tull, The Talking Heads, The Knack, The Clash, Elvis, U2, Springsteen, Sammy Hagar, Van Halen, etc. I was listening to real music.

I find it sad when I see young kids going to Justin Bieber concerts or when I hear young kids singing his songs and seeing them wearing his t-shirts too. It’s not hard getting kids into real music. It’s not hard to tell them what music they should or they shouldn’t be listening to.

It may not seem like it but there are plenty of young children out there who are into rock & metal which is why a lot of young kids play guitar and other instruments… that’s because they have smarter parents.

John McCain slammed the hell out of Obamacare on the Senate floor today, liberals tear him apart on twitter…

If you want to know what being “courageous” is, this is it right here. Sen. John McCain was just diagnosed with brain cancer and battling something serious but that didn’t stop him from coming back to the Senate to fight against something serious. It’s not stopping him from speaking his mind and doing something for the American people. To me that is very heroic and I think McCain just won over my respect again. You can love or hate McCain all you want to, this was pretty ballsy of him to do. When you have something serious like brain cancer, you need to take it easy and rest but McCain doesn’t believe in that. This man is a fighter and this is proof of that. He knows what making sacrifices is like and he just did that here. This man doesn’t care what condition he is in… when he’s ready to deliver a message to the American people, he’ll do it.

I’m sure his doctors advised him not to go ’cause he needed his rest and all that stuff but he wasn’t having it so he went back to work anyways. Bravo, Senator McCain! He wanted to do something important for the American people and he wasn’t going to sit home and watch the diabolical Obamacare continue to destroy America. Obamacare sucks and it’s gotta go. Hopefully it gets repealed this week and we can finally say RIP to the ACA. I hope and pray that Republicans do the right thing. All we can do is cross our fingers for now.

Liberals think John McCain is such a hero… well, how do you like him now? I’m now seeing liberals on twitter ripping McCain apart. Funny after seeing liberals feeling sorry for McCain after Trump allegedly saying that he’s no war hero (if you believe that Trump actually said that, you’re so naive and dumb).

This is the McCain I want to see: him fighting for the American people. I used to dislike McCain ’cause he’s such a RINO, siding with liberals on a lot of things. I think McCain did real good this time. Thank you, Senator!

Release date set for “Bond 25″… we won’t see another Bond movie until Nov. of 2019…

Contrary to reports that claimed Daniel Craig is returning to Bond 25, it is not yet clear on whether or not he will return… if he was confirmed to come back then the studios would have announced it themselves. A release date set for Bond 25 will be Nov. 8th in 2019. A couple of writers has been confirmed and producer has been confirmed as well.

No director has been named yet so that basically means that Sam Mendes is definitely out; he won’t be directing the third one. This also means that a new director will have to be signed for the director’s chair for the next installment.

Will Daniel Craig return? Don’t know… he hasn’t said anything yet but I’m sure we’ll hear from him soon. I hope Daniel returns for one more ’cause I really like him as Bond. Daniel is more exciting to watch than Pierce Brosnan. The only Pierce 007 movie I liked was “GoldenEye”; that film was actually a very good one!

Anyhow, no cast has been confirmed yet for Bond 25 but I’m positive Ralph Fiennes will return as M and I’m sure Naomi Harris will return as Moneypenny.

I do hope the writers will bring Christoph Waltz back as Blofeld ’cause that was a phenomenal performance. I think Bond 25 should be a continuation of Spectre and think it would be an interesting concept. The movie “Spectre” was a new introduction of Blofeld, giving you a hint that the character will appear in more films.

Today’s country music sucks and it’s getting worse too… country music today is like listening to Britney Spears and Justin Bieber these days…

I listen to all types of music: Rock, metal, blues, jazz, rap, pop, etc. I listen to pretty much all music except for today’s country. Ugggghhhh, I hate today’s country. The reason I hate today’s country music ’cause it all sounds pretty repetitive… aka all sounding the same. It’s true. Country music doesn’t sound like country music anymore and it’s pissing me off.

How much do you want to bet that all these young kids that listen to today’s country don’t even listen to classic country? Do people in today’s generation of country music even listen to artists like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Hank Sr., Merle Haggard, Jimmie Rodgers, George Jones, early Loretta Lynn, Buck Owens, etc.

When it comes to Johnny Cash, I’m sure young people have heard of him; I bet they just listen to his newer American recordings and never his classic songs. They probably just know him by “Folsom Prison Blues”, “Ring of Fire” and “Walk the Line” and that’s it. Johnny has a lot more amazing classic songs with songs such as “Cocaine Blues”, “Ghost Riders in the Sky”, “Don’t Take Your Guns To Town” and “Jackson” (in which he duets with June Carter with). Mostly older folks would know all those songs. Ask any 20 year old so-called country fan if they heard “Ghost Riders in the Sky” or “Cocaine Blues” and I bet they’ll say, “no”. Sad isn’t? That’s what the country music industry wants to do… they want to get people’s minds off the older country and evolve into something different.

These days people are listening to garbage like Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flats, Dierks Bentley and shit like that. Blech. Not country to me. Listening to that stuff to me is like listening to Britney Spears and Justin Bieber almost. That’s what today’s country music sounds like… pop music. If you want to listen to real country, listen to the older stuff.

Admittedly, I used to listen to country music when I was young but I was listening to true country like some of the artists I listed above… I also listened to some Clint Black, Randy Travis, George Strait and Hal Ketchum over the years. I also listened to some Reba McEntire and even saw her in concert once.

Don’t get me wrong… there are a few modern country artists who I find talented like Toby Keith I actually like — I can listen to some Toby Keith — he’s actually very talented. Good singer and songwriter. Keith Urban is pretty good and so is Brad Paisley.

George Strait is one country artist who never changed that “country” sound… he still sounds the same after all these years which is good. I remember George wrote a song called “Kicked Outta Country” which is about the direction the country music industry was headed. The industry had a hard time accepting George ’cause he’s still sounding way too “country”. Youtube that song if you want to hear it.

It’s hard finding good country music these days. The industry won’t stop the country/pop trend… they’ll do whatever makes them the big money and this genre is unfortunately, making them big money. They’re doing all they can to ignore “true” country music which is why they’re trying to act like George Strait never existed. They’re trying to dominate the pop & rap scene is what they’re trying to do. It’s a competition for sure.

I used to be a country fan but I still love to listen to Johnny Cash, Patsy and Hank Sr. Listening to them never gets old. Next time you talk to a young country fan about country music and if they say they’re a fan of Florida Georgia Line or some dumb shit like that point them out to either Johnny, Patsy or Hank Sr. Get them to listen to real country instead of today’s junk.

Full “Justice League” trailer is finally out and it looks freakin’ awesome! Hell yeah!!!

While San Diego Comic Con is underway this weekend, WB’s decided to drop the “Justice League” trailer today. So here it is, the full trailer for “Justice League”.

I’m pretty impressed with it really. I really liked “Man of Steel”, “Wonder Woman” and “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice”. I thought all three were great flicks! All three of those films were leading up to the “Justice League” film. While all the advertisements omitted Superman, I believe they finally included him in this trailer above. The trailer teases Superman’s return. I believe that’s who Alfred was talking to when he was talking to a character “off-screen”… that was Clark Kent/Superman who Alfred was talking to; that was Henry Cavill’s voice, indeed.

So when are we actually going to see Superman in action in the film? Probably not until the very end of the movie I would say. Throughout the movie, they would keep teasing that Superman is alive and then we’ll see him at the end. Superman will join the Justice League group at the end of the movie. It’s not really a “spoiler” ’cause everybody probably knows that’s what’s going to happen anyways.

Anyhow, I’m pretty stoked for the movie. This is one movie that I’m most anticipated for this year other than “Star Wars: Episode 8”, “Stephen King’s The Dark Tower”, “IT” and “Jigsaw” (Saw 8).

Can’t wait for “Justice League”. Definitely going to see this one.

Dealing with haters when you’re a musician…

I remember in 2006, that’s the year when I first started performing my music publicly. I recorded a 9 song demo which I released publicly right away. I recorded a 9 song acoustic demo — which you can hear my music here by the way, the first 9 songs is my demo — hoping to get gigs so I can play out at local bars, cafes/diners and music festivals… things like that,  ya know? Back in the day, I used to gig a lot. Played almost every venue in the Capital District and even a few small festivals. I didn’t have any interviews for the press or anything but I did get an interview for FM radio once (sorry, the interview wasn’t recorded, wishing it was).

After I started performing my music publicly, I sparked a lot of controversy for whatever reason. I started getting a lot of internet haters like mad. People were attacking me in message boards, youtube and facebook. It was crazy, ya know? People were attacking me everywhere. Even other local bands and local musicians were getting onto it.

I used to have a problem responding to internet haters and defending myself each time but over the years, I’ve learned to stay above ’em by ignoring them most of the time. I’m sure I still get “haters” and people in this area still do write me hateful things for no reason but I just ignore that stuff now. “Ignoring” is a powerful tool and it’s not hard to do.

I love what this guy said in this video at the end is that when you get a ton of haters and people trolling you for no reason, see it as a sign of success which is so true. It seems that each time I release a new batch of songs every now and then, I get trolled by a bunch of losers. Happens every time.

Why is that musicians get so many haters? Is it because they’re jealous of your success? Jealous that you’re a good musician and they aren’t? Maybe a combination of both? I almost gave up playing music live and releasing songs ’cause of all the negativity that I got through the Capital District music scene but I’m realizing that I should never have. That’s what they want you to do. You can’t cave in the haters. If you want to play music, you’ve got to say to them, “Fuck all of you… I love what I do and I’m not stopping for you.” That’s the right attitude to have. People scorned me pretty badly in this area. Creating anonymous accounts to attack me and all kinds of crazy shit.

I’ve learned to cope with it all, though and now I feel stronger than ever. I’m totally above the haters now. They don’t bother me anymore like they used to.

I’ve always believed that I’ve been overlooked and neglected in the music scene but that’s okay. I don’t do this for fame or popularity. I play music ’cause I enjoy doing it and that’s all you should care about. Fuck what people think of you, ya know? Fuck people and just play your music. That’s all you need to do!

I’m still planning to write new songs again and drive the haters crazy even more. Stay tuned.

Sly Stallone writing the script for “Creed 2″… he really is bringing Ivan Drago back…

This is how Sly writes his scripts. I guess he writes them on regular notebook paper and then he types them into a word processor on a computer. Sly didn’t write the first “Creed” movie but it looks like they’re giving him the opportunity to write the 2nd one himself. So is Ryan Coogler still going to direct the 2nd one? Probably. Coogler will direct, Sly will write.

I guess he’s really going for an Ivan Drago comeback and Dolph will probably reprise the role. Is Ivan Drago going to fight Adonis Creed in the film? We’ll have to wait and see.

Suicide is on the rise in the entertainment industry… fame isn’t easy…

Director Tony Scott, Robin Williams, Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, Kurt Cobain and I’m sure there are many others… wow. I know it’s kind of crazy, right? What I find sad is that some people out there want to bash people that commit suicide… ya know saying things like: “It’s selfish”, “They’re a coward”, etc. People nowadays don’t have compassion anymore. Some people want to have a neglectful attitude when it comes to people who go suicidal or have committed suicide.

Depression is real and it’s pretty serious. If you know someone who is depressed, you need to get them help ’cause they could end up like those people I listed. Get them to call a suicide hotline or get them to see a psychiatrist or whatever.

I wasn’t a big Linkin Park fan; I never bought any of their albums but I heard pretty much all their hits on the radio over the years so I am familiar with that band. It’s still sad to lose Chester Bennington, though so my heart goes out to his family, friends and the surviving members of Linkin Park.

Suicide is definitely on the rise in the entertainment industry and it’s becoming quite a problem. Why? Is it because of fame & fortune that overwhelmed them? That’s probably a big factor for sure, no doubt. Maybe they’re also having personal problems with their families and all that stuff. There are many different reasons why famous people commit suicide. Sometimes fame & fortune has nothing to do with it. They just had a difficult life growing up and that’s what it is.

Again, I wasn’t a big Linkin Park fan but it’s always sad to lose someone whether in the movie industry or music industry. RIP Chester.

Something’s gotta be done about suicide in America. It’s not just happening in the world of fame; it happens to real people too. I’m sure you’ve lost people due to suicide yourself. It’s happening all over this country. We need to stop suicide in America… it’s gonna be tough but it can be done.
