Report: “The Dark Tower” TV series will be aired on HBO, but as for the big screen movie, not sure yet…

While promoting the “Tower Heist” movie, Brian Grazer just said, “The Dark Tower” TV series will be aired on HBO. Since Universal dropped out of making the movies for the big screen, Brian Grazer and Ron Howard still haven’t found a movie studio for the films, but they are still looking.

MTV Movies Blog, reports.

HBO is a great network for the show, but it will be a big competition with other popular shows on that station. Shows like “Game of Thrones”, “True Blood”, and “Boardwalk Empire”. I don’t see how “The Dark Tower” is going to top any of those shows, it’ll be hard. “The Dark Tower” shouldn’t be aired on a Sunday night like a few of those shows are being aired on. I think “The Dark Tower” show should be aired on either Thursday or Friday night.

Another question I have is, Javier Bardem is confirmed to play Roland The Gunslinger. Will he still play Roland for the TV series as well? That’s a lot of acting.

Report: Lindsay Lohan finally agreed to pose for Playboy???

Lindsay’s been turning down Playboy repeatedly over the years, but it looks like she is finally up for it. Well, she’s gotta find work somewhere since she isn’t being accepted in the Hollywood business, right? I would call this a “rumor” for now, so don’t believe it as of yet. I won’t believe anything until I see a Playboy magazine with her on the cover at newsstands.

More on the story, here.

If this turns out true, I’m sure this will be the biggest selling Playboy issue of all time. Even if she is the most hated celebrity in America, people won’t resist this magazine. I know a lot of people are going to buy it out of curiosity.

I’ll definitely buy it if it’s for real.

BREAKING NEWS: “Grand Theft Auto V” finally announced!!!!

Well, Rockstar games finally announced, “Grand Theft Auto V”. The teaser will be released, Nov. 2nd. Details and the plot for the next installment are being kept under wraps for now, but we will know everything when the trailer is out.

My question is, will Niko Bellick return? “Grand Theft Auto IV” was a major hit and Niko Bellick (voiced by Michael Hollick) became one of the most popular video game characters of all time. Hopefully, Nikko returns as your playable character.

“Grand Theft Auto IV” was a pretty good game but it was too easy and a piece of cake. Hopefully the next game will be more challenging and difficult. Hopefully it will have a lot more missions than the last game, ’cause I remember the last game was kind of short.

Things that piss me off in a gym…

When you workout in a public gym, you’re going to experience a lot of things that are going to piss you off. I’ve been there. People are crazy at gyms.

What are things that piss me off at a public gym? Here’s a short list:

  • Equipment Hogging – There are guys in gyms that spend way more than a half hour on the same equipment. If I need to use something, and some guy is taking forever to use it. That drives me crazy.
  • People not taking their weights back to where they belong – One time I had to use a leg press a while back, and the leg press machine was already full of 45 lb weight plates that I had to take off myself because the person that was using it before didn’t bother to put them back themselves. This drives me crazy too.
  • Weight dropping – Earlier today, there was a guy doing dumbbell chest presses on a bench near to where I was working out. He was like lifting 50 – 60 lb dumbbells around that, when he gets done with his set, he just drops them to the floor, making a loud crashing sound. There’s no reason to drop the weights. Just bring them down slowly and easily, then set them on the floor. Handle weights with care. I think the reason guys drop weights to the floor is not because they are heavy, it’s because it’s an ego kind of thing. They want to think of themselves like, “Gggggrrrrr, I’m tough, so I need to show it in front of everybody”. I lifted heavy dumbbells before, and I never drop them. If they are heavy for you, get a spotter. Of course, most won’t get a spotter. They think they’re tough without a spotter too.
  • People trying to start a conversation with me during my workouts – Hello people, I’m working out. Shut up and leave me alone. I need my concentration, thanks.
Well, that’s pretty much it. Usually the public gym is pretty cool, but sometimes things happen that drives me crazy. That’s what you get when you go to a public place, though.

Report: Warner Bros. announced no more Harry Potter DVD/Blu Rays after Dec. 29th…

Warner Bros. just released a shocking press release saying that they will pull all Harry Potter films off the shelves and will no longer release future projects. Yes, that even includes, “The Deathly Hollows part 2”. They will do this starting, Dec. 29th. Warner Bros. refuses to explain why in their press release.

Read it here, at Deadline.

These Harry Potter films made billions of dollars over the years and they helped make J.K. Rowling become one of the richest women in the world because of them. Now they are trashing DVD/Blu Ray releases of Harry Potter?

How are fans are going to watch Harry Potter after, Dec. 29th?

I’m a Harry Potter fan myself, loved the books and the movies. Did Warner Bros. make a deal with Netflix to make the Harry Potter films streamable?

Report: Ben Affleck and Matt Damon re-teaming for Whitey Bulger biopic…

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon haven’t done anything new together since 1997’s, “Good Will Hunting”, in which they both won an Oscar for, “Best Screenplay”. The two best friends will finally get together again for the big screen. They will take on the story of Whitey Bulger, the notorious mob boss from Boston, who was just captured in California, earlier this year.

The script will be written by “Boardwalk Empire”, creator and writer, Terrence Winter. Ben Affleck will direct and co-star as Whitey Bulger. Matt Damon will have a role as well. Warner Bros. also asked Ben if he’ll direct a new version of Stephen King’s “The Stand” but Ben has not yet responded if he will or not. I have a feeling that Ben will not direct, “The Stand” due to agreeing with the Whitey Bulger project instead.

Deadline, reports.

Very nice! I really enjoyed that movie, “The Town”. I’m not much of a Ben Affleck fan either, but “The Town” was awesome. I think that was his best movie in a long time. I’m sure Ben will make the Whitey Bulger movie violent and action packed as well.

Ben and Matt’s been best friends for years, they grew up together. Nice to see them do something again, finally.

Thinking about bringing the “Evil Fred” concept album back to life…

About 5 or 6 years ago, I had plans of doing an “Evil Fred” concept album. Do an album full of songs about the Evil Fred fictional character that I created. Well this Lou/’Tallica “Lulu” project inspired me to bring that project back. I trashed the big “Evil Fred’ project in the past ’cause I figure it was going to be way too dark and controversial. It might create a big stir on the internet. Considering that Lou/’Tallica’s “Lulu” worked for them, I figure this “Evil Fred” project is going to work for me.

This “Evil Fred” project won’t be released on an official album or anything (since I can’t afford professional CD production), it’ll be an internet exclusive release. I just started re-writing the “Evil Fred” song this week and that also inspired me to bring it back.

I’ll upload video of myself performing, the “Evil Fred” re-write this week in time before Halloween, hopefully.

Admittedly I’ve been on a writer’s block of original songs which is one of the reasons I haven’t released anything in a while, but I’ve just inspired to get motivated on this “Evil Fred” project again.

Report: Oasis to reunite in 2015???

Noel Gallagher has been talking about reforming, Oasis, in interviews for quite a long while, and it seems that his brother, Liam, maybe up for it. Liam spoke to Rollingstone magazine, saying that he’s down for an Oasis reunion, however, he says they need to have a two way respect. Both brothers want to reunite, Oasis, in time before the “What’s the Story Morning Glory” 20th Anniversary for a possible tour.

I love it when Liam just said about Noel:

“I want to put him out of his misery. But I think he needs to do his solo thing first and realize he’s not that good without his brother. He’s got to find out for himself. I’m up for it – I’m not desperate for it. If it doesn’t work out, I don’t give a shit, I’m quite happy with [current band] Beady Eye.”

Well Liam, look like your brother just made a no. 1 record with his new solo album, “High Flying Birds“. I think Noel is going to do just fine with his solo career and have Beady Eye ever made a no. 1 record, yet? No, not that I’ve seen.

I think Liam is jealous over his own brother.

On a side note, I’ve always said that Oasis will come back, they aren’t broken up for good. They split up and reunited so many times over the years, this wasn’t the first.

Another Lou/’Tallica rant, about Lou’s vocals…

I don’t mean to write about this project again, but there’s something else I need to say to get off my chest. That’s the big problem with this “Lulu” album, that it’s mostly Lou’s spoken-word vocals that is getting trashed on. I think I just figured out what’s wrong here. I think it’s because that a lot of people aren’t really into this “Spoken word” genre. Ever listen to spoken word music? You mostly hear spoken word music with folk music, jazz, blues, etc. but you never hear “Spoken word” music with rock n’ roll or metal.

Gil Scot-Heron was a spoken word artist. Utah Phillips is another. You can add Henry Rollins to the list. There are plenty more.

People complain that’s Lou’s vocals all over the music ruins the album, and I ask, how? His lyrics maybe full of rage and anger, but he wanted to do that as to how Lulu felt through the plays. She was a prostitute who went through so much trouble, and Lou’s rants with the songs was his way of showing it. As long as people are complaining about his vocals, Lou certainly did a great job grabbing people’s attention. It was about emotion.

I understand the Lulu record, 100%. Not everyone hates the record, however, there are some that love it just as much as I do, that’s because they get it, and they are smart.

I don’t see how people don’t like the album. I honestly feel people didn’t even listen to the whole thing carefully. It also annoys me that people seems to have the same opinions on everything when I don’t have to be like that.

Lou’s the best storyteller, as long as he got everyone talking good or bad, the Lulu story still got a lot of attention that it deserved.
