Thought: Musicians & Bands don’t have egos????

You see this all the time in the music world. Bands & musicians complaining about other musicians having “huge egos”. Some musicians don’t want anything to do with egos of other musicians. They want to stay away from musicians who have ego problems as much as possible. You know what?

I find it pretty funny and hypocritical that bands complain about egos. Why?

Because as much as you hate to admit, we all have huge egos even if you think you don’t. That’s right, I said it. Every musician and band out there, we all have egos. That includes me as well.

Think about it. Everyone of us are desperate for more recognition, we all want to promote ourselves to death, we all want to get known and we all want our music heard. That’s not having an ego problem? Yeah, okay.

When you complain about other egos that kind of makes you an ego-maniac yourself. You think you’re better than that guy. Either that, or it kills you ’cause you can’t take it cause this musician is a better player than you.

When you want to put yourself out there as a musician, you’re gonna deal with ego-maniacal musicians all over. Best thing to do is have some balls and deal with it. Don’t let it get to you.

Netflix Pick (PS3): Lost – Season 5

Last week, I just finished, “Lost – Season 5” on Netflix. This season gets really deep into the science fiction stuff ’cause this season concentrates mostly on time travel.

As for the plot, some of the survivors have been rescued by the helicopter pilot, Frank Lapidius (Jeff Fahey) from Season 4. They go back home to the US on Charles Widmores boat. The survivors that go back home are Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley, and Desmond, but the rest of the survivors either died or stayed on the island. As the rescued survivors: Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid and Desmond tries to rebuild their lives back home, Benjamin Linus is trying to get them back together so they can go back to the island. Ben wants the survivors to go back to the island because he claims they need to take care of something so the people can be safe after bad things happened to them after Ben turned the frozen wheel from Season 4.

New characters are introduced that season like Daniel, Miles, and Charlotte who are there to help the survivors stop the time travel experiment that the DHARMA Initiative started. John Locke is appointed as new leader of The Others. Richard Alpert is also a new character introduced that season in which he plays an ageless inhabitant on the island. Richard Alpert teams up with John Locke to try and help find a mysterious man named Jacob. A character named, Horace Goodspeed is also introduced who works for the DHARMA Initiative.

This season is mostly about trying to put an end to time travel. This season is pretty entertaining, but kind of silly and whacky at the same time. I was mostly blown away by the acting of Terry O’ Quinn who plays John Locke and Michael Emerson who plays Benjamin Linus, pretty impressive acting skills by the two of them.

The writing this season can get kind of confusing at times, I guess that’s why they call the show, “Lost” because they want you to get lost with the stories. Season 5 is a good season but not the best, I still say Season 4 is the best season so far.

I’ve just started “Lost – Season 6” only watched the first episode and will watch more of it today. I’m hoping the rest of the show is good.

Report: Gwendoline Christie is Brienne, Maid of Tarth for “Game of Thrones – Season 2″…

HBO’s Game of Thrones have found their Brienne, Maid of Tarth, who is known as the wench in “Clash of Kings”, the second book of the “Song of Ice and Fire” series. Gwendoline Christie can be seen in the Terry Gilliam’s “Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassius” which is the only film she starred in her acting career. This will be her next acting gig.

The Hollywood Reporter, reports.

They better make her look ugly for the Brienne, Maid of Tarth character, ’cause that’s how she was in the second book “Clash of Kings”. She’s a skilled warrior in the book and she wants to become a knight. Catelyn orders her to escort Jaime Lannister to King’s Landing, hoping to exchange him for Catelyn’s captive daughters. Catelyn Stark was Lord Eddard’s wife. I won’t go any further with the plot points, I just wanted to give you an idea what this Brienne character is like.

I feel she’s going to be another popular character for the “Game of Thrones” series. I’m reading the third book, “Storm of Swords” and Brienne is throughout most of the third book too.

These are great books and if you haven’t started these books, you really should.

Report: Megan Fox wants to let the world know that she’s real and natural…

Most celebrity women are so fake. Most of ’em have plastic surgery, botox, or breast implants. Things like that. Megan Fox is getting fed up of being accused of having that stuff. Well she doesn’t, and the pics she just released to the internet proves it! She wants to let the world know that what you see of Megan Fox in Hollywood celebrity land, is real and natural. She’s not like most fake celebrity women.

I’ve been saying for a long time that she’s pretty natural. She just works out at the gym and eat right. That’s how I think she got the hot body.

While most of hollywood is fake, there maybe like one or two celebrity women that are real, and Meg is one of them. Congrats Meg and kudos on sticking up for yourself!

I will buy Jaycee Lee Dugard’s book but I won’t be buying Casey Anthony’s…

For a long time now in this blog, I’ve been saying that Jaycee Lee Dugard is going to write about her life while being held captive by the Garrido family. Well, this should be no surprise to everyone, I was right. She wrote a book about the story and the book will hit bookstores everywhere this coming Tuesday. Yes, I will probably buy it. I too am interested of how she lived her life with the Garrido’s and I’m sure this book will reveal it all. It’s gonna be an interesting story for sure and looking forward to reading it.

When Casey Anthony does her book (you know she’s gonna do one too), I won’t be buying it. I won’t support anything Casey Anthony does ’cause I refuse to put my money toward a child killer. I don’t care if she starts an acting career or a music career or a porn career, etc. Whatever she does, I won’t support it. Neither should everyone else.

In other book releases, the 5th book to the “Song of Ice and Fire” Series (game of thrones) titled, “Dance With Dragons” will be out Tuesday as well, so I will definitely be picking that book up for sure. This Tuesday is a good release day for books.

I love to read. It’s one of my favorite hobbies. Have been for years ever since I was a kid. I’ve always been a proud book lover.

Thought: The real reason why I haven’t written new songs in a while…writer’s block & no motivation…

The real reason why I haven’t written any new batch of songs in a long while, is because I had no motivation for songwriting. Plus, writer’s block is also another reason. While I haven’t written new songs over the past year, I have been mostly focused on trying to learn how to play guitar better and focusing on singing better too. I’ve been focused on studying guitar. Trying to learn to solo lead guitar better, learn music theory, scales & modes, improvisation, ear training, etc. I’ve been trying to learn to become a more professional guitarist. I’ve been concentrating on studying guitar more than songwriting.

As for the writer’s block part, I just had no ideas to write songs. Although I’ve written a few new songs this year like “Be Home Safe”, “Say Goodbye Osama” and “Egyptian Freedom”. That’s about it. So I’ve been reading a lot of novels, reading the current news, playing video games and watching movies, hoping to pick up inspiration again. Songwriting only happens when I’m inspired.

Hopefully soon, I’ll get motivated to start writing songs again. I guess I became bored with songwriting. Happens to musicians sometimes.

Thought: How could Casey Anthony get away with murder? I have a few observations…

Yes, the topic of whether or not Casey Anthony is guilty of murdering her own daughter, still continues to be the most talked about topic online. This discussion is everywhere, twitter and facebook. Most people think she’s guilty and think she’s got away with it. Of course, there are always going to be some supporters who think she’s innocent and will defend her no matter what people say.

Some people think it can’t be possible that murderers can have a “perfect” murder and get away with it, but yes, it can happen.

So you may ask, how could she get away with it?

I have a few observations of how she might have gotten away with it. Read up and learn.

  • Casey threw out most of the important evidence that would have proved her guilt – All the evidence in the trial wasn’t all of it. I just know there was a lot more than that. She either threw out most of it, hid the rest of it somewhere or burned it.
  • Casey had help with family & friends to cover up her crime – Could George be lying when he said he didn’t sexually abuse Casey Anthony when she was a child? Cindy was the one who called 911 to report Caylee missing and she was also the one to report to police that there could be a dead body in the car, when Caylee’s remains were actually in the wooded area by the Anthony home.
  • Casey found a way to damage DNA evidence – What made the jurors find her not guilty was that the trial could not find any DNA evidence. She had to be looking on google for “chloroform” for this reason? Chloroform is a chemical that helps isolates DNA.
  • Casey is just a good liar and expert manipulator – Enough said?
  • Casey could have used black leather gloves – A lot of killers would use leather gloves so fingerprints wouldn’t get on anything.
  • Casey paid good lawyers – She must of got really good laywers if they were able to make her a free woman.

That’s about all I can think of. Hopefully they don’t give up and continue to find ways to give Casey what she deserves. Prison time and death penalty. They’ll get her again someday, it’s only a matter of time.

BREAKING NEWS: Casey Anthony will be released from jail this coming Wednesday!!!

Casey Anthony will be released from jail this coming Wednesday. The judge sentenced her today for 4 years and a $1,000 fine for lying to police officers, but due to the 3 years past she served, they did a calculation of credit of the time she had left.

TMZ, reports.

Enjoy it, Casey. I hope everyone gives you hell everywhere you go on the outside.

This is not justice for Caylee.

Thought: Could this be Jimmy Page’s next musical project? Supergroup with Jack White and the Edge???

So let me get this straight. Jack White split up the White Stripes. The Edge is just getting done with the tour with U2, and Jimmy Page is announcing something huge on his website. Does this mean that Jimmy Page just made a new album with Jack and the Edge? I’m hoping that’s what this is, but I doubt it. Would be cool though. We’ll wait and see.
