To all you Lou Reed haters dissing the man’s talent and his legacy, I would suggest you listen to his music and the Velvet Underground before slamming him. Here are some tracks. These are all beautiful and amazingly written songs! How can people bash the Velvet Underground!  WOW! Lou Reed is a musical genius!

I’m sure you can get Lou’s greatest hits and live albums at record stores & Itunes.

In defense of Lou Reed…

Well, it seems that Lou Reed is getting some big negative backlash just because he didn’t want Susan Boyle to sing his anthem, “A Perfect Day”. Reading the comments by fans at TMZ, or perezhilton and other music websites. Lou Reed has been getting so much hate all week. Lou has been called an egomaniac has been, an old washed up loser, people even says no one knows who he is anymore and they even called, the Velvet Underground to be one of the worst bands on planet Earth. Really? Are they serious? Most music fans are siding with Susan Boyle because they feel sorry for her. Do music fans realize who they are hating on? No. I don’t think they realize who they are hating on.

This is Lou Reed. LOU FUCKING REED! This guy is a legend. He’s been in the music business for way over 30 years. This guy’s been playing in rock n’ roll bands since the 1950’s. He didn’t become famous for music until the 1960’s when he formed, The Velvet Underground, with John Cale. Back in the ’60’s when the Velvet Underground got their record deal, their fame was all because of, Andy Warhol. It was Andy Warhol who caught the attention with the music of the Velvet Underground, so he recommended a label to sign the band a record contract. When Nico joined the band, they named their first album after Andy Warhol. That album didn’t do well in record sales but there’s a big part of the legacy of that great record that people don’t understand. After they fired Nico and Andy Warhol, they continued to release albums. They didn’t become mainstream and popular until the album, “Loaded” which was an album full of hits, that album sold well.

Lou Reed had his share of failures and success in his career, but despite of that, the guy accomplished a lot in the music industry over the years. He did so much. Read his wikipedia here, all you need to know about him and the Velvet Underground.

Did Lou Reed get famous over some stupid TV reality show like Susan Boyle did? No. It wasn’t easy for him to get fame. It took him a lot of work to get there. There was no such thing as reality TV back in those days. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against Susan Boyle. She’s a decent singer and all, but all those music fans siding with her, don’t understand Lou’s legacy. Lou went through so much over the years. He did way more than Susan Boyle. The people siding with Susan Boyle, I am noticing listen to commercial and mainstream music. Maybe that’s why they don’ t know who Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground are. Kids today would listen to stuff like Susan Boyle, Rihanna or Beyonce, but they don’t understand older classic music such as the Velvet Underground.

I’ve also heard them say the Velvet Underground are terrible. Really? The Velvet Underground were one of the best rock n’ roll bands back in those days. They were fuckin’ GREAT! Lou Reed and John Cale made excellent music. I loved songs they wrote together, like “Waiting for the Man”, “Sweet Jane”, “I’ll Be Your Mirror”, etc. To those who think Susan Boyle is so great, does she play an instrument and write her own songs? No. She sings other people’s songs. The Velvet Underground never did that. They played their own instruments and wrote everything…and the Velvet Underground happened to be , “Rock and Roll” Hall of Famers!

People should respect the legends of music, not trash them. Lou Reed is an amazing songwriter. He’s still doing music to this day. I think he has a reason to not let Susan Boyle sing his song. I think he is clearly trying to protect his legacy. Since, “A Perfect Day” is a well known anthem, maybe he feels it doesn’t need to be performed on a reality show? It might ruin the legacy of the song. I’m not really sad for Susan Boyle, I’m more sad for Lou Reed ’cause a legend like him doesn’t deserve this backlash and he deserves to be respected. It’s Lou’s music, he has the right to do what he wants with it. Lou’s got my back 100%. I’ve always admired the man’s music for many years. I honestly think Lou did the right thing to not let her sing the song. Just my opinion.

9/11 was terrible but….

…this attack was pretty much our own fault. I mean think about it. Our government is broken and is angering other countries. Not only that, if you do your history research, you should know how many other countries that us Americans have bombed for no reason. So the reality is, we are the ones that are evil and we are the ones who are the terrorists. Not Osama Bin Laden or Al Qeada. What’s stopping them from doing it again as long as they are out there? Don’t you see it? Those two guys still try to attack us again. The JFK airport terminal bomb scare and the most recent terrorist attempt was the NYC Times Square car bomber not too long ago, remember that? Both were Al Qeada related. Don’t be surprised that something worse than 9/11 could happen in the near future. They keep trying but you never know they will be successful at attacking NYC but worse.

It was terrible that 9/11 happened, don’t get me wrong. We should have saw this coming a long time ago. Our country is a mess, that’s why it happened. Even Osama Bin Laden knows it, he criticized how bad our economics is many times.

I love America, yes, but I can’t blame other countries hating on our country. They have every right. I’m not saying it’s right for them to attack us, but it’s our pathetic government that is the terrorism. This post might create some controversy, but I don’t care, just being real and needed to get it off my chest. Now Obama is backing off the Iraq war, giving Bin laden and Al Qeada more power. That’s another example of evil in our country.

Thought: How would Tom Hanks fit in the “Dark Tower” series???

I have a feeling that Tom Hanks will be involved with the “Dark Tower” cast somehow but I know he won’t be playing any of the main characters. What character could Tom play? Well Tom might be able to voice Stuttering Bill, which is a talking robot in the books.

I can see Tom playing Cuthbert Allgood or Alain Johns, one of the original ka-tet members.

Tom will not be playing Roland ’cause the leading character wouldn’t work for Tom. Tom would probably get one of the other characters that’s for sure. Tom would just play a smaller role in the first “Dark Tower” film.

Remember, Tom Hanks is a big Stephen King fan. The two worked closely together when Tom starred in “The Green Mile” in 1999.

Report: Tim Allen to return to primetime television in fall of 2011???

Former “Home Improvement” star, Tim Allen, maybe making a huge comeback to primetime TV in the fall of 2011. In the early 90’s the actor was made famous for the hit sitcom, “Home Improvement”, back in the days when DVR’s weren’t around. After “Home Improvement” was cancelled, Tim Allen went on to become a huge movie star. His first film when leaving “Home Improvement” was the “Santa Clause”, then comes “Toy Story”. He became well known playing Santa and Buzz Lightyear in the movie business. He also starred in a slew of other comedies such as “For Richer or Poorer”, “Galaxy Quest”, “Big Trouble”, “Joe Somebody”, “Christmas with the Kranks”,  and of course, “Wild Hogs”.

Tim is currently working with Greg Daniels, who is one of the writers/producers of “The Office” and “Parks & Recreation”.

More on it here.

Is this a hint that Tim Allen is on his way to NBC? Will he actually have a role in “The Office” or “Parks & Recreation”? Maybe Tim will take over as boss in “the Office”,  when Michael Scott leaves? I’m all for Tim returning to the small screen. He’s a talented guy and funny as hell!

Report: Kevin Nash goes on a rage on twitter, wrestler slams TNA, Jeff Hardy, RVD, and also bashes wrestling fans…

TNA wrestling star, Kevin Nash (who also used to work for WCW, WWE in the old days) goes nuts on twitter. He calls out TNA company, the company he’s currently working for, threatening to leave on his twitter page.

He also slams RVD and Jeff Hardy in this, tweet.

He’s also on his page harassing other wrestling fans that responded to the controversy.

Read some of Big Kev’s classic responses…here, here, herehere, and the funniest one of them all, is here.

Wow, what a big asshole and a drama queen this guy is. And you wonder why he never made a return to WWE? This guy is a douche and a big cry baby. He’s an egomaniac who can’t seem to get the hint that no one cares about him anymore. You can tell, since he doesn’t have many followers, a little over 33,000. He’s probably jealous of Jeff Hardy and RVD ’cause those two are more popular than Big Cry Baby Nash.

Thought: Another note on Lou Reed’s, “A Perfect Day”…

On a side note, even if it’s true that Lou Reed snubbed Susan Boyle for, “A Perfect Day” song, well, like I always say about an artist and their copyright, it’s his music. If he owns the copyrights and the trademarks. He has the right to control his music how he pleases. He maybe a real dick about it, sure. IT’S HIS MUSIC. He wrote the song.

As for Susan crying about it, this just proves that she can’t handle with fame with music. She doesn’t have what it takes.

“Weird” Al Yankovic tried asking many artists to parody songs from them, and when artists refuses, does “Weird” Al cry? No. He’s strong about it and moves on. He knows that the name of the game with the music business and he knows how tough it’s going to be.

Susan got a lot to learn when she wants to cover songs by artists on TV shows or record them for her albums. As you can see, I’m totally on Lou Reed’s side!

I’m sure Lou will talk soon and can’t wait to hear his thoughts. I’m sure he’ll squash this news and say he respects Susan Boyle’s talent.

Report: Leonardo Dicaprio wins restraining order against “delusional” woman claiming to be his wife…

Leonardo Dicaprio, wins a restraining order against a 41 year old woman claiming to be his wife and being the father of his child with her.  The woman has been writing letters to him that’s been mailed to his home where he lives, and she’s been trying to contact him, non stop.

Read more on it here at TMZ.

The question you have to ask is, how does this woman know where Leo lives? Well, it’s not that hard to track people down. They must of somehow look up celebrities home addresses on the internet somewhere, or maybe the phonebook or things like that. In all honesty though, I don’t think this Livia woman is dangerous, she sounds harmless. To me she sounds like an obsessive Leo Dicaprio fan trying to meet the man in person. Her way of doing it, maybe crazy, yes, but whatever it takes to meet your favorite star.

Leo is afraid of this Livia woman. Really? I looked up her myspace and facebook page, even though she’s 4 1, she looks like a young 20 year old. She’s good looking. She looks like a short woman and doesn’t look dangerous at all. Here she is, right here.

I can understand Leo is afraid of this woman because, of his previous slasher attack, Retha Wilson, but this Livia woman looks harmless to me.

Geez, it seems that Leo is getting all kinds of crazy women after him? LOL!!!!!!! No surprise. When you’re big, rich and famous, being the world’s famous hunk, you’re gonna be getting stuff like this. This kind of proves that Leo Dicaprio doesn’t realize how famous he really is.

Report: Stephen King speaks on the Dark Tower series. Who does he wants for Susannah Dean? You’d be surprised of his answer!

Stephen King, the author himself, spoke to “Entertainment Weekly” magazine for his thoughts on Ron Howard and Akiva Goldsmith being in charge for the “Dark Tower” TV series and movies. Stephen reveals he would love to voice the character, Blaine the Mono. For those who don’t know the character Blaine the Mono, it’s a fictional monorail train that talks.

Stephen also explains his casting ideas for the series. He doesn’t say who he wants for Roland, Eddie Dean and Jake, but he does have an idea who he wants for Susannah Dean, who is Eddie’s wife in the series. Who does Stephen King want for Susannah?

Who is that woman in the picture? Yes, that’s right. It’s Angela Bassett. If I remember correctly, Susannah does appear to be a black woman in the graphic novels.

Read Stephen’s brief interview with EW, here.

I do like the choice of Angela Bassett as Susannah though. She seems to fit the character perfectly.

Report: Susan Boyle confirms “A Perfect Day” snub, but Lou Reed denies it…

Oh my! This war is getting nasty fast! TMZ reports, that Susan Boyle’s managers confirmed the news is true that Lou Reed, snubbed “A Perfect Day” from her. However, Lou Reed’s lawyers spoke out and said the news isn’t true. Lou Reed’s reps said he wouldn’t do something like this.

See y’all? I told you, Lou Reed wouldn’t do anything like this. I’m sure we’ll hear from Lou Reed himself when he starts doing interviews in the media about this controversy.

Susan needs to get over herself and her ego. Sounds like she’s trying to get more attention off of Lou Reed to promote her own music. Bitch!
