Report: Stephen King announced he is writing a sequel to “The Shining”, it is titled, “Dr. Sleep”…

Well finally, Stephen King is returning to horror! He has been staying away from the genre for a long while, writing other things. While, Stephen King has just finished and published a new book, “11/22/63”, which is set to hit stores, November 8th, Stephen just announced he is writing a sequel to, “The Shining”, which was first published way back in, 1977.

Stephen actually announced the news for the sequel way back in 2009, while on a promotional tour for, “Under the Dome”. The name of the sequel of the Shining is titled, “Dr. Sleep”, announced on King’s official website.

Danny Torrance was 5 years old in the original, in the sequel, he is now 40 years old and terminally ill in a hospital. It takes place years later after the events of the first novel. The website says that the story will be about a travelling group of vampires called, The Tribe.

Interesting. So glad he’s coming back to horror, the genre that’s he is best at. Danny’s father, Jack Torrance can’t come back because he was killed by the Overlook at the end of the first novel…but considering that there are vampires in the sequel, could Jack come back as a vampire? LOL, just a thought. Stephen King is always coming up with crazy ideas so you never know.

Hhheeeerreeee’sssss JOHNNY! Sorry, had to do it.

Report: Mick Jagger making a return to acting???

There is a screenplay being written for Mick Jagger to star in, and the script is being written by “A History Of Violence”, screenwriter, Josh Olson. While Mick focuses on music most of his life, he is an occasional actor. The last film he starred in was “The Man From Elysian Fields” in 2001.

Is Mick about to retire from music and focus on acting instead?

Deadline, reports.

Pandora’s Box – the 1929 silent film about Lulu is in Netflix for DVD rental…

Just for the hell of it, I just logged in my Netflix, “Pandora’s Box“, the silent film about Lulu and they had it available for Netflix DVD rental. So I put it in my que and put it on top of the list, so I should be getting it soon after I send back the DVD I have now. Looking forward to seeing it.

This is the project that the Lou Reed & Metallica album is based on. I’m looking forward to seeing the film. After I see the film, I’ll start to understand why they are doing an album on the Lulu story.

It really is sad that the public is bashing this Lou Reed & Metallica thing. I think it’s a very special project. The Who did the theatrical/musical thing too with “Quadrophenia” and “Tommy”. The Lou/’Tallica project is kind of similar to what the Who have done.

People should respect Lou Reed as a musician ’cause he had quite a legendary history with his career. Anybody that bashes the man, has no true love for music.

Cool Photos: Charlie Sheen finally reunites with family publicly…

We haven’t seen Charlie Sheen, with father, Martin and brother Emilio much in the press, it has finally happened. Emilio’s new directorial film, “The Way”, which he and his father, Martin both star in had a premiere of the film at a film festival in Los Angeles. Charlie was there to support his family for the film.

See the photos, here.

I really would like to see Charlie and Emilio do another movie together. Maybe they will? Never say never. I really liked, “Men at Work” and, “Rated X”.

Cool Video: New “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” trailer hits, and it looks amazing!!!

I’m totally blown away by the new trailer! The American version of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” looks fantastic!!! I’m psyched to see this movie. Will this be the best movie of the year for 2011??? I’ll have to wait and see. So far the best film of the year is “Warrior”, but will “Dragon Tattoo” top it?

Will David Fincher and the cast move on to make the second movie, “The Girl Who Played With Fire” after this? It’s too early to tell. We’ll have to wait and see how ‘Dragon Tattoo” does in the box office, if they want to do a sequel. I’m sure they will move on to “Girl Who Played With Fire”, ’cause I just know that “Dragon Tattoo” is going to be the biggest hit of the year.

Can’t wait to see this movie. See the trailer, here. Hopefully this movie didn’t leave too much out of from the books which probably will.

Report: Arnold Schwarzenegger, finally writing a memoir titled, “Total Recall”, scheduled to be released in Oct. of 2012…

Simon & Schuster, announced Arnold Schwarzenegger, is currently writing a memoir about his life. He will mostly be talking about the break up with Maria Shriver, and of course, he will also talk about his childhood, bodybuilding career, film career, and political career. The book is titled, “Total Recall: My Unbelievable True Life Story”. The book is scheduled for an Oct. 2012 release date.

Entertainment Weekly, reports.

As most of you know, I’m a huge Arnold fan so I will definitely be getting this book when it comes out. This isn’t the first time Arnold written and published books. Years ago, he published a few books on bodybuilding, most notably, “Arnold’s Modern Bodybuilding Encyclopedia”, which is his most popular book.

The question you have to ask is, will Sylvester Stallone ever do a memoir? I would like Sly to write his memoir but I remember him saying on AICN during his Q&A sessions, he doesn’t want to do one. Never say never though, maybe he will do one someday. I think a Sly memoir will be interesting.

Report: Universal planning another “Scarface” movie but it won’t be a remake or sequel…

A lot of people are already calling this a new, “Scarface”, remake but if you carefully read the article, the film that Universal is planning is not intended to be a remake or a sequel.

It’s going to take common elements from the first two films. Tony Montana is still going to be used but details are being kept under wraps for now. This will be a standalone movie.

I’m a huge fan of the “Scarface” films, I love both of them. I’m looking forward to seeing what they’re going to do with it. Will it be violent and will it have profanity throughout the entire movie? Will the new Tony Montana actor top Al Pacino’s performance?

It’s going to be interesting to see who they are planning to cast for Tony.

Report: Is Tyler Bates the new composer for Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel”???

Rumors are hitting the web this week that film composer, Tyler Bates, could be the new composer for Zack Snyder’s, “Man of Steel”. The reason this rumor started because he was listed in IMDB, in the credits as composer. So far, no official press release about it from Warner Bros.

It could be true because Tyler already worked with Zack for “300”, “Watchmen” and “Suckerpunch”.

This is starting to worry Superman fans, ’cause the John Williams main theme could be ignored. I don’t think so. In every Superman movie, there is the John Williams score just different versions of it. J.W.’s didn’t score every Superman flick, only the first one.

If Tyler is indeed the composer for, “Man of Steel”, I think it’s still a possibility they will still use the J.W.’s score, but a different take on it. They shouldn’t really ignore the theme completely and they probably won’t. Hope they won’t ignore it anyway.

Report: Liam Hemsworth officially joins, “The Expendables” sequel…

The young, Liam Hemsworth, officially joins the cast of, “The Expendables 2”. Liam can be seen in movies such as, “Knowing”, and, “The Last Song”. He will also have a role in the upcoming film, “The Hunger Games”.

Liam originally was going to have a role to play along side with Sylvester Stallone, in the first, “Expendables” film, but Sly wrote him out of the movie. I guess Sly wanted to put him in the sequel to make up for it.

Deadline, reports.

Well, Liam is a pretty muscular guy and he’s a superstar, so he’s the right fit. The point of the Expendables, is having of bunch of muscle guys who are icons all in one film.

Another addition that would be pretty cool to add to this cast is Jason Mamoa, who is famous for “Game of Thrones” and “Conan, The Barbarian” remake. After seeing the movie, “Warrior”, Kurt Angle would also be a good addition.
