Just got back into dead lifting at the gym again…

For the past two weeks at the gym, I’ve just started dead lifting on the barbell. Ya know, the dead lift workout that is very popular in the gym. A lot of guys like to do it. Each time I go to the Battenkill Ymca which is the gym I go to, there are always guys dead-lifting there. That’s why I’m only going to do back workouts at the gym in the afternoon ’cause that’s when the gym is not busy and not a lot of people there. Ya know, I love working out at the gym but I hate, I absolutely HATE working out at the gym in the evening ’cause that’s when the gym is real busy. The gym gets packed in the evening ’cause that’s when people go to the gym after work and stuff. All the equipment I need to use are always being used when it’s busy which sucks. This is why I mostly like to go to the gym during the day when it’s not as crowded there.

Anyway back to dead lifting, I’m enjoying the workout a lot and I think I’m gonna keep doing it each week. The dead lift exercise on the barbell is really simple, really safe and it feels good doing it too. The dead lift works most of the lower body area like lower back, the glutes and hamstrings mostly. Dead lift works most of the legs too.

I’m not a super heavy dead-lifter yet. The heaviest I can lift on the dead lift is like 70 lbs. I would love to lift super heavy someday but it’s a slow process so I’m taking my time and not rushing it. I’m realizing now that the dead lift is one of the best workouts ever. It’s really good for the back. I’ve experimented with dead lifting in the past when I first started out, but now I’m getting back into it.

The dead lift not only gives you more strengths and builds muscle mass on your lower body, it also burns body fat and it’s a good workout for the abs as well. Doing dead lifts will also help give you more strengths for other workouts too.

Dead lifting is freakin’ awesome, though. I can see why a lot of people like to do it. Not only guys do it, women do it too.

I’m definitely gonna do dead lifting on a regular basis from now on. I’ve also gotten back into bench pressing for the chest and gonna get back into barbell squats for legs next time I do leg day.

I love bodybuilding and fitness. I stuck with it throughout the winter after a Christmas break from it and I’m planning to stick with it all year long. I really do want to get big and muscular and trying all I can to get there. I like what I have now, though.

Why more young people have been leaving social media…

The NYPost did this interesting little article that more young people leaving social media is on the rise. Ya know, young people giving up social media sites like facebook, twitter and instagram.

Why do people leave social media? Ya know, when people leave social media they always get accused of being “attention whores”. Just leaving for attention just so they can be liked when they return… that sort of thing, ya know? I disagree.

I think people leave social media ’cause maybe people don’t have time for it anymore? They want to find better things to do with their lives. Some find social media too addicting to them that it’s taking themselves away from the real world.

There are many reasons why people leave social media, however. Let me think of some… well for starters, people leave social media ’cause of too much negativity, drama, gossip and soap opera stuff. Maybe people got too fed up with all the negativity and drama and they quit for that reason?  FB is full of drama and negativity everyday on my newsfeed so I can’t blame them. Too much cyberbullying and harassment going around, blah blah blah, you get the deal.

Maybe people also leave ’cause of political posts and they just simply got bored with it.

I hear them, though and I can’t blame them at all. Social media is the devil — it really is. I almost came this close to leaving social media myself ’cause I couldn’t stand all the drama. Simply put, people leave social media to escape all the bullshit. I know a lot of people that don’t even use social media at all and they are happy without them.

I despise social media too and I’m only on them ’cause I have fans and supporters. If I leave, they’ll talk me into coming back. Happens every time.

Thoughts about the historic President Trump and Kim Jong Un meeting agreement… it’s just amazing, really…

This is a pretty historic week for President Trump and the United States of America. As you probably heard by now the South Korean security adviser announced that Kim Jong Un says he will refrain from any further nuclear and missile tests. Not only that, South Korea announced the big news that President Trump has agreed to meet with Kim Jong Un the man himself sometime by May of 2018. It seems that Kim Jong Un is all game for meeting President Trump in person. Trump wants to speak with Kim in hopes of denuclearization.

After this announcement was made, it seems that other countries such as China, Russia and South Korea are all for this meeting to happen so that’s good news.

Ya know, it’s funny. After Trump’s nuclear button tweet, liberals freaked and said Trump is gonna get us all killed and start World War III. Well I’m sure libtards are upset ’cause neither of those are gonna happen. Donald and Kim are gonna get together for hopeful peace talks. Will President Trump be successful at getting peace with North Korea? Yes, I predict Trump would be successful ’cause why? Trump is one of the best negotiators out there. That’s a huge part of why we all elected Trump ’cause Trump is the master at negotiation with people. Read his book, “The Art of the Deal”. If you read that book… the book is all about negotiation and winning. Trump will do exactly that with Kim Jong-un. If Trump can do that, it would make Trump the best president in history and liberals in America will have to admit that as well. Liberals are already starting to admit it.

My question is will Trump have to travel to North Korea to meet Kim or will Kim have to travel to the United States to meet Trump at the White House? We’ll find out real soon, though. They gotta figure something out.  I predict Trump will end up travelling to North Korea. Trump will probably have to go to Pyongyang where the North Korea government is and where Kim spends most of his time at.

This is also an automatic re-election for Trump and there’s a Nobel Peace Prize possibility. I think one day liberals will have to get forced to admit that Trump is a great leader, give it time. Liberals are still hating, yes but at some point they will have to get forced to admit Trump is doing good things for America. It’s gonna piss them off yes but they’ll have no choice to admit it. They can’t thank Obama for this one and they know it too.

Trump is doing a fantastic job and I’m so impressed with the man. I never regretted my Trump vote at all and will proudly vote for him again in 2020.

I’m totally siding with the Washington Armory suing the Migos rap group over the 2015 riot in Albany…

I’m totally siding with the Washington Armory venue in Albany on this ’cause why? Simply because everything they’re saying about the Migos rap group is true. The Migos are no stranger to starting fights with people if you look them up in youtube. The Migos think they’re tough guys for sure but what do you expect from rappers?

This story is big in the local news and it even attracted some attention in the national news too. There is lots of video of the Washington Armory riot that took place back in 2015 and I posted a few videos of the riot. Check ’em out, it’s pretty crazy.

Of course as soon as this story hit the news, it’s no surprise to find local media outlets and some national media, sucking up to the Migos instead of siding with the Armory. You know how the media are very protective of the black community.

The Armory accuses the Migos of being really late for the concert and refusing to do meet and greets. Well, this wasn’t the first time the group did stuff like this ’cause they did the same thing at the 2015 George University concert. At the Georgia University show they were arrested for possession of marijuana and firearm possession as well. Look it up.

Funny, I’ve never heard of the Migos before until this story broke out. I listened to them in youtube a little bit and they’re absolutely horrible.

One thing I’m noticing in the Albany local music scene is that this scene have been booking rap artists to venues around this area a lot lately. Rap music is getting bigger locally. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against all rap music — I actually like some of it. It’s just that you got to realize that not all rappers are good people. Many are trouble makers ’cause they think they’re “gangster” or something. I’ve been to some rap concerts in the past myself.

I wish the Armory good luck on this as they have every right to defend themselves.

Sounds like the Migos are unprofessional jackasses.

Saw the new “Death Wish” remake and it was freakin’ GREAT! Definitely go check it out!

Earlier today, I decided to go to the mall for something to do and I wanted to go see the new, “Death Wish” remake w/ Bruce Willis. Turned out that I thought the movie was freakin’ GREAT like the title says. It’s definitely one of the best action thrillers I’ve seen in a long time.

Bruce Willis is finally back on the big screen after several years of making straight to video films. This is the Bruce Willis we all want to see, though. The bad ass Bruce Willis like how we all like to see him. This role will remind you of John McClane a little bit from the first two “Die Hard” movies.

Ya know how most remakes sucks nowadays? Well, we finally get a really good one here. As a matter of fact, I think the “Death Wish” remake w/ Bruce Willis was a lot better than the original which starred Charles Bronson. Even though both movies have pretty similar story lines, still though the films are pretty different. I’m glad the remake isn’t exactly like the original. The one with Bruce Willis is a modern day “Death Wish” film of what it would have been like today. That’s the whole point of it, I believe.

What I liked about this film is that this is an action thriller where you get to cheer on the hero and also get grossed out by the gritty scenes. There are a few scenes in this film that will make you want to look away from the screen. Eli Roth is the master of making gritty scenes since he is mostly known as a horror director.

I was very impressed with this film. Glad I went and saw it. It’s a good revenge movie. Bruce Willis haven’t been starring in that many great roles lately and the true Bruce Willis is finally back. This is not just a remake, I think it’s gonna be a reboot too ’cause this could be ongoing series. There’s probably gonna be a sequel.

The action scenes were a blast to watch and the entire cast did great on the acting too. It was good to see Elizabeth Shue in a movie again, though. I haven’t seen her in a movie since “Hollow Man” w/ Kevin Bacon. Remember Elizabeth Shue played Laruso’s love interest in the first “Karate Kid” movie and she was McFly’s girlfriend in “Back to the Future II and III”. She was also the leading star in “Adventures in Babysitting”.

The “Death Wish” remake kicked ass. If you’re a fan of action thrillers, definitely go see this one. I’m definitely getting the BluRay when it comes out for sure.

I didn’t watch the Oscars last night like most… but they only did 4 things right…

Yep, like most people I skipped the Oscars last night just like I did last year. It’s a shame ’cause I used to enjoy the Oscars, but they seem to be getting worse each year. Yeah, The Oscars going political is a major problem, but that’s not the only problem with the Oscars. They have more problems like their nominations are always terrible every year and this year is the worst with their nominations! The only films I saw out of the nominations for “Best Picture” this year were: “Dunkirk”, “Get Out” and “Lady Bird”. The rest of ’em I haven’t even seen. The only other movie I want to see out of the Best Picture nominations is the film “Darkest Hour”. That’s another film that interests me and I want to see it. I’m planning to pick up the BluRay for “Darkest Hour” when I hit Best Buy this week.

With that being said, the Oscars did 4 things right when giving away awards last night. I was happy when the Oscars gave Gary Oldman his first award. Surprisingly enough, Gary Oldman never won an Oscar before until now. That man is a very talented actor. He’s one of the best and I’m glad he finally got an Oscar. That was long over due. Jordan Peele winning the Oscar for “Best Original ScreenPlay” on the “Get Out” movie was the right move ’cause the writing for that movie was really good. “Get Out” was a really good movie except the only thing I didn’t like about it was all the Obama worship but what do you expect from liberal Hollywood, hey? Other than that, “Get Out” was a great psychological horror film. I actually liked it a lot and watched it a couple of times. The other two things the Academy got right was giving awards to Blade Runner: 2049 for “Best Cinematography” and “Best Visual Effects”. These were the things that the Oscars got right last night, but all the other awards given last night were terrible.

It doesn’t surprise me that the TV ratings for this year’s Oscars are at an all time low. The Oscars were down 16% from last year’s Oscars. The Oscars get worse every year ’cause of the liberal propaganda and bad shows. Bad nomination choices is another factor of why the ratings are so low. Again, I used to love the Oscars, but Hollywood is going downhill pretty fast. It’s a shame ’cause I am a huge movie buff as you all know. I love watching movies ’cause it’s one of my favorite hobbies.

I’m glad I didn’t watch last night. I too had no interest in Hollywood lecturing us how much they despise Trump and ramming their liberal propaganda down our throats. I’m fed up with all that too. When will they learn that politics and entertainment don’t mix? Instead, I watched the movie “Casino” w/ Robert De Niro on Netflix which was even better. Fuck the Oscars. I’m completely done with award shows. I don’t watch any of them anymore.

Just watched “Irreplaceable You” on Netflix last night and I surprisingly liked it a lot! Very good movie!

Last night on Netflix, I watched the original Netflix movie titled, “Irreplaceable You”. It’s a drama about this interracial couple who started off as best friends since they were little and they became lovers as they got older. They’re a married couple and the girl gets diagnosed with cancer.

I’m not into these kind of movies that much… ya know drama movies and tear jerkers. Sometimes I need to watch this kind of stuff ’cause you need a break from watching violent movies all the time, ya know?

“Irreplaceable You” was a different film for sure and it sure did inspire me. It’s a film about love and death pretty much. The movie was very well acted by the cast and the script was well-written, I thought. Christopher Walken is the only big name star in this film, but the rest of the cast are complete unknowns.

I liked this movie a lot more than “The Fault In Our Stars”. “Irreplaceable You” was a very good film and I’ll probably watch it again sometime. Maybe this weekend.

If you’re looking for a movie to watch on Netflix then you should check this one out. I was surprised how good this movie turned out to be. It’s definitely one of Netflix’s best original films.

Local music

Sorry but local music and politics don’t mix, what’s going on here???

I’ve been saying for a long while now that local music in the Capital Region and liberal politics have been a pretty big problem. I’ve been noticing that for a while and I’m not afraid to be realistic about it. Why is most of this area’s music scene being a bunch of liberal loudmouths and SJW’s? Lets make some observations shall we?

Well, a lot lately, I’ve been noticing some online websites that promotes local music, but at the same time they promote liberal propaganda. I believe that all started with the now defunct Metroland newspaper. When the Metroland used to be around, they would use the paper to promote the local arts. That’s what the paper used to be about really, but mostly I see them using the newspaper to promote liberal politics and local music both at the same time. Now that the Metroland is out of business due to not paying their taxes of their office building, they have now transformed into The Alt which is an online only kind of paper thing.

The Alt is kind of similar to Metroland. They promote the local arts, local music and they promote liberal propaganda as well. This week, I started looking at the The Alt website… check it out here: http://thealt.com/

As you can see, the Alt website has gotten much worse with their liberal bias. The Alt is a lot more further left than the Metroland was, in my opinion. The Alt is ultra-left as you can see in their political blogs on their site.

A few articles on there that got my attention were David King’s articles on the NRA. He’s just another anti-NRA nutjob. His two articles that he wrote on the NRA that I read are worthy of a blog response and I’ll respond to his opinion articles in another blog post some other time, but I must say those David King’s hateful ranting toward the NRA and law-abiding citizens were comical to read. You can betcha I’ll have a lot to say about his opinion pieces. I’ll respond to his NRA articles soon so stay tuned, y’all. It’s gonna be good and I’m gonna be honest and brutal. David King just doesn’t realize that the more he bashes the NRA, the more it’s gonna get people interested in joining. He’s just being an NRA salesman and that is all.

Anyway, back to the Capital Region and liberal politics, what is going on here, ya know? It’s very sad to see all this and disgusting too. Why can’t we all just shut up and play the music? If there is one thing that I can think of that is hurting this area’s music scene, this is it. I wish the local music press would stop talking about liberal politics ’cause that is not a good way to promote local music. If you think being political loudmouths is gonna bring people out to the gigs then you’re delusional.

That’s probably why I’ll never gig again. I don’t think I will and me gigging out in the scene won’t happen anytime soon ’cause I’m tired of the liberal SJW’s that are out in the scene. It’s not just online websites that are the problem, the local news like WNYT, The Post Star, The Times Union, etc. They all can be just as bad with the liberal bias. Liberal bias is everywhere in Upstate NY and quite frankly, I’m pretty sick of it. All the local news and local music press that promote liberal politics, they always go by what the mainstream media does.

The local music scene in the Capital Region is full of liberals. The reason is that the local press seems to ram the liberal propaganda down our throats. The mainstream media is responsible for that too.

I used to support the local music scene ’cause I love live music and I love performing live myself, but I can’t support the local music scene anymore with the way it’s going. I’ll always make music, though ’cause that’s what I do. I wish all musicians and promoters around here would just shut up and play the music. Instead, they’re all being political activists which really saddens me.

Does The Undertaker vs. John Cena deserve to happen?

For Wrestlemania this year, it’s definitely looking like that the Undertaker vs. John Cena is gonna happen. It probably will happen ’cause a Cena vs. ‘Taker feud has already started on RAW. Cena just started challenging ‘Taker. Ya know, this match I think needs to happen ’cause a Cena vs. ‘Taker match has never happened at a Wrestlemania believe it or not! It’s true! I think a match like that is about to come to a reality.

I used to hate John Cena, but I don’t anymore. My respect for Cena grew pretty slowly over the years but now my respect for him is immense. Love him or hate him, Cena is a work horse in the business. The man works hard. He’s one guy that works in WWE on a full time basis all year round. He does take time off here and there but not much. He’s a hard worker and good performer. He’s also a good wrestler. Many wrestling fans refuses to admit that Cena has put on a lot of exciting and thrilling matches at Wrestlemania over the years.

Many wrestling fans don’t want ‘Taker vs. Cena to happen, but I think it’s a match that deserves to happen. No doubt that ‘Taker and Cena will bring the house down and put on a very exciting match. Undertaker matches are always very exciting. I’m not ashamed to admit that Cena is becoming a favorite of mine. I think ‘Taker and Cena will put on a brilliant match together, and it will probably end up being one of the best matches on the WM-34  card.

Who will end up winning the ‘Taker vs. Cena match? Probably ‘Taker. Remember, ‘Taker lost his WM streak to Brock Lesnar at WM-30 and ‘Taker lost again to Roman Reigns at WM-33 last year. Since ‘Taker lost a WM last year, I think WWE will make him win again so the fans can be happy ’cause fans were upset when he lost to Reigns. Was that ‘Taker’s last match with Reigns? I don’t think so… I think ‘Taker has some more wrestling in him left. I think ‘Taker will have his last match with Cena and win that one so ‘Taker can have his last match as his winning match.

What is the WM-34 card looking like so far? Well as far as I know there are two matches confirmed already: “Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for Universal Title” and “Aj Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakumura for the WWE Title”.

I’m looking forward to Wrestlemania this year as always. I watch it every year and thanks to WWE Network, it gave me the opportunity to watch every single one. I hope this year’s card is gonna be a good one!

Bruce Dickinson’s book, “What does this Button Do”, a brief review…

Over the weekend, I’ve just finished reading Bruce Dickinson’s rock memoir titled, “What Does This Button Do”. If you don’t know who this guy is, he is the lead singer of the legendary metal band, Iron Maiden. Even though the book was a short read, it’s still an entertaining as hell book to read. It was definitely different than all the other rock memoirs I’ve read in the past.

You know how in most rock memoirs over the years mostly focuses on sex, drugs and rock n’ roll? Well in Bruce’s book talks about mostly rock n’ roll but doesn’t talk about sex and drugs. He mostly talked about his career with Iron Maiden and his solo career as well. When it comes to Maiden, he talked about how he made every album he did with them including the newer Maiden albums. I liked reading all the Maiden stuff in the book.

This book is more than just rock and metal, though. Bruce also talks a lot about his love of flying and airplanes. Flying airplanes is his second passion other than music and he also loved fencing. He also talked about how he got into doing radio, writing books and doing film projects. Of course,  he also talked about his experiences of having tongue cancer. He went into depths of having tongue cancer toward the end of the book which was all interesting to read.

If you’re expecting to read a lot about his love life and sex life and all that like a lot of rock memoirs seem to do, you may want to find a different book ’cause he doesn’t talk  about any of that which was refreshing to read. I hate it when rock stars write books and they talk about their problems with women and all that shit. Bruce’s book is NOT an anything goes tell-all book like all the others. He mostly focused on the things he liked to do in his life and of course talked about cancer.

When I was reading the book, he wrote the book as if he was really talking to you and he wasn’t writing it as a novel if you know what I mean. This is just Bruce speaking his mind. This is like Bruce writing a journal or whatever.

If you’re an Iron Maiden fan or a fan of  metal, it’s a great read for all. I’ve been an Iron Maiden fan for a while now. I’m late getting  into their music, but I’ve just started listening to them. I have 5 of their albums on my Ipod now. They’re one of my favorite bands and I find myself listening to them a lot especially their new album, “The Book of Souls”. I find myself listening to that album repeatedly.
