Cool Video: Sting returns to TNA Impact last night and takes the title from Jeff Hardy!!!

WOW!!! I actually enjoyed, TNA Impact last night. While the company is mostly crap, I thought last night’s episode was actually very entertaining.

Last night’s show opened with Dixie Carter coming to the ring to announce her battle with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff’s new wrestling group, Immortal on who ever takes control of the TNA company. The current storyline is, that Immortal has control of TNA taking over Dixie Carter’s job. Hulk and Dixie battle in court that day storywise to see who gets control. It was announced that Hulk Hogan won the court battle (story wise) and has complete ownership of TNA, leaving Dixie unemployed.

Then it was announced that Jeff Hardy would have a world TNA championship match against an unannounced opponent. The unannounced opponent was the “3-3-11” thing that TNA got going on, similar to the Undertaker’s return at WWE. Well, the “3-3-11” turned out to be Sting. It was a very shocking ending to last night’s TNA and not too expecting. TNA does a good job at unpredictability while WWE makes their story lines too predictable.

Everything else about last night’s TNA was great. The matches were fun and I even enjoyed the Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett feud. Jeff Jarrett who married Karen Angle in front of Kurt’s face at the show.

Last night’s episode was to obviously compete against WWE like usual. Even Hulk Hogan was entertaining last night too. If they keep up the good work like this, I might be a full time fan of TNA. I do watch TNA every week though.

Film Review: The Adjustment Bureau

Starring: Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Terence Stamp

Directed by: George Nolfi

So today I decided to go to the mall for something to do. For shopping, I didn’t get too much this time. I just picked up “127 Hours” on DVD and picked up “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” book. That was it.On with the review:

Plot/Synopsis: Matt Damon plays a New York City politician named, David Morris who is running for New York State Senate. While doing his politics stuff, David meets a woman named Elise who is a ballet dancer and they immediately fall in love. It was love at first sight. While David is concentrating on the election, strange men come after him to hold him captive in a warehouse where the men told him about the Adjustment Bureau. The Adjustment Bureau have control of everything and their goal was to keep David and his girlfriend, Elise apart.

I saw this film because it was getting a lot of positive reviews from critics and movie fans online. When I went and saw this, I thought it was pretty good, but not the best film ever. Why? For a few reasons. First of all, I don’t really care for Matt Damon too much. Even though I’ve seen plenty of his movies and he has been in some good ones, I just don’t like his acting style. Matt Damon is a little overrated for my taste.

Secondly, I think this film kind of ripped off the plot from the 1998 sci-fi film, “Dark City”. Both films have very similar plot points. Where a guy finds himself having a group of men and having control of things. Dark City is about a guy who wakes up and loses his memory and is wanted for murders, and he is being controlled by a group of people called, The Strangers. See how “Dark City” is similar to this movie? That is another thing that turned me off about, “The Adjustment Bureau”.

Other than that, I did like the film, it’s just that I feel it’s a wait for DVD thing. It’s a rental, in my opinion. Terence Stamp gave a great performance, I think that’s what I liked most about it. Most people loved, “The Adjustment Bureau” but that’s probably because most people haven’t seen “Dark City”. I suggest you to watch “Dark City”. It’s a way better film.

Score for “The Adjustment Bureau” = (** = “2 stars” as in okay)

Charlie Sheen is not a trainwreck!!!

Wow. Charlie Sheen is the most talked about celeb on the internet indeed. People are still talking about him in facebook and twitter. People are obsessed with him. It bothers me how people judge him as a train wreck and a delusional person.

Yes, I agree Charlie’s interviews in the media are a bit weird and bizarre, but come on, people. He’s just a comedian! Most comedians are crazy like that. It’s just his sense of humor when doing interviews with the press.

Charlie isn’t the only comedian who struggled with drugs & alcohol. There have been plenty of comedians from the past who had trouble with hard partying. Comedians I can think of at the top of my head: Sam Kinison, John Belushi, Richard Pryor, Cheech Marin & Tommy Chong, etc. The list goes on.

I’ll still have the videblog coming this weekend.

Hulk Hogan posts a tweet forgiving Bret Hart, is he for real?

Hulk Hogan posted this on his twitter.

“Last and only comment for Brett,I hope he finds happiness in life,I feel bad for him and I have totally forgiven him much respect HH”

Hogan posting that kind of surprised me. As you all know, Hulk and Bret have been feuding out of wrestling for years. If Hogan is serious on forgiving Bret, I’ll respect Hogan just this once. Somehow I can’t trust Hulk though.

Will Bret forgive him in return? Will Bret and Hogan bury the hatchet and call a truce? Maybe, but I don’t see it happening.

Hogan finally did something nice for once in his life, but you can’t take him seriously.

Report: Sammy Hagar wants back in Van Halen…

I’m glad Sammy Hagar wants back in Van Halen, because personally I love the Hagar era of Van Halen a lot more than David Lee Roth. I’m sure a Hagar/Van Halen reunion will happen someday but not this soon. It depends how long the new Van Halen will keep David Lee Roth in the band. Whenever David leaves again, then maybe Sammy will replace him. Van Halen is recording a new album with David so don’t expect a Van Halen/Hagar comeback.

More on it, here.

Report: Mick Jagger working on new material for new solo record with Eurythmics guitarist, Dave Stewart…

Ever since Mick Jagger’s surprising Grammy appearance, it made you wonder if he’ll ever return to music. It turns out that he is. It is reported he is working on a new solo record with Eurythmics guitarist, Dave Stewart. The Rolling Stones aren’t coming back sadly. So I’m sure this will shoot down speculation of a Stones comeback completely.

Read more on the story, here.

I’m pretty sure Mick will go on tour and of course, he probably will perform a bunch of Stones covers on tour. Hopefully Keith Richards will play guitar for one song on Mick’s new album? That might happen too, never know.

BREAKING NEWS: Diane Lane confirmed to play Martha Kent for Zack Snyder’s “Superman”!!!

First Henry Cavill have been hired to play Superman. Here is the next confirmed casting for Zack Snyder’s “Superman”. Diane Lane have been officially hired to play Martha Kent, Clark Kent’s adopted mother from Smallville.

Just a while back it was reported that WB’s was interested in Kevin Costner playing an unannounced role. Kevin wasn’t confirmed, Warner Bros’s was just interested in him. Everyone assumed that Kevin would be playing Clark’s father’s, Jonathan Kent.

Read the full story here, at Deadline.

Diane Lane is an amazing actress, so she’ll nail this role with no problem. If she’s lucky enough, she could get Oscar nominated for Best Supporting Actress in this “Superman” flick. Her acting for this film would be the one to pay the most attention to.

I remembered her in “The Perfect Storm” movie.

From the sounds of things, sounds like they are doing another version of, “Superman: The Movie”.

Lets hope they’ll get John Williams to do the score for the new Superman flick. That opening Superman theme is important and they need to keep it.

Report: Warner Bros. moving forward with “Blade Runner” prequel and sequel…

Well, let the Harrison Ford returning to “Blade Runner” rumors begin! I’m sure it already started! Warner Bros. financial company, Alcon Entertainment, is in final negotiations to secure the rights to make a “prequel” and “sequel”, to the 1982 science fiction action adventure film, “Blade Runner”, that starred Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard, the film was directed by Ridley Scott.

Read the full story here, at Deadline.

Interesting. For the prequel, they would need a young actor for the Rick Deckard role, but Harrison may reprise the role for the sequel though. If they plan on using Rick Deckard still. I always felt that the “Blade Runner” movie had more of a story to be told, so I’m actually glad they’re doing more! Looking forward to see how they’re going to pull this off.

I’m sure we’ll hear from Harrison soon about this as well.

Report: Tom Hanks and Tim Allen to finally star in a live action film together, after the success of Toy Story!!!

After the huge success of the Toy Story franchise, Disney is moving ahead with a new film titled, “Jungle Cruise”, which will be based on the theme park ride at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The script was written for Tom Hanks and Tim Allen to star. Roger S.H. Schulman will write the script, and the film will be produced by David Hoberman, and Todd Lieberman. The studio haven’t hired a director yet. This film will be live action, not animated. The plot haven’t been revealed yet, but I’m sure we will hear more of the project in the future.

Deadline, reports.

Well I agree with Tom Hanks and Tim Allen finally staring in a film together, a live action film, that is. It deserves to happen. This project sounds great.

Tom haven’t done a family friendly live action film in a long time. The last live action family film he did was, “Cast Away” I believe? Back in the year 2000. Tom really doesn’t do live action films for kids that much anymore. He’s mostly done dramas and serious films.  He’s done plenty of voice overs for animated films, but not much for live action. He did all the family films in the 80’s with films such as, “Splash”, “BIG”, ” and maybe a few others.

“Jungle Cruise” is a great opportunity for Tom. Tom needs to get back into the comedy spotlight again like where he was before in the 80’s.
