Thoughts about today’s Benghazi hearings…

Yes, I have been following the Benghazi hearings today as you have probably already seen on my twitter. Yes, I have been listening to it on the live video feed on the CBS website. I would have to say it was pretty interesting and powerful stuff. Very emotional and sad. When Gregory Hicks was describing the 4 victims being found, especially Ambassador Chris Stevens, Mr. Hicks was about ready to cry and you can really feel it too.

As for my thoughts on what went down in today’s Benghazi hearings — of course, the truth haven’t came out yet even if the three witnesses came up, told their story and answered the questions. Now if I may be 100% honest here, this is just my opinion and response to everything going in today’s hearings — it all still points to President Obama and Hillary. How? Well, one of the witnesses said that when Ambassador Stevens yelled, “We’re under attack”, the phone lines cut off right after he said it. Plus, the consulate was denied US military backup from Tripoli and was ordered not to help. The consulate was also denied fighter planes; there were no fighter planes to help them either. Also, another thing that sounds kind of fishy to me is that Barack and Hillary both called Mr. Hicks at the consulate after the attacks happened. Right after the attacks happened, that is. Mr. Hicks was being praised by the both of them, and to be honest with you, I truly believe that is not the reason why Barack and Hillary called Mr. Hicks. I believe they wanted to check in and to see what was going on there. Why? Because Barack and Hillary obviously knew what was going on that whole time.

Can you see why the public is pointing the blame on Barack and Hillary now? We don’t make this stuff up and we’re not gonna ignore it. These are human and innocent lives here. We care for them. When some lousy politician tries to hurt the US; they need to be held accountable.

So you have to ask yourself. Who would be the people who wouldn’t allow military back-up, fighter planes and other security to help the victims? Yes, that’s right. None other than the Obama administration who gives the orders. They’re in charge.

Honestly, it’s gonna be very difficult and challenging to get the truth behind the Benghazi attacks. How are we going to get the truth? Well, the only way I can think of is that none other than Barack and Hillary owe us an explanation; which we know they will never give. They know more about the Benghazi attacks than anybody but they’re covering things up and lying about things. Barack still refuses to speak about Benghazi. Another way to find the truth about Benghazi, is where ever Barack and Hillary are hiding the missing survivors that’ll be hard enough evidence right there that they were behind the whole thing.

It’s a real shame about Benghazi. All of this is bullshit. Politicians should be able to tell us the truth. Give it up and come forward when it should be really easy to do. If they refuse to speak about it then that shows even more that they don’t care about the American people. When you see people in facebook, blogs, and other places online speaking about Benghazi, we respond to it ’cause we care for our fellow Americans. When you hurt Americans in other countries, then you hurt us.

Sure enough, the Benghazi story today got overshadowed by the Amanda Berry and Jodi Arias stories in the news today. It’s a real shame what the media has become as well. Benghazi is more important, in my opinion. I didn’t care about the Ohio women and the Jodi Arias story; my complete focus was all on Benghazi. Benghazi is pretty serious stuff. It’s no joke. The Benghazi hearings was pretty interesting, glad I listened to it. I’ll be following the Benghazi stuff.

How much longer are Barack and Hillary gonna hide the truth from us? This just proves that Barack O’bama is all power. That’s all the man cares about and he is an evil son of a bitch. That man needs to be held accountable. Not just for Benghazi also for: “Operation: Fast and Furious”, the drones, and so many other things. The entire Obama administration needs to go down. They’re all a bunch of scum bags. I hate all of them.

Album Review: Hard Soul, “Seize The Year”…

HardSoul

The band Hard Soul is a band coming from the Capital District in Upstate, New York. The band’s lineup includes: Johnny Salka (lead vocals/guitar), Justin Cheever (drums), Nick Kossor (guitar), and Erin Grim (Keys/Piano). The band has got their start as an acoustic duo performing in bars, coffeehouses, and music venues across the Capital District. The band plays both acoustic and electric guitar-driven rock which defined their straight-forward rock n’ roll sound. “Seize The Year” is the band’s second EP, a follow-up to 2012’s, “Love Eats The Young”. Their latest EP “Seize The Year” has 5 tracks: the title track, “Conquered The World”, “Passes You By”, “Falling Faster” and “Not Alone”.

The album’s sounds is mostly straight-up-rock with one acoustic song, which is “Not Alone”; it has a folky feeling to it. As for the rock n’ roll songs, they can be catchy and they can easily be radio-friendly songs; something that you would here on EQX. Songwriting seems simplistic and easy to listen. That’s the way songs should be. You don’t have to be a technical musician or be a speed-demon shredder to make great rock n’ roll music. The guitar sounds on the album are good. Once a song starts, the songs get straight to the point, and you’re immediately hooked. Great rhythm chops, tasty guitar solos, and good sound over-all. The band’s sounds reminds me of other national bands such as Weezer, Silverchair, Oasis, The Beatles, and others. The band says they get most of their sound influences from Thin Lizzy, and I guess you can hear a little bit of that in their music as well.

Johnny’s singing is good and can easily catch a listener’s ear. He draws you to the music. His singing is real, heartfelt, and he doesn’t try so hard like most rock singers seem to do. He’s no classical singer or Robert Plant, but you don’t need to be to perform great rock n’ roll. All you need is to sing songs with passion and Johnny has that.

Even though this album has 5 tracks, this album is worth a listen. They’re a great rock n’ roll band and they have the potential for a big career in music in their future. I loved the album and hope they release a full-length album with even more songs in the near future. I’m a new fan.

Report: Ben Affleck already set to star/direct next film titled, “Live By Night”…

Since Ben Affleck’s “Argo”, got the BEST PICTURE win at the Oscars, Warner Bros. is not wasting any time for Ben to move on to his next directed/starring movie. Ben will next direct and star in a film callled, “Live By Night”, based upon the novel by, Dennis Lehane. Of course, Ben Affleck is the only cast member signed as he will probably play the leading role.

The story “Live By Night”, is set in Boston in the 1920’s. Sounds like it’s going to be a gangster story; it looks like Ben will be playing a character named, Joe Coughlin. Read the full plot synopsis, here.

Sounds like it’s gonna be a violent action movie too. Which is good ’cause Ben is great at those kind of flicks ’cause I loved that movie, “The Town”. Well, I did love the movie, “Argo”, a lot but I liked “The Town” even more.  Hopefully “Live By Night”, will finally earn Ben a BEST DIRECTOR nomination ’cause it seems he keeps getting snubbed for that category. He is a talented film maker and actor, though. I’ve always admired Ben’s work. Even the films he stars in that he didn’t direct.

Deadline, reports.

Hear the new “Man of Steel” Hans Zimmer theme here…

Ya know, at first I was pretty skeptical of Hans Zimmer scoring for “Man of Steel” because I didn’t think he would be able to top John Williams. Well, I guess I thought wrong. I’m loving the new Superman theme. Zimmer did a good job and it helped make me ignore the Richard Donner films. The new theme doesn’t really sound like a super-hero theme either. It sounds real. The song has emotion and passion in it. The new song is kind of letting you know that the new Supes flick could be a sad film.

Enjoy it, here.

Report: Tom Cruise finally signs on to, “MI: 5”, which is good!!!

It took him forever to do it but Tom Cruise has finally signed on to the 5th installment of the, “Mission Impossible”, franchise. Well, this is good news actually. I absolutely LOVED, “Ghost Protocol”, the 4th movie. “Ghost Protocol”, was actually a pretty amazing action movie and the best one of the series so far. That’s probably because I was pretty impressed with Brad Bird’s directing style like everyone else. Plus, Tom’s acting was actually really good in “Ghost Protocol” too! “Ghost Protocol” really is a fantastic film and if you haven’t seen it yet, it is available for Netflix streaming and I suggest you check it out. I have “Ghost Protocol” in my Netflix instant-que and I was meaning to watch it again soon. Probably this weekend.

No word on the plot and other cast signings but the director for “MI: 5” will be the same director who made the film, “Jack Reacher” (also starring Cruise). I haven’t seen “Jack Reacher” yet but I’ll rent it through Netflix sometime.

Tom Cruise maybe a whack job of a guy but love him or hate him; he still has the talent in acting and film.

Obama and Hillary about to suffer harsh consequences over Benghazi attacks??? I’d say they’re getting close to it…

Welp, three witnesses came up to testify for the Benghazi attacks and they will testify at the hearing this week. Gregory Hicks is one of those witnesses. CBS has some more information on the Benghazi attacks as well. It’s not looking good for the Obama administration and for Hillary Clinton. They could have some harsh punishment on their way. Hopefully, we’ll find out the truth about Benghazi, and it will come out soon enough. Obama and Hilary can’t hide the truth forever.

It’s funny, ya know. Obama and Hillary both sympathize for terrorist attacks in this country and gun violence, when the reality is: Obama and Hillary are two of the most evil people on this planet. They’re both tyrants. More than that, they are dictators. They’re both at the point where they are Hitler & Stalin. Not only that Obama and Hillary needs to be impeached; they need to be taken out of office. They need to go through a federal trial and suffer some pretty harsh consequences. They need life in prison is what they need. If Obama gets exposed for Benghazi, this will lead to getting the truth behind Obama’s background and nationality (that he was actually born in Kenya, not in the US), and this could also help bring out the truth that he was probably behind, “Operation: Fast and Furious”.

A lot of people still believe that Obama is innocent in everything ’cause there hasn’t been any proof yet, but the truth will come out soon enough. You can’t lie forever, people. Obama and Hilary attacked the consulate in retaliation to that Islamic video that surfaced on youtube. Even if they had nothing to do with the attacks, they are still covering stuff up and lying about stuff. We just want the truth. We just want answers. We want justice for the people that were killed & injured during the attacks. We care for the American people, and we hate violence that happens to our beautiful American people. That’s why people care when the public responds to the Benghazi attacks.

Lets hope Obama will be done in office soon. Even better, he should be done living in this society. He should be in a tiny prison cell with no windows. He shouldn’t be allowed to see green grass or the light of day again. The man is the biggest terrorist of them all. Worse than Saddam Husein and Osama Bin Laden. When Obama gets exposed for all the horrible things he committed, I’ll feel bad for Michelle and the kids. It’s gonna be bad for them for sure, but the American people needs to learn how evil Obama really is. People like to defend Obama ’cause he’s black and they hate to hear the truth that he could be behind all of this.

Seriously, folks. When we call out Obama like this for his actions, it’s not about being anti-Obama. It’s about looking at the reality side of things. We’re not gonna make this stuff up. We care  for our country. We love the USA. We just want what’s best for us. When you get lousy politicians trying to bring down the USA, we’re not going to fucking ignore it and smile about it. All those damn liberal people who just ignore this stuff and still act like he’s a good guy are just ignorant fucks. I can’t wait to see the liberals reaction when Obama finally gets busted for this. Remember, you voted him second term.

More on the story, here.

To those bands/musicians who submitted album reviews…

They’ll be posted on here soon. I still need to review an album by Hard Soul and the new Sirsy album. They sent me these albums a while back. I listened to them a few times; just haven’t gotten around to posting the reviews yet, but will. It’s just that I’ve been trying to keep myself busy enjoying life and doing other things. The nice weather is finally here so I’m just trying to be an active person by going outside a lot more often which I have been.

A few more requests came in today, and I’ll get to those too. I’ll start posting reviews again this week. This is one thing that worries me. The more requests that comes in; the lesser time I’ll be able to do them. I need to listen to their albums a few times before writing down my thoughts. When writing music reviews, you never want to write a review right after the first listen. You have to listen to an album carefully a few times before getting your honest thoughts down. Before I write down the review, I would just write down some notes and ideas, then I’ll start writing the review. An outline, I’ll do first.

I’m realizing this stuff takes a while but I’ll get to ’em all the best I can. Just letting the bands know that I’m not ignoring them.

Why buying “used” books is the best way to go these days…

I still like to buy books on hardcover and collect old books ’cause why? I want to keep it old-school. Reading books is very good for you. It’s very healthy for your mind. Reading books will help you get smarter. It’ll help you think; will help you become a better person. I’ve been buying used books at book sales and used book shops like crazy this Spring. Earlier today I went to take a long bike trip out to a book shop out-of-town, and came back home with 4 different books. Came home with another poetry book, a biography of Abe Lincoln, a book about the Kennedy Family, and a book about writing. Yesterday, I went to an Antique Fair, and sure enough they were selling old books too. Yesterday, I picked up a couple of classic books: “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “Phantom of the Opera”. I also picked up a World War II history book.

Last week, I picked up a brand-new book called, “American Sniper” the Chris Kyle story that Steven Spielberg plans to make a movie out of — a brand new book, not a used one.

I’ll stop buying books for a long-while because these will keep me busy throughout the Spring-Summer.

The whole point of reading was that they want you to learn so you can get away from un-healthy things like video-games, TV, etc. Sure enough, technology had to change things around. The digital age of books: the Nook, Ipad, etc. I know I made similar posts like this before but I’ll make it a little different this time. Honestly, I hate the digital age of books. When the Nook, Ipad, and all these gadgets came out where you have to stare at a computer screen to read books, that’s unfair. It’s unfair to the original goal of what books was originally intended to be, if you know what I mean. Nobody reads books by hardcover/paperbacks anymore. People rely on these stupid gadget things.

I do read books on the Ipad digitally sometimes, but only if I want to read something I don’t want to buy at the store or if I want to read something that’s hard to find.

Just like with CD’s, the digital age is destroying books too. Sad but true. Why do you see more book sales and more used book-shops happening more and more? It’s because there’s a lot of people that still like to read books the old-school way. Some prefer to read an actual hardcover/paperback, and not some digital gadget. You can’t buy old books at the new book stores anymore. If you want to read an old classic you won’t be able to get the original edition at a new bookstore; you would get forced to get it on paperback which is unfair. You would find the original hardcover edition at used bookshops.

Used book shops are totally awesome, and I love going to them.

I’ve been buying more politically, government, history, and war books lately ’cause I’m interested in that stuff. Always has been. I just want to learn more about stuff that I didn’t learn in school. Plus, politics and history is interesting to me. When you see me on the internet being all over politics and history stuff, it’s because I care about my country. I love the USA and take our home seriously. Just listen to my songs people. My songs are just as political. So if you get tired of my political stuff, I don’t care. It’s what I like and I want to teach people things myself.

Happy Birthday, Audrey Hepburn…

Today is not only Star Wars day, today is also Audrey Hepburn’s birthday. She would have been 84 years old if she was still alive. She passed away at a young age of 63. Her final movie before her death was Steven Spielberg’s, “Always”, which I just saw not too long ago (great movie too, btw). Yes, I’ve been watching a lot of Audrey Hepburn films through Netflix. I’ve just became obsessed with her all of a sudden. It all started when I watched, “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” on Netflix for the first time. Then I watched: “Wait Until Dark”, “Roman Holiday”, “Love In the Afternoon”, “Funny Face”, “The Nun’s Story”, and “Sabrina”. Those were the ones I’ve watched so far. I’m trying to watch the rest of them.

Why am I so into watching all of these classic movie actresses from the past? I’m just trying to catch up with all the classics and trying to learn more history in film. Pretty important to do. I guess as I get older I get tired of watching new movies all the time, and have been more into watching classics a lot lately.

Thank god for Netflix. Yes, I love Audrey Hepburn and she’s my second favorite legendary actress right behind, Marilyn.

Happy Star Wars day…

While I am more of a “Star Trek” fan than “Stars Wars”, I can appreciate “Star Wars”. Sure, why not? I do like the original trilogy and the prequels. I think the prequels are actually pretty good but the writing on the prequels had some problems, plus I hated the Jar Jar Binks character which he wasn’t needed. I believe the only reason Lucas created Jar Jar ’cause he needed an entertaining character for the children.

I really hope the upcoming new trilogy: 7, 8, and 9 will be much improvements. Without Lucas having anything to do with Star Wars this time around, this could be the perfect opportunity to make the Star Wars better films. Yes, Luke Skywalker, Solo, Leia, Lando, Chewbacca and the rest of the original gang will probably reunite for the new series which is gonna be cool.

I’ve always believe that my favorite Star Wars movies have always been “Empire Strikes Back” and “Revenge of the Sith”; they were the best ones, in my opinion. The rest of ’em were just okay. I think the new trilogy will have the potential to top them all if the writing and directing can be good enough. I think J.J. has what it takes to make them good movies ’cause he knows Star Wars better than anybody since he’s a fan. JJ would know exactly what fans would want out of Star Wars and he would do the films justice, I hope.

I was expecting Lucasfilm to make some huge announcement for “Star Wars 7” on May 4th but so far, they’ve been silent. Star Wars 7 is still in the early stages so we still have got a long ways to go for them to start announcing the plot-line, the cast, etc. I am a fan of “Star Wars”, but I’m not that obsessed. Star Wars is cool, though, don’t get me wrong. I’ve always been a fan ever since I was a child. Even saw “Return of the Jedi” in theater when it first came out. I saw all three prequels in theater too.

I just find Star Wars a tad bit overrated. No offense. I am looking forward to seeing what JJ plans to do with the new films, though, it’s intriguing to me.
