I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

Is original rock n’ roll pretty much dead in local music? I would say yes…

Even though I haven’t been going out to shows to support the local music scene much like I used to, I have noticed a bit of a change over the years, though. I remember in the past, original rock n’ roll used to be huge in the Albany area. A lot of rock n’ roll bands that I liked getting themselves established around this area but it seems that those days are dead and gone.

Lately, I have been seeing this area establishing mostly pop and folk music artists. Original country is getting bigger around here too. It seems that this area doesn’t care about rock n’ roll anymore.

What bothers me about this area is that this music scene tends to promote music and establish artists that is pretty similar to the national music industry. Pop music and country is so popular in mainstream music then chances are pop and country will be popular in local music too.

Such a shame ’cause when I was young, I used to go to local rock n’ roll shows all the freakin’ time. There’s no rock music nowadays. These days local bands & artists are still in a desperate attempt to make it in the industry (many of them will never admit that). That is why more bands around here are playing pop music which saddens me really. Don’t wanna name names.

If I ever get a band of my own someday, I’m going to do my best to bring back the rock n’ roll. I’ve always loved rock music, it’s a shame no one cares about it anymore. These days everyone wants to dance to a country band or go watch a pop duo who plays around with MIDI controllers, loop machines and samplers. *yawn*

Where are all the bands that would play tight and energetic rock shows? I’m not talking about cover bands.

That’s the name of the game,  I guess. The music scene changes and evolves. I’ve seen it changed a lot over the years and really don’t like the way it is now.

That was the best speech Trump delivered since he started his presidential campaign… hopefully you haters will start to see that he’s a real leader after that!

I watched Trump’s first speech to Congress last night and it was freakin’ amazing! I was blown away ’cause that was Trump’s best speech he has ever done since he started his campaign. Yeah, Trump did a lot of speeches throughout his presidential campaign. Did a lot of speeches at his rallies and delivered a few speeches as President during press conferences at the White House but since this was his first speech to Congress, he did an incredible job.

This is exactly why we elected the man, folks. It’s why we all voted for him. He’s smart, a genius and patriotic! When will you haters ever get it? Some haters are starting to see that he’s a real leader after that speech but most haters are still hating on him.

What a breath of fresh air… from Obama to Trump. We finally have a prez who isn’t afraid to say “Radical Islamic Terrorism” and we finally have a prez who is all about America first. Trump’s speech last night was about “unity”. He really called out both Democrats and Republicans about not doing enough to build the American dream. He wanted both Democrats and Republicans to work together to make us a better country.

Democrats will never unite with us, unfortunately. They will always have one-sided opinions and have so much hatred and negativity. It’s crazy that the Democrats sat throughout most of it. They only stood up and applauded to certain things. Even though a lot of Republicans in Congress are anti-Trump, at least they were smart enough to respect our President.

A couple of powerful moments from last night’s speech was that Trump honored a couple of people. Trump gave a shoutout to Megan Crowley, that girl with the rare disease which was very special and heart warming. Trump gave a tribute to slain Navy Seal, Ryan Owens last night and the widow of Ryan Owens got a long standing ovation which was powerful.

One thing I’m noticing today that a lot of liberals and anti-Trump people saying hateful and disrespectful things about Trump honoring Ryan Owens. Saying nasty stuff about Trump sending out Navy Seals to get killed. My question is when did liberals ever care about our military? Obama sent out Navy Seals to get killed as well. That’s what happened during the Bin Laden raid, Navy Seals got killed during it and also Navy Seals were killed during the Chinook Helicopter shootout also under Obama. Obama sent many soldiers out to war to get killed and they never bat an eye. It’s disgusting and shameful that liberals would continue to say negative things about the widow of Ryan Owens. Accusing Trump of using her as a “prop”? Shameful and disgusting. The more liberals continue to say hateful and negative things about Trump after that speech, the more they show their true colors. Liberals are disgusting pigs, I tell ya. It’s amazing how one-sided they continue to be.

It was an incredible speech. We finally have a real president.

Why I disagree with WWE inducting Beth Phoenix aka “The Glamazon” this soon…

Don’t get me wrong, I love Beth Phoenix aka The Glamazon but to consider her a legend this soon? She’s still considered a new WWE Diva ’cause she made her WWE Debut in 2006. Yep, she’s too new and she’s already getting a WWE Hall of Fame induction.

There are other legendary women in WWE who deserve an induction before her… where are: Chyna, Sable, Torrie Wilson, Stacy Keibler, Miss Elizabeth, Rockin’ Robin, Cindy Lauper, Jazz, Victoria, Molly Holly, etc.???

Yeah, it’s crazy that these three women from the 80’s: Miss Elizabeth, Rockin’ Robin and Cindy Lauper didn’t make it in yet. Yes, the pop star Cindy Lauper who is most famous for her hit “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” was a major star in WWF in the 80’s. I don’t like her liberal politics but Cindy Lauper’s legacy in WWE is undeniable. She totally deserves to get inducted all the way.

Beth Phoenix is a badass but not Hall of Fame worthy yet, in my opinion. Most wrestling fans agree with this ’cause most of ’em are outraged. I totally blame this on Edge whose real name is Adam Copeland. Was it him that got WWE to get Beth in the Hall of Fame? Edge and Beth Phoenix are married in real life. Both are retired wrestlers too.

I love WWE but sometimes Vince makes horrible decisions.

Interesting how all these so-called “conservatives” turning their backs on George W. Bush after he slammed Trump on Today Show this morning…

A lot of conservatives today through social networking are being very disappointed and angry with George W. Bush. Why? George W. Bush had an interview on the Today Show with Matt Lauer this morning and George W. slammed Trump over immigration laws by saying, “I am for an immigration policy that is welcoming…”. See the first video above.

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/george-w-bush-welcoming-immigration-policy-235431

Interesting how conservatives have been turning their backs on George W. Why now when they shouldn’t have trusted him years ago? George W. has always been pro-illegals and pro-Islam. Proof on that George W. deported less illegal immigrants than Barack Obama…even Snopes said that was true:

http://www.snopes.com/obama-deported-more-people/

George W. has also always been “friendly” with Islam ever since the 9/11 attacks and even Matt Lauer said that in the video above. It’s interesting how these conservatives loves George W. Bush so much when he has always been too friendly about illegals and Muslims. Conservatives are against illegals and Islam too.

Since these “conservatives” love Trump so much, why are they loving Trump since he had so many bad things to say about George W. over the years? Trump’s been talking trash about George W. for years and that goes way back to 2007 in the video interview above where Trump did an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN (back when CNN used to be nice to Trump, that is).

People always accused me of liking Bush since I’m a very conservative guy but not true. I’ve always hated George W. and I love it when Trump gets onto him about not doing much after 9/11, getting us into war and all that stuff.

Why are conservatives sad at George W. now? George W. is a guy who gets along with Barack Obama. They’ve been friends for years. So-called conservatives who thought George W. was a great leader is no real conservative, in my opinion. George W. has always been a “RINO”. A fake republican with some liberal views. I can’t understand why some conservatives love the guy so much. Liberals can be dumb, naive and uneducated? Yes definitely. Well, some conservatives can be just as bad.

My take on the awkward ending of Best Picture win of the Oscars last night… it wasn’t a mistake… they did a last minute switch to avoid being called “racist” again… Period???

So I actually watched the Oscars last night. Yes, I watched the whole show. I’m going to give a brief review of the show in a bit but first I want to talk about the awkward “Best Picture” win from last night.

So here we go…I don’t know if you caught this or not but if you watch the video above very carefully, as the film crew of “La La Land” started to give their acceptance speeches… you can see an Oscars producer with a headset on walk in the middle of the crowd. If you watch carefully you can see the guy with the headset on, switching envelopes with the “La La Land” director, Damien Chazelle. As the Oscars producer switches envelopes with Damien, you can tell that Damien knew what was going on ’cause he wasn’t looking down as envelopes was being switched. Damien was pretending that none of this was happening. Seems to me that the cast and crew already knew what was going on ahead of time ’cause they had worried looks on their faces when the Oscar producers showed up on stage with another envelope.

The producer of “La La Land” Jordan Horowitz looks absolutely pissed and upset when he kept saying “This is not a joke, Moonlight wins Best Picture”… then he took the envelope from Warren Beatty and held it up for everyone to see.

Warren Beatty blamed himself for the mistake and tried to admit that he read it wrong but it wasn’t a mistake, in my opinion. The whole thing definitely seemed “orchestrated”. I think “La La Land” was originally going to win “Best Picture”, that was the plan but the Oscar producers did a last minute switch so they can avoid getting called “racist”. Doing a last minute switch so they won’t upset the race baiters and the black community. Everybody’s claiming it was a “mistake” but it definitely wasn’t. It’s either the Oscars producers was trying to avoid upsetting the race baiters or the race baiters complained to the Academy when they heard that “La La Land” was going to win. That’s what I think what happened. If “La La Land” won Best Picture instead of “Moonlight”, the Academy would have gotten another backlash so they did a last minute switch to save themselves.

Anyway, on with the Oscars show itself…. a brief review of it, I was trying to figure out if I was watching the BET Awards or the Oscars. Last night was the black community’s night for sure. Mostly black people won awards and presented awards like I’ve been predicting for a while. I knew the blacks were going to win most everything. Hope you’re happy, Al Sharpton and Barack Obama.

I’m not even interested in seeing “La La Land” and “Moonlight” anyways. Both movies look terrible, in my opinion so I’ll probably avoid seeing those.

The only good thing that I actually liked about the Oscars was Sting giving a tribute to journalist James Foley who was killed by Isis. I was surprised that when Dev Petel was introducing Sting to sing the song, he used “Isis” instead of “Isil”. Liberals don’t like to use the name ISIS when it comes to talking about that terrorist group. I was surprised they did a tribute to James Foley which was more of a “conservative” view than liberal. So Sting might be conservative and Trump supporter? Who knows. That was a great performance though.

While they did an okay job with the “In Memoriam” segment they did snub a few: Gary Shandling, Richard Hatch and Miguel Ferrer. They deserved to be in there too but I didn’t see them. A shame.

Of course, most of the Oscars was way too political. The opening Jimmy Kimmel speech was nothing but Trump bashing. Most of the award presenters and award winners bashed the hell out of Trump too.

Most of the Oscars was celebrities crying about “diversity” and shit like that… claiming how they’re so divided under Trump. Man, I tell ya’, yeah we’re a divided nation as a country but if you think it’s Trump’s fault and not Obama’s then you’re definitely out of touch. It’s interesting how no one complained about how divided we are under Obama as president but now everybody is talking about it under Trump. Amazing how “one-sided” people are with their opinions.

Yeah, the Oscars last night was terrible but I only watched it for laughs and that’s it.

RIP: Bill Paxton 1955 – 2017

bill-paxton__140207095739

Another sad loss in Hollywood… actor Bill Paxton has just passed on. This one really sucks ’cause Bill Paxton has always been one of my favorite actors even if he played in smaller roles in certain films. In case you have forgotten who he was… he was the leading star of the hit disaster movie, “Twister” which I’m sure everyone has seen. He also had major roles in films such as “Aliens”, “True Lies”, “Titanic”, “Frailty”, “Weird Science”, “Apollo 13”, etc. He also had a small part in the first “Terminator” movie where he played the punk with the blue spiked hair, yep that was Bill Paxton saying, “Nice night for a walk, hey”? (see video below).

Bill’s latest acting project before his passing was that he was one of the leading roles for the “Training Day” TV show. According to reports, he finished season 1 before his passing.

I wonder if the Oscars tonight will mention him in the “In Memoriam” segment? They probably will. I’m sure they added him in there on the last minute. They better mention him tonight.

Bill Paxton was a great talent and he seemed like a great dude even if I’ve never met him. I don’t think he got involved in politics that much and just focused on his acting career which other actors should take note.

Bill was awesome though and “Frailty” was one of my favorite roles he’s been in. “Frailty” a horror film in which he starred in and directed himself.

Bill was 61 years old.

Interesting how I’ve went from having no problem with celebrities to really despising the hell out of them…

I know I am a huge movie and music buff. Love both movies and music; however, I used to have no problem with famous people who give us all of this entertainment they do. I used to try to be supportive of all them ’cause I liked their art whether in movies or music. As a matter of fact, my blogs used to be blogging about movies, music and celebrities but I happen to give that up — quickly changing my blogging direction to mostly political discussion. I’m glad I did that too.

Celebrities used to be likeable people in the past but now no one cares for them anymore. Basically because of their die-hard liberal politics and them being Obama supporters. I totally blame this on Obama all the way ’cause the way he ran his presidency was all about Hollywood and celebrity. Obama thought he was a celebrity, that’s why he did what he did. Like I said in a blog post before, Obama used the power of celebrity to get political messages through people. That’s why Obama mostly awarded “celebrities” with the Presidential Freedom Awards and that’s why Obama mostly awards celebrities through the Kennedy Center Honors. That’s why Obama appeared on a lot of late night talk shows and things like that. It’s why Michelle appeared on Ellen a lot.

This is why most of Hollywood and the music industry are very liberal with their politics ’cause Obama made it like that. That was probably a huge part of how Obama got elected twice ’cause celebrities helped him.

Celebrities used to be cool in the old days but now I despise all of them except for a few. There’s a few good celebrities left that are actually cool. I still think Sly Stallone is awesome. Sly’s politics is mixed but at least he’s smart enough to keep politics out of his career. There’s a few other celebs who I have no problem with either. Other than that, I don’t really care about famous people anymore like I used to.

It’s really sad to see all these talented people that I used to like and admire but they’ve turned into nothing but liberal hacks: Stephen King, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, George Clooney (yeah, I used to watch a lot of Clooney’s movies but I’m done with him now) and so much more to list.

Thank god for Trump. Finally we have a president who doesn’t give a shit about celebrities.

You sure you want to watch the Oscars tomorrow night? It’s gonna be full of Trump bashing and liberal politics throughout the show. Even though there will be mostly Trump bashing tomorrow there will also be celebrities begging for rights for women, transgenders, Muslims, refugees, illegal immigrants, etc. blah blah blah blah… you get the deal. Sad ’cause I’ve been watching the Oscars every year for a pretty long time. I’m gonna try to watch it tomorrow night but if the politics get out of hand then it’s time to watch something else.

CNN deserves the name “Clinton News Network” ’cause they are lapdogs for Hillary… always has been…

One great thing that Trump did during his CPAC speech earlier today was that he finally called CNN, “Clinton News Network” which was great and totally deserved. Us Trump supporters and even some liberals who are all for Bernie have been calling CNN “Clinton News Network” for a pretty long time. It’s just that Trump never called CNN that until now. This was the first time Trump called CNN “Clinton News Network”.

http://ijr.com/2017/02/809966-president-trump-finally-says-it-brands-cnn-as-the-clinton-news-network-at-cpac/

Like most people I too am tired and fed up of CNN being ass-kissers to the Clintons. CNN really is getting worse and they are obviously being paid a lot of money by someone or some people to attack Trump. Who is paying CNN to make Hillary look good and to make Trump look bad? The Clintons and George Soros probably.

CNN sucks and so does other news networks. If you take them seriously and call them “credible sources” then I feel sorry for you.

Trump delivered a great speech at CPAC today but only disappointing thing about him is…

Trump really delivered a great speech today at CPAC like he always delivers great speeches but ever since he has gotten elected, he really has gone soft on Obama & Hillary. He got all over them two pretty hard during the primaries but now that he’s president, he seems to have ceased all attacks against Obama and Hillary. No longer wants to blame them on things in America.

Notice that Trump has been saying this a lot lately, “I inherited a mess” and now he’s saying, “We inherited a mess”. Um, Mr. President, it was Barack Obama that doubled the national debt and gave us bad foreign policies. Notice that Trump refused to say Obama’s name but instead he says, “We”. It was Obama that gave this country a mess so now Trump is blaming himself for it and saying “We” inherited.

I’m still on the Trump Train and still on board for Trump but there are a few little things I’ve been disappointed with him on. This and also refusing to lock up Hillary is another. The crowd chanted “Lock Her Up” during Trump’s speech today. We still want her ass locked up but he won’t do it.

Other than that, he’s been doing a great job as prez so far. I wish he wouldn’t back down on Obama and Hillary.

Will more celebs at the Oscars come out in support of Trump after the Joy Villa MAGA dress incident?

A lot of people are expecting a lot of Trump bashing at the Oscars and there probably will be but I’m thinking not all of it will be Trump bashing. After the Joy Villa MAGA dress incident at the Grammy’s, do you think more celebs will come out in support of Trump? Whether on the red carpet or during the Oscars show itself, I think a few more movie stars will come out in support of Trump. Who knows who may that be?

Mel Gibson himself seems to be a Trump supporter even though he hasn’t been vocal about it but Mel has been caught giving a dirty look when Meryl Streep was bashing Trump at the Golden Globes. Mel seemed to be disgusted with Meryl bashing Trump at the Globes. Maybe Mel will speak for his support of Trump at the Oscars this weekend, who knows?

We’ll have to wait and see what happens. I think it’ll be cool if more celebs would come out in support of Trump at the Oscars to piss off liberal Hollywood even more. That would be funny as hell!
